We were able to see several Bergen highlights during our tour but were cut a little short on time because their. previous tour ran long and we had an all aboard time to meet. I recommend doing your research ahead to let them know where you want to go so they can tailor your tour to you. I also suggest a 4 hour tour to not feel as rushed. Vlad was very informative and knew Bergen well. He did make the most of our time!

I went on a solo trip to Norway this past June & I found this trip on Viator. This was the most amazing part of my trip. Vlad is one of the kindest, most generous people I have ever met. Being a woman solo on a trip & then taking a private tour, I felt comfortable from the first greeting. He is extremely knowledgeable about the region & it's history & he prepared so many resources for me to look at during the drive to each destination (maps, books, pictures, descriptions), it was very thoughtful & made me feel well cared for. The drive was extremely luxurious in his Tesla & he thought of everything, right down to bringing snacks & his homemade glog & had bottles of water on hand for me. He even played music well fitted to whatever environment we were driving through, very magical & serene. I highly recommend going on any of the tours with Vlad & his wife Jana's company. It was worth every penny & I visited the most beautiful places I could ever imagine with a knowledgeable guide all in one day. Simply put, Vlad is an exceptional tour guide and an even better person - you will be in great hands with him and Jandis. Our group of 7 (4 adults, 3 kids) had a fantastic 4 days with Vlad touring Bergen and surrounding areas, including Flam, Myrdal, Voss, Gudvgagen, Folgifonna Glacier, Fossen Bratte, Stegastein, and many other highlights. We are frequent travelers and I can say without hesitation that Vlad is one of the best tour guides we have come across. He clearly loves what he does and brings a great deal of enthusiasm for his country and for ensuring that his clients have a great experience. Everything started with great communication before the trip - Vlad helped come up with a plan for how to best spend our 4 days (patiently talking us through a variety of options) and then helped arrange for train and ferry tickets in advance. Once we arrived in Bergen, Vlad handled all of the logistics and allowed us to focus on the sights and enjoying ourselves. We traveled around in his very clean and comfortable Mercedes van. While we had plans in advance, Vlad was great about being flexible and making changes real-time as needed to accommodate changes in the weather, "hangry" or tired kids, or any number of circumstances. He also helped us pick routes/approaches that avoided the throngs of cruise ship passengers. Particularly memorable was our drive up to Folgifonna Glacier, where we were the only people anywhere in the vicinity. I could go on and on, but perhaps I'll just close on this thought: if you are planning a trip to Norway, stop all of your research and just email Vlad now and book him for whatever days you're lucky enough to be able to tour with him. We had a great day in Bergen with Vlad and Anna. Our family group was ages 16-86. The process and communication for booking and payment of our tour was easy. Vlad and Anna met us at our hotel and accommodated our luggage easily in the comfortable vans they had arranged. Our day was packed with sightseeing and education on the area's past history and current history with any topic we wanted to ask about into between. Vlad is so enthusiastic and really tries very hard to make each experience perfect. He was also able to help work around the various mobility challenges we had with the older family members. The day really was great.

Our private guide Vlad was absolutely amazing! Very knowledgeable, played us relaxing music in his beautiful Tesla and treated us to nice cookies and Glogg on the Ferry. Trip advisor only allowed 5 stars, but Vlad was 10!

This tour is more than worth your money. Our tour guide, Vlad, was an excellent host. He was energetic and knowledgeable and helpful served us some warm Norwegian drinks which were excellent. The trip itself covers the most important areas in and around Bergen and you see the most beautiful sights. Highly recommend this one.

My husband and I spent several days with Jandis Tours and Vlad gave us an experience of a lifetime!! We went in May when all the trees and flowers (especially the rhododendron) were in bloom and the snow still covered the mountain tops. It was so beautiful everywhere you looked! We toured the King of fjords, Queen of fjords, Folgefonna glacier, a RIB boat to see the highlights of Norway, white water rafting in Voss, a floating sauna in Bergen where we jumped in the frigid water, a few hikes and more. Vlad is so passionate and knowledgeable about Norway. He knows exactly where to go to see the most spectacular views and where all the extra hidden gems are. His main focus was to give us the best experience possible. Whether it was resting when we needed to or going the extra mile, he was accommodating and attentive to our needs. Our vacation would not have been near as fulfilling without booking Jandis Tours with Vlad. I cannot recommend him enough!

