Our tour of Oman was absolutely incredible. Our guide was incredibly (Walid) very knowledgeable, sharing insight about Oman history and culture. A hugh thank you to Walid for making our trip to Oman special. The trip to Wadi Shan was one of the highlight, swimming through clear water to a hidden cave was an experience of a lifetime. We went to Nizwa, a beautiful town, we went to the souq and experienced the warm hospitality of Omani people. Then we stayed 2 nights at what I call a true magical experience up in the mountains. Our tour guide took us to the rugged mountains of jebel akhdar where we enjoyed incredible hikes and stunning views. Oman is a paradise for adventure seekers. Thank you to Walid in making a memorable trip.

We actually did two tours with Sunshine, and 5 Stars for both. We did the Nizwa/Jebel Akhdar and the half day Muscat city tour. Both are well worth it, and enhanced by a very good guide/driver. Initially, communication with Sunshine was good, as they responded to our email inquiries, and were very flexible in scheduling our tours and coming up with options for us. (We wanted 10 a.m. starts rather than the usual 8:30). We quite appreciated our guide/driver, Said Alkiyumi. He was good driver, and we felt safe at all times. He was polite, friendly and accommodating. He was conversational and informative, but never too talkative. Most importantly, he provided us information and options as we went about our tour, but was never pushy or rushed. The NIzwa/Jebel Akhdar tour is long day, but gives a chance to see the scenery of the interior of Oman (pretty, rugged and mountainous). Nizwa was interesting, both the Nizwa Fort and Castle. We also enjoyed the Souq, and did some nice shopping there. The mountains of Jebel Akhdar provide pretty views. Enjoy the scenery on the drive. There are overlooks once at the top. We found the Princess Diana viewpoint wasn't nearly as good as stopping at the Anantara hotel and seeing the view from there. Give that a look. We did a lunch stop at the Layali Al Jabal Restaurant right next to the Anantara, which was very good. The City tour as also very interesting. The Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque was the highlight. In our opinion, you could skip the Royal Opera House, as it turned out to be a long stop and a good bit of waiting around for the tour inside the Opera House (given by one of their guides once a large enough group had assembled), only to have the presentation given inside the opera house where construction workers were assembling some part of the stage and making lots of noise). We would have traded that stop for a closer look at the forts or a stop at the museum. Our guide, though, was patient, and when we took time at the Mutrah Souq that made the tour run longer than allotted, he never rushed us.

We had a brilliant day trip from Muscat to Wadi Shab and Bimmah Sinkhole. Our guide Faisal was so welcoming and shared us tips and recommendations for restaurants and other places to visit around Muscat. The walk and swim at Wadi Shab was amazing - thank you Faisal for making it such an enjoyable day.

We did a full 8 day tour of Oman with Sunshine Tours, and were incredibly happy. Our guides Amar and Khaled were knowledgeable, incredibly kind with our kids and attentive to our needs, and Oman is a fantastic destination, full of history and beauty. We would wholeheartedly recommend both visiting the country and using Sunshine Tours to do so.

The sunshine tour and in particular our guide Waled have been very special. They followed us since the beginning in organizing our tour has we preferred and everything was exactly has planned and also better. We had a wonderful time on our tour with Waleed and Star Tours. From the initial planning emails with the office to the final drop off at the airport, it was a great experience. Waleed was always prepared and always punctual. He answered every one of our many questions and provided lots of information about Oman and the places we visited. The vehicle was clean and in good condition. The lodgings Star booked were as advertised and decent tour accommodation. A left-behind mobile phone traveled from Muscat to the desert as if by magic, thanks to network of tour guides at Star. We'd used them again and recommend them to our friends without hesitation.

We had a great time in Oman seing many different places and landscapes. We especially enjoyed swimming in the wadis and staying in the desert. We were two families traveling with two excellent guides.

We made a tour of 9 days through Oman and has been a wonderful experience. A wonderful day with Amer and Khaled, who looked after us fantastically. Such kind and wise guides, and Muscat is a beautiful city. Ended the day eating fabulous seafood by the water. Highly recommended!

I went to Wadi Shab desert with my mom and it was magical! We went private with Sunshine Tours Oman and had Amar as our guide. The drive getting there was fun! The Land Rover did it’s job in the sand! We had a nice cabin with AC. I climbed the big dunes near the camp, it was hard but so worth it! Took nice pictures and enjoyed the moment. Later, Amar drove us up the dunes to watch the sun set! So beautiful!! Musicians played traditional music while we ate at the buffet. It was movie night near the dunes! A big cinéma screen played Arabian Night! 😊 The next day I had a ride on a camel and we were gone to another beautiful place in Oman. The Best way to visit is with a private guide with Sunshine Tours because it is personal. We saw big tour groups and it was too many people. With Omar, we had good conversations about everything. It added to our experience!

I could not of asked for a better day exploring nature in Oman! Amar picked us up in Muscat in a nice Land Rover and we drove to a big sinkhole where we had the option to swim. The second stop of the day was to this nice long deserted beach with no one in sight! On Fins Beach, we took the time to look for nice seashells and relaxe. The water was warm. The next stop was my favorite one! Wadi Shab is an enormous canyon gorge where you can hike to some pools of fresh water. The hike ends at a cave with deep blue water and a waterfall. I recommend water shoes. It is 5km in total. Later on we drove at our hotel on Turtle Beach where I saw the nicest pink colored beach!! The color comes from small seashells. It was too pretty!! After dark, we were lucky enough to go observe a big green turtle cover her eggs. It was done with respect for the turtle with a guide from the Turtle Reserve. I highly recommand Sunshine Tours Oman and Amar as a guide. He also tought us alot about the culture and lifestyle of the omani people who are the most welcoming.
