About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- U6279AVnicolec0 contributionsUnreliable. Just don’tPrepaid and booked for hotel transfer. Showed up over 30 mins late. And more expensive than other providers. Don’t bother.Written July 23, 2023
- 1996ellen0 contributionsFood and Rum TourWe joined Food and Rum tour few days ago and it was fantastic! Before my booking, I contacted the company with lots of questions and got quick responses every time. Booking on their website was straightforward. On the tour day, we got to stop by lots of view points around the island and tasted all kinds of delicious local cuisine and fruits. Our driver Chris was on time, polite, kind, fun and knowledgeable. He answered all of our questions about the island and told us the history and culture of his country and people. He is also a very experienced and safe driver. This tour is very unique, it’s interesting, engaging. We loved it so much and would recommend it to anyone who plans to visit St. Lucia.Written January 10, 2023

- thelta0 contributionsFood & Rum TourWe were very pleased that we did this tour on our honeymoon in November, as it was good to get out of the resort, where the food was more global cuisine, and see the real Saint Lucia and experience the food on offer in the way locals do. All of the food that we tried was very good, and we travelled around most of the island during the day. The other 4 people who were supposed to be on the tour never turned up, so it was just the 2 of us with the guide, and he was very friendly and helpful. Thank you for a great day!Written January 5, 2020
- sherjo220 contributionsSafe courteous caring driverI rode with Marvin about 2 hours across St. Lucia from Gros Islet to Rodney Bay and then requested him for the return trip. Marvin shared the cultural aspects of St. Lucia. He spoke on customs and hot spots. He seemed to be a wealth of knowledge and ambassador for St. Lucia. He was safe. This drive is hairpin and crazy at times but he did a great job! Also, I was traveling solo and was made to feel comfortable and safe. If you ask for Marvin tell him I sent you.Written December 30, 2019

- WeTravelin20 contributionsSpend an Amazing Day with local food!!!The day we spent with Delvin, the local foods we ate and the rum tour was just the BEST!!! We only wish we had time to do more tours with him! The local foods we had were amazing!! Things we would not have found on our own. It was so good to do a tour that wasn't the 'usual' tour stuff. We highly recommend it!!!Written September 26, 2019
- Jamdiva0 contributionsThe Highlight of Our VacationWe booked two tours with The Other Tour St. Lucia and my husband and I agree that our vacation would not have been the same without Del and his Highlights of the West Coast and Food and Rum Tour. We have a special connection to the Caribbean, with deep roots in Jamaica, and Del was expertly able to tailor both tours to our interests. The West Coast tour allowed us to see the country with its fishing villages and mountain views. The second tour, the Food and Rum tour, was an amazing day of familiar foods done in ways that were uniquely St. Lucian. We ate really well that day! It was a much needed and welcomed departure from hotel food and felt very curated, intimate. and most of all, authentic. At each stop, we felt like we were hanging out with friends! Del was always on time, responsive, patient, knowledgable and an expert driver. He navigated the literal up and downs of the road and twists and turns with ease. I highly recommend The Other Tour St. Lucia. You will find a truly unique experience that is not offered by anyone else. We feel like we booked a tour and ended up with a friend.Written April 29, 2019
- audrey2680 contributionsPerfect Day getting to know St LuciaThis is such a fun tour full of culture and food of St Lucia. We stopped at many different points for photo ops and food. Things we would have never known about. We tried many different things that are exclusive to St Lucia. You may want to take extra money as there are shopping opportunities along the way but no pressure to buy anything if you don’t want to. We truly felt like we had made a friend by the time we parted ways with Dell. Audrey and Dan from Nashville TnWritten February 16, 2019
- R1ch4r90 contributionsA fascinating, friendly and delicious tour. The Other Tour was a highlight of our recent St. Lucia trip. It was a food and culture tour that brought us to places and tastes that we never would have experienced on our own. The tour included a stop at a place that makes and sells cassava bread – delicious fruit-filled, flour-free breads made from cassava, peeled, processed and baked on the premises. Next was a stop for home-made salt fish stew, their national dish, with bread fruit, prepared and wonderfully spiced by a Agatha, a delightful woman at their place, overlooking the sea. With these flavors lingering in our mouths, we next visited the kitchen of a chocolatier, who demonstrated the entire process of making her excellent organic chocolate bars, from locally grown coco pods. This included tasting samples of bars of different levels of dark chocolate (Yum). We visited a mountain top homestead, where Tony roasted cashews in the shell, over an open flame, and gave us a tour of his beautiful home and grounds. We then stopped at a front porch barbeque, where marinated pork was cooked over wood coals, and served in an excellent sauce. My wife doesn’t eat pork, so she was given a delicious fish dish. Many residents of the area stop by to get a dish. It was explained that people will cook and sell one day a week, each on different days, so as not to compete with each other, and the locals know whose day it is. Another stop was at a roadside stand that bakes baguettes in a wood fired stone oven. Again, many locals stopped to shop there. We got freshly baked baguettes, 2 for $1. The tour included stops for beautiful views, as we circuited the island. It was an experience like no other – an authentic, friendly, private tour, at places that tourists have not discovered. My wife and I highly recommend The Other Tour St. Lucia.Written February 8, 2019
- Ian B0 contributionsFantastic for Airport TransferThe Other Tour was great for our trip from and return to the airport. Booking the shuttle on their website was easy, pricing very clear and the communication from the company (including reminders of pick-ups) was top notch. Our plane arrived early and the driver was waiting there with our name on a sign. The drive to Rodney Bay took about 90 minutes, but our driver was a great conversationalist. Return trip to the airport was also great. Punctual driver and professionalism made it all quite smooth. Highly recommend for airport transfer.Written January 29, 2019
- Saywhat2u0 contributionsForever MemoriesIf you want the real St.Lucian experience then this tour is for you. We enjoy our time so much with Del from The Other Tour that we booked additional tours. Del was always on time and picked us up at our villa for no additional charge unlike other tours that wanted extra for pick up. He had a cooler with drinks prepared for the day. We traveled the island meeting locals and enjoying food that was prepared for us in traditional island ways. We had tastings of sauces, jellies, and rums that I had no idea even existed. Our time spent on tour was the absolute best part of our trip. We have memories we will cherish that will last a lifetime. Thank you Del and The Other Tour for making our vacation unforgettable.Written January 16, 2019
- CindyLM7020 contributionsThe other tour St LuciaThis tour was fantastic, we wanted to get some island history and visit some local places. That is exactly what we did. Our driver was born and raised on St Lucia so he knew exactly where to take us. We were taken to a rum tasting, to his “moms” house for a wonderful lunch, a local beer brewery and a local bakery, not your normal bakery for some fresh bread. We we also had the opportunity to meet a gentleman that cooked cashews for us and showed us around his home that he built himself. If you get a chance to take this tour, I definitely would. I give it a 5 star, will definitely do it again if I get the chance.Written October 8, 2018

