About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- gottatravelmore0 contributionsIggy is a wonderful tour guideIn mid September, my wife and I traveled to Norway and had the pleasure of having Iggy as our tour guide for three days when we were based in Alesund . He was an amazing guide. We designed our tours based on itineraries on his website, and especially on the amazing day when we went to Geiranger, we visited places that had few or no tourists. Iggy was highly organized, very reliable and took great care of us. We learned a lot about what we were seeing, which greatly enhanced our experience. Iggy also communicated his spiritual appreciation of the natural beauty around us, which we shared and which made the experience all the more powerful. Moreover, being with Iggy was a lot of fun due to his wonderful sense of humor. He is also very insightful. We have no hesitation in giving Iggy our highest recommendation.Written October 21, 2024

- GoPlaces583299545670 contributionsSuper tour guide and companyMy family spent two full days with Iggy, who was an intestine tour guide. He showed us areas that we would have never come across researching online. We travel often and Iggy is one of the best tour guides. We highly recommend Iggy’s excellent tours.Written August 14, 2024
- ACJI970 contributionsThe best in AlesundWe arrived on the Prima NCL cruise and the tour guide took us to all the places we had chosen. He was punctual, and very kind guy, and gave us time to grab a quick bite to eat and he brought us to see the town of Alesund. 100% recommended.Written August 11, 2024
- 493desirees0 contributionsHighly recommended & worth while!Iggy provided us with a full day (about 11 hours) trip as advertised. He was professional, informative, keen to answer all our questions, attentive & considerate. The route had to be adjusted due to road closures as a result of inclement weather the night before - with his experience & professionalism he handled these last minute, unforeseen seen changes with no problem. Our visit to Ålesund & surrounds is only enriched thanks to his tour.Written July 8, 2024
- Susiiequesie0 contributionsFabulous day tripIggy was phenomenal. He escorted us from our hotel in Alesund via local roads through small villages and 3 small local ferries. To Geiranger and all over that area including Dalsnibba viewpoint and eagle road. He was interweaving to be with, knew all the small places and viewpoints, simply an outstanding day in the Norway fjord area. 12 hours passed so quickly. I would use him again in a heartbeat.Written June 3, 2024

- fudd190 contributionswonderful experienceGreat guide, Margita. Lots of beautiful places and food. Very informative and friendly We went to see waterfalls and canyons. Plenty of Trolls :) Stopped for lunch at great little bakery and sat at the merger of 3 fjords outside at a picnic table.Written August 18, 2023
- lil2260 contributionsFun trip to TrollstigenOur family of 4 took this private tour with Iggy. He was the best guide on our 8-port cruise excursions. He talked about his upbringing in Lithuania and the Norwegian culture and the area. Very interesting! He hit all the highlights of the area and a few other less crowded spots. We highly recommend this tour with the calm giant!Written June 19, 2023
- johntK931YU0 contributionsBest tour guide we ever had!We had originally hoped to take the ferry from Ålesund to Geiranger, but it was not available during our visit to Norway. We looked at taking a short fjord cruise out of Ålesund, but it did not go very far into the fjord. We could have rented a car, but the price and stress levels would have been high. Luckily we found this guided tour given by Igvars. This was without a doubt the best guided tour we have ever had. We have used a number of other private guides on trips we planned ourselves, but none of the other guides were so thoughtful, enthusiastic and pleasant. Igvars watched over us like a parent, shielded us from crowds, provided snacks and advised us regarding how to see the best sights. I had feared that a driving tour of Geiranger Fjord would only let us see the fjord from on high. Igvars planned a route that involved multiple short ferry rides through the beautiful parts of the fjord. As a result, we saw the fjord from both the water and on high. In short, Geiranger Fjord was the most beautiful fjord we visited in Norway, and Igvar’s tour was the best guided tour we have ever had. My wife and I both felt that this was tour was well worth its price.Written May 19, 2023

- Bansteadfamily0 contributionsFabulous scenery- fun guideWe were part of a group of 3 tour minivans with Iggy's Calm Giant tour. We were very lucky to be on Iggy's van and got loads of info about Iggy, Norway, the Troll road and local customs. Iggy was a fun guide. We were met promptly at the port and returned fairly close to all aboard time having also visited the viewpoint over Alesunde! The scenery along the road and at all the stops was breathtaking and so well worth the trip. Iggy provided delicious local pancakes and coffee at one of the stops. The idea of a mini BBQ lunch with all the vans at another stop was good in the concept but unfortunately the 2 requested vegetarian snacks had been forgotten which left 2 of our party eating bread and strawberries. Always make sure to ask to be on Iggy's tour. By the way Iggy- the back of that van is only really meant for 3 people not 4!Written June 26, 2022
