Cancelled tour - NO REFUND ISSUED
No refunds was provided for a cancelled tour although the email cancellation clearly stated a refund would be issued to my credit card. I contacted the vendor with no reply, still waiting for reply to emails.

Cancelled tour - NO REFUND ISSUED
I booked this tour from Glacier Tour (glaciertour.no) which was cancelled on September 27 due to "unforeseen technical problems with the boat". We received the email of the cancelation where it clearly stated that a full refund will be provided. No refund has been applied to my credit card. The tour notification was September 23 for a tour on September 27. I email Glacier Tour via the email above and received no response. As of October 12, no refund has been issued.

Well worth it for gorgeous views
This was a really excellent tour in every respect and we would recommend it to others. The boat was comfortable and the entire crew was friendly and professional. Above all, this is a great way to experience the magnificent scenery of the Fjærlandfjord and the glacier.

The weather didn’t keep us from enjoying this tour! Breathtaking!
Despite the very rainy day (our third in a row since entering Norway!), this tour was very fun and we enjoyed every moment

A great day out (despite the rain)
An excellent day out. The bus was comfortable and the cruise was smooth sailing with great guides for both. I didn’t start the day expecting to have to wait for sheep and cows to get cross the road!

Once in a lifetime trip to the Fjords.
The trip stopped and showed highlights along the road and Fjord. The operators were friendly and very well I formed. The entire trip ran on time and everyone was well taken care of.

      Unsatisfied
First, the bus was 15 minutes late and not suitable for long distances ( the chairs are small & not clean). Second, the tour guide volume was too low. We told the driver that we couldn’t hear anything and he did not resolve the issue. He was holding the mic in one hand while driving with the other, which is against safety. This is the first time we have encountered a driver who is also the tour guide. This work is usually divided among two people. We did not learn any information about the areas we passed by.

      Overall good trip
The trip was great, there was bus part and boat part. But it was a rainy day, so we had to stay inside the boat, but still had great views and history. The boat stoped about midway to pick up more passengers, so it became crazy crowded and uncomfortable...I think it was overbooked..The bus part was great and we saw interesting places..

      Great tour/ditch the museum
Amazing views. It was raining the whole time we were in Bergen but it was still very much worth it They take you pretty far so the bus/boat/bus ride is a little long but the views are amazing on the way and there is no other way to really get there other than that NOTE TO THE TOUR OPERATOR: Ditch the glacier museum for an hour. Would have much rather spend time at the glacier and the Viking church then a hallway with a couple of exhibitions.

      Beautiful!
Overall this was a fun experience that I recommend. The scenery is beautiful, the glacier is spectacular and not to be missed! The Stave Church is so interesting! A couple of things with the timing could be improved to make this a 5 star experience. Our guide didn’t know that a tour of the Stave Church was included and he had us standing outside the gate trying to take photos. Luckily the gate guy knew and told him. But boy were we rushed! The tour guy had to fly through his info and as soon as he was done we were rushed back outside. Not the 30 minute tour it said it was, more like 10 minutes. Then the glacier museum was way too much time but we were rushed at the actual glacier! The museum is pretty bad, a couple of mannequins and a weird plastic glacier cave with a dead arm in it. Random and funny, but not 1.5 hours worth. Everyone got bored and sat around waiting to leave. But then we were super rushed at the actual glacier! Only about 30 minutes there and after you walked down, took photos and walked back that was all your time. The glacier is the whole point! There were also these amazingly huge waterfalls that we either didn’t stop at or were super rushed through. You can’t take photos from the bus windows because of the rain. It’s a long trip, getting some stops to see more and getting more time at the highlighted places would have made it great. Feeling rushed at them wasn’t ideal. Our guides had thick accents and were hard to understand at times, and they did ready from scripts, but overall it was a good time.

      Very good tour
Everything was very well organized. Although there were many stops and many people involved, everything went smooth, from the pickup to boat and bus transfers. All the crew was really nice. The views were amazing and the Glacier Museum was a pleasant surprise. The only thing to be improved is the boat: it runs on Diesel so there was a quite strong smell of exhaust gases both on the exterior and on the interiors the boat.

Nice cruise in a non-electric boat from Vik to Balestrand-Fjærland. Visit museum and Bøyabreen viewpoint
Nice cruise. It started in Vik and stopped in Balestrand and Fjærland, where we visited the museum (1 hour with a 20 mins video, maybe too much) and the Bøyabreen viewpoint (really nice, 15 mins). Natalia, the guide, was really helpful and nice. The negative aspect was that the boat was not electric and the smell of the fuel was very intense in most of the trip, and there was no free time in Fjærland to visit the famous bookshops and explore the village. It rained when we did the cruise and most of the time we were inside, the windows could be bigger but it was OK and there were some options to eat and drink (also Natalia there, very nice too)

      Great tour
Great way to see a fjord and glacier up close. They also had blankets and took a Polaroid picture for us! They had sandwich, waffles, and snacks for purchase on the boat. Views were wonderful. The glacier museum was really cool; the climate exhibition was fun, and the show was an extreme wide screen and gave an up-close view of the glacier. The glacier itself - you get right under it, and you can take your shoes/socks off and go into the freezing water! Sonny and Natalie were great guides! They made sure you were having a great time. :)

The title of this excursion was very misleading. There is no fjord cruise from Bergen. You drive for three hours. We had just come from Orland the day before, so driving back on that road was very disappointing for us. One nice surprise is going up into the hills in the mountains where the train was completely different. And then coming down into of your town. We spent very little time on the water because we did the cidery tour. But no one was there to meet us to take us to the cidery and the directions were never clear. So we wandered around for about 45 minutes until we found it. At the cidery, the owner was friendly and funny with his presentation. However we were really hungry and we didn’t get food until almost 230. The boat left us in this town where there was nothing to do. Until they picked us up again at 4:30. Took a short boat ride back and then drove all the way back. Getting back to town around 8 PM.