Thank you Delvin & Devon for the wonderful day. We took Delvin's tour last week and had a wonderful time. Would highly recommend this tour for authentic and local flavors with a friendly, knowledgable and fun tour guide. The tour was almost a full day and seamless end to end. Delvin picks you up at your hotel and then guides you to several local spots for tastings. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast of salted cod with fresh bakes, then did a Rum Distillery tour, a hot sauce and spice tasting, lunch at his Delvin's mother's home and then two other stops including a visit to a family owned farm where we had fresh fruits. Getting to have a peaceful lunch in his mother's garden of coconut fish curry was my favorite but there were so many great experiences to choose from! We loved the experience and would recommend to anyone wanting to try more local cuisine. I've done food tours often in when traveling and this one was by far the best. The entire day felt like an outing with friends, filled with great food and laughs. Thank you Delvin and best of luck growing your business!

My husband and I had a private tour with our fantastic tour guide, Andy!
We started the day with a delicious breakfast of salt fish and bakes at a quaint little restaurant. We then took an interesting tour of the Bounty Rum Factory which ended with a rum tasting with a choice of 22 different rums!
Next stop was a scrumptious, authentic St. Lucian lunch at a private home; the food was prepared by the owner! We then visited a farm and tasted fresh fruits, drank from coconuts, and roasted and ate cashews, which were prepared over an open fire. Last, we stopped a cute bakery for dessert! While traveling around St. Lucia, Andy entertained us with interesting facts about the island and its history. Thank you, Andy, for such a fun, memorable day!

This tour was excellent and I can’t recommend it enough. Delvin was an incredible host taking us round the hidden gems on the island, this real is a taste of the country away from the tourist hot spots.
The 5 star service starts from the get go with great communication from the team and incredibly flexibility as we had multiple pick up and drop off points and we had two vegetarians and someone who didn’t eat fish in our group! Everyone was well fed and well taken care of and the whole day was well coordinated. Each of the stops on our food and rum tour were fantastic, I won’t spoil it all here but you will not be disappointed!!
Do not hesitate to book this tour, you will have a fantastic day and meet some genuine and lovely people too.

