About the operator
- Luciebd00Brilliant family activity for fun and learningA perfect activity for families with teens who want to have fun and adults who want to learn more about the city. Great tour interspersed with scooting through the city. Recommend. Best if you have a few tries on the Voi city scooters before the tour as it takes a little time to get used to the scooters.
- carriebC4964GO00Fun way to see the cityFun tour. Starting point is fairly close to congested pedestrian areas, so as a new scooter driver, you're thrown in to the mix right off the bat. Once we got away from opera area, navigation got easier. Tour was the right length of time and showed us areas we wouldn't have seen on foot
- StorkRN100Canceled on me last-minute and nobody on site!I don’t have phone service when I travel unless I have wifi. I had already left my hotel’s wifi to go to this tour by the time they emailed me to notify me the guide was I’ll and it was canceled. Nobody was on site at the meeting point garage, it was all closed up. Luckily, a worker from the neighboring tour company showed up and called this company for me. I only had the one day in Oslo, so I did get a refund and I did get to book a tour w the other company, so it worked out.
- Mengyan W00Ok experienceRiding the e-scooter was quite fun, but the guide didn’t seem very knowledgeable. We asked a lot of questions, to which some answers were not informative. This experience would have been so much better if the guide had a great way of storytelling and was more knowledgeable.
- sandrasL521EI00City Tour with Beer and Snacks was awesome! Our guide was amazing…we had just the two of us on the tour and couldn’t have had a better time. We highly recommend “ city tour with beer and snacks!”
- suzannen94500WonderfulLovely experience. First time on an E scooter for both myself and my daughter. Great way to see many things if you don’t want to walk too much. Shame I didn’t manage to record either of us on the E scooters
- Texastraveler196500Fun activity to see Oslo!E-scootering was a great way to see the highlights of Oslo. The guide gives time to practice before setting out on the tour. It is very easy to master. Our guide for our private tour was great and very knowledgeable about Oslo. She paced the tour well and was patient, relaxed, and personable. We had a group of seven people ranging in age from 24 to 62. We found that this was the perfect activity that every age in our group LOVED! I strongly recommend signing up for an E-scooter tour with Oslo Way.
- Grovetrotter00Fun way to explore OsloWe wanted to get to see some of the main sites in Oslo but not via the usual walking or bus tours. Having never ridden an e-scooter either we thought this would be fun. We were given our scooters and had time to have a practice before heading off, approx 15 of us, guide at the front and one at the rear to ensure we didn’t lose each other! Tour was fun and the guide had a good knowledge of the sites making the whole experience lots of fun! Definitely would recommend
- tracey28077000A great fun way to see the city.Great introduction to the city - explaining the history of Copenhagen. Our guide also gave us some additional information that we wouldnt have known about had he not told us, and as such off we popped later to go and see Christianholme for ourselves. What a treat that was LOL
- stopbeingpicky00Have Fun Whilst Seeing and Learning a bit about the CityThis was so much fun to do, and a really good way to see more of the city than would have been possible on foot. Our guide was really lovely, and had lots of interesting facts to tell us about the different places we were seeing, and some of Norway's history. I would definitely recommend.
- Woodson W00A great way to see the city in an efficient, personal wayIf you want a thorough yet fast-paced and intimate tour, this is for you! I was a bit apprehensive because I hadn’t ridden a scooter before, but it was super easy, I just followed my 13-year old daughter’s lead lol. Our guide was fantastic, very interactive, and even ran a bit longer than our scheduled time to make sure we got to see everything on the list, but not in a rushed way. THIS TOUR IS A MUST, and now I think we need to buy one of these scooters!
- JaneSJC00Really fun outing! We had a good time on the scooter tour. Oslo is a beautiful city and the scooters were a fun way to get around. Cons: the business location is not well marked so you must allow extra time to find them. Basically housed in an unmarked warehouse alongside the DFDS terminal. Nowhere to sit, no restroom, no shade, while waiting for your tour to start. Sometimes it was necessary to ride close to cars and trucks in the street which did not feel very safe. Also, there were many pedestrians which required one to maneuver the scooter quickly in order not to hit anyone. The tour was noted as two hours, however, it ended in 1.5 hours so I felt like we were cheated out of time that we should’ve had. Still would recommend this tour as it is a fun way to see a few highlights of Oslo.
- Y3899EKkarenb00Recommended tourI really enjoyed both riding the scooters and the commentary from our guide. However - at points in the tour we were crossing busy roads and pavements on our scooters and I felt a bit apprehensive about having to scoot around traffic and pedestrians, while keeping up with the guide and other riders. I was much more relaxed when we were either off- road or on dedicated cycle lanes.
- Barrie M00Awesome experience!!This was a brilliant scooter tour! We had never been on a scooter before but thoroughly enjoy it, katarina was a lovely tour guide very funny and informative, all in all we had a great time! And we would definitely recommend it!!
- Alex N00Amazing!This was so much fun! Our tour guide was the nicest person ever and I enjoyed the bit of history she discussed with us along the route. We were a small group, 6 people. Very pleasant experience and quick way to see multiple different sites in Oslo. Also weather was perfect in June!