In fifteen years of traveling together, this private tour to the Sognefjord region of Western Norway was one of the most memorable and best days my wife and I have ever had on vacation together. Our driver was wonderful. Showed up early for our 3:30am pickup. Pointed out the sights we passed as we drove to the Bergen airport. A+ all the way.

Our tour guide, Mr Vlad is very professional, knowledgeable and attentive. He picked us up from our hotel in a luxurious black Mercedes Benz v class and he specially selected songs for different parts of the tours. He even prepared fruits, cookies and homemade ginger tea for us when we reached Stegastein viewpoint. The mountains, river and Viking village are so beautiful during winter! This is definitely one of the best tours we ever had before. Highly recommended!

If only we could give 6-stars!! Our experience with Jandis Tour Company was exceptional from our very first written inquiry through our goodbyes after 2 magnificent days of touring. Jana was incredibly helpful as we worked via email to plan our tours and how they should be arranged. She offered several options, and was willing to help us as much as needed with planning and purchasing accompanying boat/train portions of our trips. She also looked ahead to cruise ship itineraries to help us understand when areas could be busier. Ultimately, we did a Highlights Tour and a Queen of the Fjords tour. We are so happy we planned extra time in Bergen and did both. While both were AMAZING, they were different experiences and we've noted a few considerations below that might help you decide if you have to choose. (Seriously, though, stay an extra day and see more! when will you be back??) Highlights Tour: experiencing the fjords and landscape from car, boat and train gives this tour a lot of variety and experiencing the Nærøyfjord on a slower, quiet boat was exceptional from our point of view. We were lucky to plan this trip on a Friday when no cruises were in town, so that made it a bit less crowded (it would have certainly been less pleasant for us had the boat/Flamsbana train been packed). This tour had a bit of everything - beautiful waterfalls, varied landscapes (including a breathtaking view from the hotel terrace), great history (via Jana, who was an exceptional guide), and a STUNNING cruise in the fjord. Things to note: for good seats on the Flam train, you need to queue (which means planning to be there at least 30 minutes prior to departure), the boat and train can be crowded (especially if a ship is in town) and you have to weigh the potential to experience the sights with how "private" you want your day and tour to be. For us, the boat trip through the fjord is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that we would absolutely endorse - the scenery changes continuously and the view behind is as stunning as the view ahead. The train was more of a toss up, especially since there are other beautiful waterfalls visible on the road from Flam. Queen Tour: This is really a waterfall/fjord tour. There were several really great waterfalls that we were able to get super close to (and even one we could walk behind). The landscape is even more varied than the Highlights tour and of course, Jana shared tons of great information about specific sights, the general area, and its history. The ferry ride offers a different perspective and a nice chance to get out in the open air to enjoy a view of the area from the water. To really get the most out of this tour, you should be able to do moderate walking uphill (it's a short but moderate exertion hike to/from several waterfalls and the carvings). This tour is also great if you want a bit of time at the end of the day for other activities (like touring around Bergen). We couldn't have been happier with our choice of Jandis. We left feeling like we had just spent two days with a friend that wanted us to see and experience everything they love about this amazing place they live. I'll say again - book the extra day! The house and location are really nice and the staff at the house are very informative. On our tour there was a concert in the small modern auditorium included. The pianist on our trip was very accomplished and the auditorium very pleasing visually and acoustically. Well worth the extra time to enjoy.

Vlad was our guide for the day and he made sure that we thoroughly enjoyed the tour. He went over and above his way and took us to a mountain glacier that was the highlight of our trip. He is very knowlegeable and we highly recommend booking a tour with this company.
