          Go on, challenge yourself
What a great trip. It was so well organised from start to end and our lovely guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Pick up at the door, coffee on the ferry, encouragement on the climb, tea and cake at the end and drop off back to the door. What more could you ask for. Avoid the crowds and experience one of Norway's hidden gems.

          Stunning views, great guide!
Our guide Hegga was great. Pickup was on time, she bought her husky with her who my son instantly adored. She engaged with all members of our group and was considerate of the walking pace of the group, pausing and waiting if people fell too far back. Rather than following the tourist route back down she took us via another route which was challenging but much more peaceful! She checked if everyone was happy to do this. Whilst walking she talked about the area and was very knowledgeable. My group really enjoyed this trip.

          Great hike at Preikestolen
We had an amazing time at Preikestolen. Our guide was friendly and very careful to make us feel at ease and get the most out of the experience. He told us many interesting things about Norwegian culture, folklore and nature, and also took us a beautiful picture on the Pulpit Rock. Great day ! Highly recommended!

          Great Preikestolen trip
What an amazing hike! Taking the guided tour to the Preikestolen was definitely the best option for us - we were picked up from our hotel by our guide Sean, who was really helpful and informative, and judged the pace and fitness of the four of us very well. The early (7am) start proved to be a great move; it meant the hike and the rock itself were pretty uncrowded when we got there (great for our photos!). Big contrast to later in the day, when the coaches had arrived and the way up looked like a long queue of people. Thanks Sean!

Sunset hike: avoid the crowds, experience a night hike and enjoy amazing views!
We did the sunset hike with Shaun and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to experience the stillness of the place (without dozens of tourist, lining up for an instagram shot). Going up in the dark has an adventurous feel (which is great if you want to lure two teenage daughters into doing this hike). The hike was more challenging than expected but if you take your time (which you can) it's absolutely doable. We did it in a speedy 1.40h (hooray for us). Shaun is a sociable, chatty guide and it's the first time I ever experienced a guide who was actually more enthusiastic than the guest (he kept making shots of the sunset). So overall a true five star experience, there' is absolutely nothing that could have been better. Thanks!

          Great guide!
Apart from the amazing site at the end of the hike, we had a fantastic guide, a really nice, friendly woman. Before we started the hike the guide explained the profiles of the walk, which was great as the first part is quite steep and gives you a kick start at 8am. The guide was also respectful of the slower walkers and gave them opportunities to take breaks. Great company. Thanks!

          Never and Never Again
We booked a guided tour for Pulpit Rock Preikestolen via Lysefjorden Adventure. Our pick up time planned on 13 May at 7: AM We received the message below from them on 12 May evening at 20:21 “Hi Unfortunately we have not met minimum number of participants for tomorrow, and need to cancel the tour. However, we can reached you to Tuesday if that’s an option for you? I’m sorry for the inconvenience for you. Br Lysefjorden Adventure” I can’t tell the chaos we lived because of this company. We had no sooner prepared our backpacks for hiking than we received a cancelation message from the company. We were in Stavanger only for Pulpit Rock hike.We had purchased our return flights for the later day and they offered us a hike for two days later.I can’t believe.Do they think that all the customers of them are living in Stavanger.Since they offer hotel pick up they must know those customers are out of either Stavanger or mostly of Norway. A professional and reliable company doesn’t send a last minute message unless due to weather conditions. If you need a minimum number of participants you shouldn’t wait untill last minute regarding your customers which need enough time to make a new plan or get through with it.This is disrespectful. After that moment we couldn’t find any other company.Second option was to go on our own.We had to make a new plan, investigated the route and how to go there by bus from Stavanger. It was 2:00 AM when we went to sleep. On this company’s web site that is written: “It can be daunting as a visitor to navigate to Norway’s Pulpit Rock, so enjoy a stress-free adventure by going on a guided hike.” I warn everybody, please read below: “It can be daunting as a visitor if you book a tour via this company”

Pulpit Rock hike with Lysefjord Adventures
We had a great time with Maurius on the Pulpit Rock hike! He took care of our individual needs and was flexible, friendly and fluent in English. The hike is moderately strenuous but has amazing views along the way. Of course pulpit rock itself is awe inspiring and well worth the hike!

          Highlight of visit to area!!
Fantastic area through lush forests on stone trail, lots of steps & well maintained trail. Sean our guide did a terrific job managing the two paces within the group & looked out for each hiker. He pointed out wild plants & entertained us as he described the local area with stories & his own adventures. Amazing views along the way, truly a spectacular way to see the region. Thanks Sean for a tremendous day!

          Amazing sunrise hike
Had an amazing sunrise hike with Shaun. Picked up promptly at 1am and due to confusion ended up being the only person on the tour. We started our climb in the dark and reached Pulpit Rock by 4am for breathtaking views. Shaun was entertaining and engaging: a pleasure to spend 5hours with! I am so glad I took this tour, not only was it me and the guide we didn’t encounter another person until we reached the top! Made it back down for 5:30am and was back in bed by 6:30! Wont forget this trip in a hurry. Thanks Shaun!

          Amazing
Amazing hike. Unfortunately, the view from the top of Preikestolen was a little bit (absolutely) foggy, so it was impossible to see the Lysefjord from that side. Anyway, even foggy, rainy and cloudy, the day was beautiful, and it was possible to enjoy a very calm hike! Nice tour, the guide was very nice too, and the views on the way are extremely pretty. Even foggy, it is possible to take some funny pictures at Preikestolen. Nothing to complain about, very calm and nice hike, 5 starts tour!

