About the operator

- Perrine V0 contributionsReally great for hidden gemsThis was a great self guided tour with audio and map. You go through side streets and learn interesting facts. You go places that aren't tourist central. The audio also has vague directions, otherwise you get a map with directions, like google maps. There's multiple places you can stop at. With stopping and visiting 2 museums we took 3 hours. The app is good as well. You can download the tour to have offline. There's more tours on the app as well.Written June 18, 2024
- GRK25330 contributionsVery pretty, a real charmerHad a couple of days in Bergen prior to a cruiser and than a couple of days after the cruise.. Loved just walking around, plenty of little 'hideaways', just take a walk up the sidestreets or laneways. Need to hop on the Finicula for a great view of the city, not expensive and the view is spectacular, especially at night for photographers. The wharf and Bryggen is also first-rate. Yes, I'd go back again.Written November 1, 2022
- E3625TWkellyb0 contributionsJust OKI love audio tours. This one did a good job with GPS and telling you where to go. Clear directions are important. If the story were true, it would have made it better. Also, it didn't really point out many landmarks. Just walking and listening to a story. It is very inexpensive though so if you want a little entertainment and a walk, it's fine.Written July 2, 2022
- VJoana0 contributionsNice personal stroy about a woman but not many details about the cityAt the beginning of the tour, you get some interesting facts about Bergen in the late 16th century, about the live as a women and the trading. The tour starts at the Rosenkranztower and you walk to Bryggen. Then the story becomes more and more about the witch itself and how she feels. And one point we stopped the tour because we had the feeling that we would not get any new facts from it. We heard the rest at home and indeed, everything we missed (the whole part at Nordnes peninsular) was mostly her describing her walk to her execution. I would recommend to walk the tour since it covers the most important buildings of Bergen, but take your information out a travelguide or from the internet to also get some information about more recent buildings etc.Written January 5, 2020
- Jane P0 contributionsHappy TravelerThis Audio Tour was an experience to last a lifetime as it provided a unique opportunity to really connect with Bergen's fascinating history and experience a walk to remember. The audio tour vividly recounted a scenario from the past that emotionally engaged the listener as well as physically engaging with the local surroundings. A truly magical experience! !!Written August 11, 2019

I had a great time with this tour! I did it in the morning, so the city wasn't too crowded, and I enjoyed getting a sense of the central area of Bergen. The app worked great for me, even though I didn't have data, as I downloaded everything beforehand. I liked that it was basically handsfree, so I could just walk and enjoy. A few times I got a bit off track, but that was mostly my fault because I was bad at following directions. I was always able to get back to the tour easily. I liked the history and anecdotes that were included, especially the descriptions of various statues. It took me about an hour and a half, but I took my time with it. Great experience!

We had just returned from north coast cruise around 3:30 pm. Had one nite before flying out at 6am. This was a perfect way to walk and feel Bergen. It gave us flexibility and was such a great value. Stopped at cute coffee shop. Checked out the old library while it was raining and stopped for wonderful dinner. All was along the tour path. We just paused audio then restarted. Got late so didnt quite do it all but thoroughly enjoyed what we saw and heard even though it got dark. He gave great information as we stopped at statues, plazas, fountains and buildings. I will look for these again when in other cities. One small thing. We wanted to start tour at different spot that would work better for our hotel. May have been possible but we couldnt easily figure it out. We ended up just going to his start point.

Quite a nice idea to wrap the walk up into statues and their stories, though we would love to learn more about some personalities, because not all descriptions give details about their life, work and importance. Should you want more about the history of Bergen and its hanseatic past, you need a different walk.
The walk is esy to follow, understandable and I appreciated the variety of comments. Great idea to explain some parts while walking.

This is a great option if you’re interested in the architecture and sculptures of the city with some history thrown in. You can take it at your own pace and stop or divert whenever you like. No need to keep up with the leader’s pace..

Wonderful city to start our Hurtigruten AstonomyVoyage...got to spend 1.5 days on-our-own before boarding M/S Kong Harald. Did our homework from home. Pre-purchased our Mt. Floren funicular rickets Erich expedited boarding the 'car.' Remarkable panoramic views of Bergen and its surrounds. Back below we we so impressed with Bryggen, the original Hanseatic merchant area, and a UNESCO HERITAGE site.

The tour was informative and entertaining. Smart idea to talk about Bergen and Norwegian history through the description of the statues in the city centre.
First time I've used a narrated self guided tour.. great experience! It allows you to take it at your own pace.
well worth the cost! Highly recommended

Very interesting facts about Bergen, and easy to follow audio guide. We had no difficulty finding each one of the monuments/landmarks, and each one of them had a clear description with some fun facts. It’s good to walk in a city and feel like you know a thing or two about its history.

We stayed close to the Bergen harbour and enjoyed the daily walks around the area. A major turn-off was Bergenites’ stubbornness in not accepting cash and for poor service delivery in general. Ae spent three days in Bergen which ended up being too long. The ferry trip to Flåm was spectacular!

Super nice tour with many interesting details and anecdotes. The guide had a very comfortable voice, and I loved the fact that I almost didn't need to look at my phone - I was told in which direction to go, and the app automatically detected when I was at the right place for the next presentation. Such a lovely way to get a quick first impression of a new city. On top of this, I was very lucky with the weather and got some great photos of beautiful Bergen along the way.

Great walking city, we did some guided audio tours and they were great. Gos keeps you on the path and talks about places as you approach. We shared our earbuds so each had one to make sure our timing was on and it worked great