Dear 360tam?? The company has 6 different tours from Bergen. The tour "Explore Sognefjord" is by boat from BERGEN. It looks like you have read tour descriptions for this tour and booked another. Regards

A fun time but a very long day. The ride there is gorgeous and there is a bathroom stop at the waterfall (also a small snack/souvenir shop there). Then we make it to the village with the old church which was super cool to see. The boat ride to Balestrand was about 30 minutes. We were the only ones from this group doing the cider tour and that part (once we got to Balestrand) wasn’t guided but it’s a super small town (~800 people) and they gave us the directions in Google maps and the boats number before leaving. Not sure if it’s usually more guided if more people are doing that instead of the glacier tour but it really was fine without one. The cider tour portion was fun and lunch was pretty good too (it was a cheese roll thing, prosciutto and Mayo, beet hummus, a breaded vegetable ball—almost like a hush puppy, and custard with strawberries). Lunch was after the tour portion which was about an hour long. It was a bit of an uphill walk to the ciderhouse itself. Then we did have a bit too much time in the town since there isn’t a whole lot to do but again, we were a very small tour group so I think the tour and lunch portion went faster than it probably does with more people. You could always bring a book or something while waiting for the boat to pick you back up and there’s plenty of park benches around.

Was really excited to do this tour but ended up pretty underwhelmed.
The “bus” was great in terms of having big picture windows to see the views but seats are really crammed in. So if you’re over 5’ 7 you’ll spend a good 7 hours with your knees jammed against the seat in front or sitting skewed around.
The scenery is really pretty but it takes a long time - 3 hours or so to get up to the fjord. It’s the exact same route back so don’t worry if you miss anything.
The stave church was pretty and the stop is short so that was all good.
Thomas the driving was friendly and VERY chatty. In fact I don’t think he stopped for the first 2 hours. Some of his narrative was interesting. A lot wasn’t!
We were the only people doing the cider tour and everyone else was going to the glacier.
For us, the fjord trip was only around 30 mins and you’re in the really wide part of the fjord so just like sailing on a lake.
What was a little disappointing is that we were dropped off at Balusande, asked if we had google maps and had to just get ourselves to the cider house.
The cider tour was great - the highlight of the trip and definitely worth going. BUT that concluded at 2pm and we were then stuck in Balasunde until 4.45pm which is when the boat comes back from the glacier. There is absolutely nothing else in town apart from a few hotels and a gift shop. Not even a decent coffee shop. If you want to pay hotel prices I assume you could get a coffee in one of those. Do you just sit and wait for almost three hours.
The trip back includes the waterfall which is pretty but you’ve already gone past it once.
Overall pretty underwhelmed by the tour. A super long day 7am until 20.40 with not much in it.

This Cider tour was very nice.
It is a full day tour starting at 07:40 from Bergen port by Tourist Information. Back in Bergen at 20:30, so its a long day.
All day was full of entertainment.
Our guide on the tour was a local and very knowledgeable and did a great job guiding.
The bus out from Bergen is a luxury bus with large windows and fantastic view.

The tour is very well organized with stop at interval about 1 hour, which for me was perfect.

There are a lot of attractions. Especially the Stave Church in Vik was interesting.
The structure, decoration, materials and interior show the fantastic craftmanship Norway had 1000 years ago.

From Vik we had a cruise on the Sognefjord on board the vessel Fjord Lady towards Balestrand.

On arrival Balestrand we first had very good lunch. Fish soup with fresh bread and butter. After lunch was Cider Tasting at the Cider House.
We got a lecture from one of the staff about how Cider was made and we got to taste different Ciders. Needless to say, I purchased a few bottles.

In Balestrand there is time for private activities. My wife and I went for a cultural walk, seeing the English Church as well as Statue of King Bele.

Boat back for return to Bergen picked us up at 16:45.

    Just a fantastic tour.

I was very disappointed with Glacier Tours. We had to exit the tour 2 hours into the 11 hour tour due to my spouse becoming sick in the bus. The company has refused to respond to my emails and phone calls requesting a refund or at least acknowledge we exited the tour in order to turn into our travel insurance.

Dear Scott. We are truly sorry that you had to break off the tour in Voss. This day tour to Balestrand with Cider tasting is a MUST when visiting Norway.
Tour is in a Luxury Mercedes in fantastic surroundings and the attractions are coming constantly.
The tour include cruise on the famous Sognefjord.

The Ciderhuset Winery or Cidery gave us a warm welcome and one of the family members gave a lecture on how Cider is made.
The Cider from this area of Norway is the best.

Glaciertour.no gave us an extreme good day in Norway.

    Thank you.