          Hike to the Top
The hike was challenging for this 70 year old, fairly in/shape male. Periodic rain made the rock path quite slippery. We started at 8 and were ahead the the later arriving hikers. Fantastic feeling of accomplishment to reach the top! Photo opps were incredible.

          Disappointed
In the description on the booking.com they stated there will short boat trip and after this hike to the Preikestolen . In reality the guy just picked us up with their private bus and we went to the base camp . We payed for boat trip and hike but got the hike only . My advice - if you want save some money don’t go with them - just by tickets and go with regular bus - they going to the base camp every day from Stavanger .We asked our guide - what about boat trip? - he said wow I hear this for the first time ! I need to ask my boss ( he never did ) . By the way the hike was great but little bit disappointed about the boat trip to the fjord( never happened) . ( I have screenshots of the description - for the case if they change or delete it ).

          Breath taking Views
Wonderful visit, completed this with my partner and was guided by the fantastic Benedicta. She was great with guiding us to the top and gave us great information about lsyefjord The word breathtaking is often thrown about very loosely but it was definitely accurate for the views at the top It was great value for money and I would definitely recommended anyone who is able to do it

My favorite was getting on top of the rock! I truly enjoyed the hike. Our tour guide was excellent and had to deal with unqualified people who got on the hike with very little experience, ended up dropping off the hike early on. Then we had couple (lady) say this was her 2nd hike! Her 1st was day before to priest’s pulpit. They ended up turning around due to they couldn’t keep up and we had to keep going due to pending rain or turned around early. Drive there 2 1/2 hrs was beautiful. Couldn’t take any pictures due to tinted windows.

I had a great experience. The hike wasn't easy, but the company and the view on the top was so worth it. In a group, everyone has a different pace but our guide did a good job in both keeping a steady pace and waiting for us to rest and catch up. The pictures she took were amazing!
I highly recommend this to anyone hiking to Kjeragbolten for the first time, and especially to solo travelers.

Taking the tour was by far the most challenging experience for me. It is a beautiful place and if I had the opportunity I would do it again, but maybe with another guide.

Although she is a very nice young woman, Rebekka, my guide picked me up almost an hour later, she mentioned that that day she was doing the walk that had taken her the longest and it was another teammate who supported me on the descent and not her. There were also two times that I fell on the way up and no one from my group was around, another tourist was the one who helped me.

It seems to me that he is very young and must learn that not all of us have the opportunity to go hiking constantly, much less to go to Norway, and that is why we do not want to miss out on the opportunity to do a lake as wonderful as hiking like this.

In all groups (as in mine) there will always be people who are used to doing this type of tour and there will be those of us who find it more difficult, but it is in bad taste that your guide complains to you about it or that instead of caring of those of us who have less experience, try to be all the time with the experienced people, whose trail was lost on several occasions on the horizon.

The tour is well organised. Our guide pick up us on time and drove safely for 2.5 hrs along the nice mountain road to the Kjerag hike. Thanks for the great experience!!! Anneliese is a wonderful guide. Some of the trails are steep and challenging but our guide was knowledgeable and know all the best routes. She also ensured we had enough breaks throughout the hike. As the hike is done with a small group, we did it at a nice pace, during the breaks is good to look around the stunning view. Before we reach the top she also reminds us not too close to the edge of the cliff to take photos (the front view of kjerag boulder still have snow) for safety reason. Getting to the top the view is spectacular, she took us to other nice spots for lunch letting us avoid the strong winds at the same time still had the great fjords view with us. A great day and great people in the mix. Highly recommend!!!

This was an amazing experience! The tour guide (Rebecca) arrived punctually and drove us all safely to the start of the trail. I found the hike challenging - I have a fear of heights - but Rebecca was absolutely brilliant, always staying with me, encouraging me and showing me easier routes to take / where to place my feet. I would not have managed this hike alone. She also took some great photos and showed us some different viewpoints where we had lunch. 100% recommend!

The guide Toa was really helpful for people from young to old. He even made good decisions; 1. let a lady give up in the first stage who were not prepared at all for the tough hike, 2. made it through successfully to the end for the other people in bad weather condition.

I was considering doing the hike alone but at the end of this hike I was glad I didn't - this hike is HARD. Our guide was really knowledgeable and made sure that nobody in the group would be left behind. As we did it during a heatwave he ensured we had enough breaks throughout the hike. Also the best part - as the hike is done with a small group there's no rush to catch the bus back, so you actually have time to enjoy it.

We had a really amazing time, it was our dream to come to kjeragbolten but we were super afraid of how hard the hike would be. Not only was the guide very supportive (especially during difficult weather), but we managed to do the trip in a very short amount of time! Not to mention the pleasant company, amazing photos, and fun hike. Really the gem of our whole trip. The guide was also incredible and kind.

This was my first tour of this kind and it was a bit challenging but I liked it. A very important point was a good weather that enabled climbing on the dry surface. The views were amazing. An interesting route that is demanding and rewarding.

A tip for future tourists : you need to be ready for physical workout and right shoes is a big part of success. They help to climb and to hold. And take water with you.

I had a really amazing day: beautiful weather, funny hiking friends and an amazing and very professional guide.
He is very friendly, and gave us good information about the walk, its difficulties and he showed us some spots we would never have seen by doing the walk on our own.
        I highly recommend this hike.
