A lovely way to watch the scenery go by and not too long a journey to be bored. My partner, his mum and I enjoyed our short trip on the open top bus between Llandudno and Conway ... and back again, later. We thought it was good value, especially with the ticket lasting for 24 hours and running well into the evening.
The drivers, especially the first one, were friendly and helpful and, obviously well skilled, judging by the careful passage through the narrow archways in Conway! The commentary was also informative, without being too full on. We were amazed (and saddened) that the recorded voice was the only Welsh accent we heard during our three night stay in Llandudno.
Would recommend.

Taken by default as the cable cars were not operating due to windy weather - very happy with this trip well worth the money got off to see the Palace and the smallest house in Wales. Loads of great views of the harbour and plently of places to eat and drink. Would go again.

We bought the combo ticket As suggested by the friendly and helpful salesman at the end of the pier, this gave us the hop on hop off tour, the Orme explorer and the vintage bus tour.
The hop on hop off tour was nice with clear commentary, as suggested by the sales guy we got off at Conwy, it’s a lovely town, we visited the smallest house and had chips on the quayside on the picnic tables provided. We then explored the town and castle walls before catching the bus back to Llandudno.
The explorer takes you to the summit of the great orme in a minibus, again with commentary.
The vintage bus ride takes you around the orme with great personal commentary with a short stop halfway.
These tickets can be used over 48 hours.

It cost £27 for two of us to have tickets that lasted only 24 hours and were told the buses were only hourly. While we enjoyed being on the open top and seeing the sights and castle, we only used our tickets once and it felt like we had really overpaid. There didn’t seem to be just a one-off journey option, £13.50 each seems ridiculous.

Really enjoyed my experience. Staff really nice and helpful. Some great views in and around Llandudno and Conwy.
Pre recorded guided tour was really useful. The hop on and off was a great way to see both places and a round trip takes about 50 mins
As a tour driver myself I would definitely recommend.

I mistakenly bought wrong tour ticket but felt I could stop on the way to Deganwy. When it was coming up to Deganwy train station (a place on the program where it says its a request stop) I pressed the stop button and stood up fully intending to get off at this stop and spend the afternoon in Deganwy but the driver did not stop? I just sat back down realising the bus wasn't stopping until it got back to base, very disappointing. I wonder how the driver didn't hear the button or see me? However, I did enjoy the tour and had amazing views of Conwy Castle, West Shore etc and later bought a ticket for the Great Orme bus tour. The staff at base were really friendly and helpful.

This was my first visit to Llandudno, we'd actually planned to do the tram up to Great Orme but it was so busy we decided to try the Great Orme Explorer tour bus. We were so glad the tram was busy! The road route up Great Orme was honestly amazing. The views were out of this world, the tour bus drivers were incredibly informative and we would have missed such amazing views if we'd gone on the tram. I'd genuinely reccomend this tour, it's worth every penny. From the guy who you book your tickets with to the drivers of the tour bus, they made our experience amazing. The entire team deserve every credit, they go above and beyond. I am nervous going up mountains and I honestly felt so safe the entire journey.

Hop on, Hop off service was excellent but the Orme Explorer Service (Mimibus) not so good. We arrived at Llandudno Pier and your Employee took our Surname and told us to return in 25 minutes when it was due to leave. We found seats and your Employee read out the Surmames of the people who had booked. On board were quite a few people who had not booked. Just before we departed a group of 5 arrived who had previously booked. There was just five seats left all separate. What would have happened if there were not enough seats for the 5 who had already booked?

A very worth while adventure to both capture an insight knowledge of the town of Llandudno and Conwy and view the area. Very good commentary throughout the journey. Recommend that you hop off in Conwy and explore this magic little town and catch a later bus to continue your journey. Enjoy

The sound quality was appalling and only when the bus was stopped could I actually hear any of the commentary. This was the most expensive bus ride from Llandudno to Conway!
I complained when we got back to Conway and the guy who sold us the combination tickets apologised but reminded me that I could use them again for another day! I asked him why I would when I couldn’t hear anything.
I love a city bus tour but this one was very poor indeed!

We have purchased tickets online but it says we need to get it printed, however we do not have access to a printer. Will electronic tickets be accepted?

I am not sure, we bought tickets on the day. There is a little office next door to the mI bus stop near the pier. Best bet is to ask someone who has a printer before you go.
are mobility scooters allowed on the hop on hop off buses?

Are the buses wheelchair friendly?

Yes, they are. There is a ramp onto the bus but I don’t think anyone who is wheelchair bound would be able to get up to the top deck.
