Alusand (ugh) 5star amazing calming undisturbed beautiful old country. 2 adults 2 teenagers 1 Toddler Then this dude “iggy” he’s really just a squirrel but sometimes uses his 6’5” stature for rules. He made Alusand unforgettable and maybe our best 6 hours (in a row) ever. Cheers you calm giant from fort myers and hope to chat again

Iggy provided us with a full day (about 11 hours) trip as advertised. He was professional, informative, keen to answer all our questions, attentive & considerate. The route had to be adjusted due to road closures as a result of inclement weather the night before - with his experience & professionalism he handled these last minute, unforeseen seen changes with no problem. Our visit to Ålesund & surrounds is only enriched thanks to his tour.

Iggy was phenomenal. He escorted us from our hotel in Alesund via local roads through small villages and 3 small local ferries. To Geiranger and all over that area including Dalsnibba viewpoint and eagle road. He was interweaving to be with, knew all the small places and viewpoints, simply an outstanding day in the Norway fjord area. 12 hours passed so quickly. I would use him again in a heartbeat.

My family enjoyed this day so much with Margita. She was down to earth, easy to talk to, and took us to the most beautiful places. It was an amazing time and we appreciate Margita for taking care of us all day!

We had originally hoped to take the ferry from Ålesund to Geiranger, but it was not available during our visit to Norway. We looked at taking a short fjord cruise out of Ålesund, but it did not go very far into the fjord. We could have rented a car, but the price and stress levels would have been high. Luckily we found this guided tour given by Igvars. This was without a doubt the best guided tour we have ever had. We have used a number of other private guides on trips we planned ourselves, but none of the other guides were so thoughtful, enthusiastic and pleasant. Igvars watched over us like a parent, shielded us from crowds, provided snacks and advised us regarding how to see the best sights. I had feared that a driving tour of Geiranger Fjord would only let us see the fjord from on high. Igvars planned a route that involved multiple short ferry rides through the beautiful parts of the fjord. As a result, we saw the fjord from both the water and on high. In short, Geiranger Fjord was the most beautiful fjord we visited in Norway, and Igvar’s tour was the best guided tour we have ever had. My wife and I both felt that this was tour was well worth its price.

We loved our tour to Geiranger! Margita was a wonderful guide! She shared history and tidbits of information throughout the day and made the trip fun and memorable for our family. Thank you for the best part of our trip!

We were part of a group of 3 tour minivans with Iggy's Calm Giant tour. We were very lucky to be on Iggy's van and got loads of info about Iggy, Norway, the Troll road and local customs. Iggy was a fun guide. We were met promptly at the port and returned fairly close to all aboard time having also visited the viewpoint over Alesunde! The scenery along the road and at all the stops was breathtaking and so well worth the trip. Iggy provided delicious local pancakes and coffee at one of the stops. The idea of a mini BBQ lunch with all the vans at another stop was good in the concept but unfortunately the 2 requested vegetarian snacks had been forgotten which left 2 of our party eating bread and strawberries. Always make sure to ask to be on Iggy's tour. By the way Iggy- the back of that van is only really meant for 3 people not 4!

Igvars is a great guy ! its service Starts, waiting for us at the airport, to introduce us to the city and the driver Renars, who was fantastic! all the time showing us great places, the communication with them was clear and they took us everyplace we asked before and giving us the time to take pictures and walk around so it makes our trip the most Beatiful experience. thank you so much! 100% recomend. He took us to the airport next day for the same price and it’s place is very well located and comfortable.

Took this tour while on cruise. Roads had turned snowy and the Troll road was closed off. We went as far as we could then our guide took us a different way and we saw a lot of Viking things not on the tour. She did her best to make up for weather disappointment t. Enjoyable day and tour.

My husband and I went with Igvar on his Trollstigen tour. This has been the highlight of our trip so far. A fantastic way to get to see Norway's beautiful countryside,fjords, waterfalls and mountains. Igvar was such an entertaining, friendly + informative tour guide. We were never rushed - always told to take our time and he supplied delicious snacks to be had in the most incredible picnic spots. Thank you so much Igvar for such a memorable experience.

Let me down and other friends who also booked the same tours. Gave me short notice if cancelling, very very disappointing as sought reassurance regularly and I was told everything is fine. Appears to overbook, and then cancel. Very poor service. I booked many private tours on a cruise, all were brilliant all went to time, bar this one!

I booked tour with this company Mr Ivagar It was wonderful tours ,in fjords He took me deep inside the places and I enjoyed scenery a lot we visited Gereigner fjords Also nice picnic lunch was arranged It was wonderful experience If you want to visit Fjords area from Alesund I highly recommend this company and Mr Ivagar

It's not an easy thing to organize your time if it is the 1st visit to a completely unknown, huge country like Norway , especially if you travel alone and have very limited time! With the help of Calm Giants I made the best out of my 2.5 days in Alesund. Booking and planning went smoothly; Igvars was answering my emails very quickly, sometimes within minutes. Renars met me at Vigra airport, and after 3 hour drive through Alesund and nearby islands, brought me to the hotel. Later in the day his wife, Margita, took me to Sunnmore open air museum . Next day we went to Trollstigen and Atlantic road, again with Margita, but, unfortunately, weather was absolutely disastrous. Third day we had a 12 hour drive with Renars through Oye, Hellesylt, Norangsdal, Loen cable car , Dalsnibba and Geirangher. Nothing was too much trouble for them! Stopping at every corner so I can take my pictures , changing plans because of weather and other reasons, even supplying me with a waterproof outdoor jacket and boots! Of course, it may seem quite expensive, but we are talking about full day private tour in Norway. And they deliver for the price, and even more! Can't recommend them highly enough!
