- C9566ZScharlesn0 contributionsGood day out!Really good trip, amazing sights especially of the Grand Canyon! Well planned route for sure and Abdullah was fantastic! Very friendly, helpful, insightful and really funny! A great guide!Written March 22, 2025
- 729immad0 contributionsA mere dayI went on the desert and Wadi Shabi excursion last Wednesday with Abdullah and I highly recommend him. He is a very friendly person as well as a serious driver🥂🌎✌️Written March 21, 2025
- W1009ORanthonyc0 contributionsSlack tour guide. Beautiful locationTour guide was very slack… May aswell hire your own driver to just drop you off Views are amazing and the wadi is unreal But I don’t recommend this tour guide if you want to learn anything about the history of the place.Written March 20, 2025
- Martyn H0 contributionsBe very carefullThe Wadi is visually spectacular and no doubt an experience to remember. However, one has to be prepared for a decent walk that needs in parts some seroius concentration from the parking lot to where the excitement begins. Whe one gets into the water the rocks are covered in slime and difficult to walk and climb on to the extent that 2 out of our party of 5 who actually went into the water wanted to immediately turn back. I managed to get to the end of the first pool and when climbing out slipped, and slid smashing by head, arms and back to the extent that a week later I am still scabbed with weeping wounds and bruises the size of footballs In short, only 3 of the 7 people came out in one pieceWritten March 13, 2025
- 677jonc0 contributionsBlue pools and hidden waterfalls - great day trip!A really wonderful experience. Our guide Abdallah was great, giving us advice, very friendly and knowledgeable. Once we arrived at the Wadi, it is a good 50-60m in hike, and even in March it was 32 degrees C and very hot. So bring a hat and water. The gorge is stunning and we saw palm dates, banana trees, Abdallah taught us how to skim rocks and showed us the tiny frogs and dragonflies. When you get to the swimming section, it was so nice and cool. It's a good 20 min swm and scramble over rocks to the cave. A bit claustrophobic getting in and you need to tread water but the waterfall and cave is amazing. The sink hole also made another nice swim. If you come during Ramadan, remember no lunch place will be open but the sandwiches and snacks provided were fine. Probably worth buying the water shoes they suggest (at the gas station on the way or beforehand) as the rocks aren't so much sharp but very slippery! And a waterproof camera (with flotation on it) or a good waterproof pouch for your phone means you can take photos all the way into the cave. A really great tour to a special place with an excellent guide.Written March 13, 2025
- fabianomori0 contributionsOman in 5 days - daily trips from MuscatI visited Oman for a short period of only 5 days in March 2025. I booked daily tours from Muscat with GidOman to some attractions in Oman, including city tour in Muscat, amazing Wadi Bani Khalid swiming in warm waters, stunning sunset in the desert, visiting historic city of Nizwa, views of the green terraces in Jebel Akhdar, Bimmah Sinkhole and the highlight of my trip in Wadi Shab with a beautiful canyon and natural crystal pools. For the grand finale I took a boat trip to the Daymaniyat Islands, I could not imagine this paradise near Muscat, I have never seen so many turtles in my life! Communication with GidOman was smooth, every day I received a message with the pick-up times from the hotel and also the contact details of the guide. On each day tour I had a different guide - Jamal, Mohammed, Qais, Mazin, Roman, they were all extremely polite, helpful and very knowledgeable about Omani culture. Despite the Ramadan period, the guides always made an effort to find places to buy food for lunch, as most restaurants are closed during this period. Transfers from the airport to the hotel were also arranged by GidOman. Oman is an incredible country, with nature, history, culture and extremely welcoming people. I really recommend Gidoman to discover the wonders of Oman!Written March 11, 2025

- Arlen M0 contributionsMust do if in Oman!Honestly a fantastic experience! Both sites were incredible, especially the wadi! The tour guide was really nice and friendly, and made sure the group all got to the water safely from the hike. Despite it being Ramadan, food/water/refreshemnts were providedWritten March 1, 2025

- 168briam0 contributionsDesert and WadiWe had a spectacular day in this tour. From the start of the day, our guide Aziz was on time picking us up and the car was clean and comfortable setting us up for a nice trip. Aziz was very knowledgeable of each area we visited and told us many useful facts and tips. The desert was beautiful but the highlight was the Wadi! It was truly a day to be remembered and we can’t wait to visit Oman again for a longer timeframe to see all the beauty the country had to offer! And we will definitely be looking for Aziz to show us around once more!Written February 26, 2025
- emanuelagS1520IH0 contributionsWonderful excursion in natureWonderful natural wadi (valley). It’s a canyon with trees, pools and rocks. The trekking is quite easy but very often crowded. It’s better to go in the early morning.Written February 25, 2025
- BogFactor30 contributionsBeautiful excursion seeing what's special about OmanMy friend and I booked this day-long excursion to visit Wadi Shab. First, the location and experience are hard to beat. You drive to the Wadi, take a short boat ride across the water, hike about 45 mins (not super strenuous, but a real hike), and then swim between beautiful fresh water pools in the wadi - ending in a cave and waterfall. We've never experienced anything like this and it was a wonderful and beautiful day outside. Read the instructions and plan ahead - you'll need shoes for hiking, sandals for the water, and waterproof bag (or phone case). The group will stop at a gas station along the way where you can buy water shoes or a case. Also, you can rent a life vest, but definitely an activity for people who are swimmers. Our guide Mahmoud was friendly and enthusiastic. He did a great job keeping track of our group and guiding us along the way. We had a very delicious lunch after our long day outside. The sinkhole was also an interesting visit, but the main event was our day at Wadi Shab. Plan for a whole day - you can also pay a bit more to get picked up at your hotel and we appreciated that option. If you're going to Oman, don't miss this outing. It was truly special.Written February 24, 2025