Having taken similar tours in 20+ countries, this is was the least fun or interesting. 1st, the guide did not talk much. When he talked, he quickly spoke what seemed he has memorized. During the 1st 2 hours pf the tour, we mostly walked around through rather unimpressive areas of Oslo and had short stops in 3 snack places. The places were not bad, but again, the information was short and shared in a very un-engaging manner. The 3rd stop was where the owner was telling some interesting stories about his food - but we had to wait for 20+ minutes, without the guide even trying to tell us anything. He could have directed us to other shops in the Food Hall, but instead he just stood there.

We were looking forward to this for the alternative culture bit as well as the food! Unfortunately it really didn’t live up to its name for the alternative culture. Our guide was a lovely, intelligent guy, but obviously quite shy and I would say tour guiding is not his natural affinity. He really didn’t tell us much on the culture side at all. The waffles were different and gorgeous, the hot chocolate was welcome, the Norwegian hot dogs were nice plus that interesting cola drink . The cheese & cured meats talk with the owner of the shop was very interesting - could have just done with a seat there tho as was quite a long talk (35 minutes) to be standing there after a long walk

It was a lot of fun! Book this tour if you want to discover the real and tasty side of Oslo. You learn a lot about this multifaceted city whilst enjoying the culinary treasures that the locals enjoy. If you add a quiz into the mix (with prizes) you got yourself the perfect way to spend the day. 10/10 recommend.

We are “foodies.” So, when visiting Oslo for the first time, we wanted to get a feel for the local flavors and culture that makes the city thrive. This tour was exactly what we had hoped for. Our guide, Katerina, was fun, friendly and knowledgeable. We started at this incredible food hall called Mathallen. (I would have been happy to have spent the entire time there, but there were other things to see and eat!)
The tour continued with a lovely walk along the Akerselva where we saw the fish ladder that guides the spawning Salmon up stream. It was a beautiful trail with gushing waterfalls and a Lovelock bridge. It was a fun, informative couple of hours and the food was tasty and festive.
Katerina sprinkled humorous tales of local color throughout which made for great discussions and laughter. We highly recommend this mini-adventure during your visit to Oslo!

Interesting locations and details. The group size of 13 people was too big and many of participants could not hear Patricias talk. The food should be delivered for the group much faster, now we had to wait for long time and Patricias time was spent with carrying portions. It would be nice to start the tour with a drink or small food, shorter distances between stops, smaller portions and more different tasting. The plain coffee from a paper mug was a disappointment and the guide did not know that there is no hot chocolate. the city has coffee roasteries, why not to go to one of them? The last tasting of traditional norwegian food needs more space and chairs. The passion and knowledge of this gentleman with last tasting plate was incredible and it was nice to finish the tour to the Mathallen.

Amazing tour with friendly guides. I have been to Oslo three times and thought that I knew the city, however this tour treated me to a side of Oslo I have never seen experiencing a rich diverse culture in a relaxed environment.
I would strongly recommend this tour to anyone.

Sadly due to other circumstances the tour started almost 30mins late and the group was too big with 20 guests which meant it felt very hurried and disappointing. The tastings were good but it felt like there wasn’t much of the alternative Oslo and the tour guide was often talking to only half the group because of the size of the party. Nice guide and some of it wasn’t her fault. Also the meeting point instructions aren’t clear at all given the food hall has multiple entrances, overall probably worth trying if smaller group

We really liked that this tour showed us a difft side of Oslo that you normally don't see. We definitely had plenty to eat and left full. I felt like the guide was a little soft spoken and was difficult to hear her. We do a lot of food tours and this is worthwhile if you have extra time in your schedule.

The perfect tour for any foodies! If you like tasting your way through a new city, this is the perfect tour for you! The food tastings offered during this tour are delicious and authentic. Our guide, Ivana, was amazing and this was actually our second tour of the day with her! We were so happy to be able to spend a few more hours in her company continuing to learn about the city. The portions on this food tour are also huge!! I was not expecting to get an entire hot dog and waffle to my self but was pleasantly surprised (and also stuffed by the end of the tour!). Cannot recommend this tour enough. OsloWay and Ivana are awesome tour guides!!

Our OsloWay Street Food tour in early June was disappointing. Our guide was informative and explained many interesting cultural aspects of Oslo and the food we were tasting. That part of the tour was excellent. We have chosen food tours all over Europe and have never left one feeling hungry. Sadly, that was not the case in Oslo. Not only did we not eat much, we walked and walked and walked a lot. This would have been fine had we been able to stop, be seated, have water to drink, and a toilet facility available. That was not the case. To be fair, the information about the tour said to expect a waffle, hot dog, Cocoa, soft drink, and a tasting plate (Norwegian cheeses and cured meat). And we got exactly that and nothing more, with long walks.

What time does this tour start? Our ship sails at 6:00 pm. Is the meeting place near the port?

Is there public transportation close to where the tour begins? What is the approximate amount of walking on this tour?
Davey R
London, UK98 contributions
There are a couple of trams and bus routes that get you close so if you use the Ruter app and plan your journey, they should be able to get you pretty close. In terms of walking, I'd say it's a couple miles total but spread out nicely over the 2.5-3hours of the tour. You'll stop frequently and the pace is fairly slow.
Available every day?
