Since writing my review about the service that l and my friend had received from star tours l must say there response has given faith in this company.l thing the problem was a lack of understanding on both sides .the service we got last year was super and this year l think it was just a break down in understanding .like l said this company is very helpful

Said was a wonderful guide! It was an amazing experience. We highly recommend this tour and visiting Oman!! I have been coming here for years on business, but this is the first time I have taken some time out to experience Muscat. We went with Amer our tour guide. He was fabulous, and advised what to wear the day before visiting the Grand Mosque. The Grand Mosque was fabulous with the second largest chandelier in the world and the largest carpet in the world and also learning about Islam. It was interesting to see how the cooling worked in the mosque too given the high heat in Oman. We then went to Mutrah after we went to the souk and harbour. After shopping we all grabbed lunch/juices. It was such a wounderful Souk. We also had a glimpse into the fish market. Amer was fabulous in showing us where to get particular items in the Souk. We then went to Al Zubair Museum where we learn about Omani living, the culture, the history. Amer was a great guide and showed and talked about artifacts of interest. We then went to the Opera house, which was tremendous and we saw an organ with 4000 pipes. We also observed where the Sultan sits to enjoy the opera. I would highly recommend Amer from Star Tours. Amer was fabulous in showing us around. We very much enjoyed the tour.

Don‘t usually leave reviews, but this was excellent! With Mohammed it was like being with a friend that is showing you the best sights of Muscat, absolutely lovely, highly recommended!

A perfect tour . Our guide Khalil Alijabri made sure we were well informed about Muskat and Omani culture . Comfortable cool car with lots of water . Khalil was very patient and helpful while we bargained for local treasures at muttrah souq . Doing a late afternoon evening tour allowed us to walk around in the cooler temperatures . Would thoroughly recommend Khalil and this tour .

First of all, I can recommend this tour to everyone who is visiting Oman and wants to experience the beautiful nature of this brilliant country. Ahmed, our guide, arrived at 8.30am at our hotel. Ahmed speaks very good english, asked us about our preferences, told us many things about Omans culture and explained us everything where we drived through. The drive to the desert took us 2.5h which felt much shorter due to our conversations. At the desert, we had time to take some pictures and enjoy the calm. After that, we visited a bedouin house where we saw some camels, eat some delicious dates, local coffee and bought some souvenirs. Afterwards, we drove about 45min till the Wadi Bani Khalid and the real experience started for us. This oasis is a jewel and we couldn‘t believe how beautiful this place is. Ahmed didn‘t gave us a time limit, he told us we should enjoy it how long as we want it. He even watched out for our bags, however, this is not needed since Oman is such a safe place. Our guide made everything more enjoyable and he even searched for a local dates shop to stop by, because we wanted to buy some delicious gifts. We can only recommend to do this tour with Ahmed, this is really a 10/10 experience if not much more!

Mohammed is an expert city guide. I felt really special throughout the half day tour. The stop for some traditional food was an added bonus. Thanks very much for giving me a lovely insight into Muscat.

We were a family of 5, and our guide was Khalid. With it being Sept and out of season it wasnt busy but we understood tht it gets very busy with both locals and tourists during high season.Khalid arrived on time with a air con 4 XWD... and our trip involved visiting Wadi Bani Khalid, and then watching the sunset in the desert. We were due to visit a bedouin family, but chose to go straight to the sunset for a camel ride and have more time in the desert. Khalid never pressured or pushed us and was so patient. Beware it is a long drive from Muscat to the Wadi (2hrs 45 mins) , khalid was very knowelgeable and answered all our questions about Omani culture and history. The Wadi was not busy we arrived around 2:15 after he picked us up at our hotel at 11:30. There is a restaurant and changing facilities....women should be appropriately dressed to swim. The water was very refreshing. Then we went to the desert ...desert hills camp....and had a camel ride,coffee snd dates. Khalid found an isolated perfect place to watch the sunset and it truly was worth the drive, with spectacular views and lots of time to take photos. This was the only occasion we checked the time to make sure we didnt miss it. As we were leaving another tour car was climbing the dunes and clearly missed it. Would definitely recommend this tour if you do not mind a long drive and or you should camp over....we saw a tourist in a saloon car stuck...it is definitely advisable having an experienced guide to navigate the sand dunes...take out air in tyres etc....and use the correct vehichle....... khalid was fab....thank you Khalid for some amazing memories of Oman...we arrived back at our hotel around 8:30pm .

Had a lovely day trip with Khalil Al Jabri, we went to Nizwa souq, Nizwa Fort / Castle and Jabal Akhdar. Khalil gave us great history lessons and local knowledge in those areas and was very accomodating and friendly. We also went to a date tree farm and saw Omans water system. I recommend everyone to go with Khalil on this tour, he has a lot of knowledge and is very kind and friendly.