This tour is a must if you’re interested in food and history. Delvin was the most amazing tour guide! He’s extremely friendly and knowledgeable, and will give you the best of the best. Everything Delvin does is done with so much love and it’s apparent in his tours. We went on a Saturday so Delvin took us to the market (only on Saturdays) as a fun little bonus. The official tour has an authentic breakfast, a farm tour with so many fresh fruits, lots of rum sampling, a visit to his aunt or mom’s house for an authentic dish that’s almost impossible to find at any restaurant, and a few fun stops along the way. It’s rare to be treated with such care and welcomed into someone’s home during a vacation. Delvin knew so much history of the island and was so easy to talk to; you can ask him anything! You have to do this tour at least once in your life if you’re in St. Lucia. ♥️

The tour was great. We were able to experience local food and culture with a friendly knowledgeable local guide named Chris. The highlight of the tour for me was the visit to the local farm. It gave us a snapshot of rural life in Saint Lucia. Chris' passion for farming was evident in his description of local sustainable farming methods. We were able to taste farm fresh produce and see where it grows.
The food and rum tasting is a must for anyone who loves to try new things. We sampled Infused rums, flavored hot sauces and local cuisine.
Chris is a great person, he went out of his way to make sure we had a memorable experience. I would highly recommend this tour that supports hard working local families and businesses.

What an amazing experience it was to go where the locals go. Start this tour hungry because you will be fed. The food was amazing, all the people we met along the way and we had the opportunity to purchase products we sampled along the way if we chose to. Absolutely no pressure to buy at all. Delvin was a kind and knowledgeable tour guide and loves to share the island tourists don’t usually get to see. We had a great time with him. I highly recommend this tour if you want to experience something outside of the “touristy” options everywhere.

Leaving from Pigeon island we headed south to several stops to sample local foods and rums. Andy ( who is a great professional performer) was excellent in describing the culture and cuisine of the island. Stopped for photos and toured the rum distillery. Pretty much want we asked for he delivered. Thanks THE real St Lucia tour company.

We had an amazing day with Dalvin. He took us to several places to learn about St. Lucian spices and rums. We toured the rum factory and had meals at two local places, one of which was his mother’s house. She was gracious enough to teach us about local fruits and vegetables and explain how they are prepared. We also got to meet a local farmer named Tony, sample all kinds of fresh fruits from Tony’s family farm, tour the farm, and learn how to roast cashews over a fire. There were lots of great views along the day and we loved learning the St. Lucian culture. If you are someone who likes experiences that are different from standard tours we highly recommend this adventure.

Listen, if you do only one thing in St. Lucia, let it be this tour! This was by far the best tour I took while there. You get everything in one- food, rum, history, and sightseeing.
Delvin is an absolutely amazing tour guide. He arrived early to pick me up and he was kind, accommodating, and extremely personable. While on the tour, he answered my many questions and shared some history and cultural nuances about St. Lucia. As someone of Caribbean heritage, this tour felt truly authentic and was everything I was looking for. You can tell Delvin genuinely cares about his culture and you can see the intentionality with which he created this tour. It was also evident that he wants to make sure other local vendors benefit from his work.
Another great part of the tour were the people. Boyzie, one of the vendors who does the sauce and rum tastings, was simply the best. She was friendly, funny, and generous; I adored her. Tony and his brother were informative and I liked the various demonstrations they gave us on their farm. We also happened to meet up with another group that was being led by Chris, a tour guide from this company, and he was great. He offered a lot of great information about farming practices. Kaye Savann provided a delicious breakfast and Delvin’s aunt also made a truly wonderful lunch. I’m really glad I got to do this tour and learn so much about the beautiful culture of St. Lucia.

I was hesitant to book this experience because it was so pricey, but it was worth every cent! Essentially, this is an all-day personal driving tour of St Lucia viewing, eating and tasting spots. I really got a sense of St Lucia cuisine, cooked by the friends and family of my tour guides! We went to one hidden spot after another. If I had spent a month here I never could have found these special spots. Kudos to Andy & Dreas, and to their pals who hosted me all day. I left full, informed, delighted, and a bit drunk!
