    The best city tour
All you want to know about Oslo. This was probably the best city tour I have ever had. The guide was very knowledgeable and nice - she answered all my questions and made the experience unique and tailored to my interests. I particularly enjoyed walking with her through the central Oslo and feeling like a local. But all the tour was great and I highly recommend it.

    Worst tour ever
I have traveled a lot though Europe. I have hired many tour guides. This was something so terrible I can't even describe. We had a woman who I don't even think knows the history of Norway. She made strange remarks like that's not important about statues we would ask about. Would walk away for 5 minutes.

    Terrible guide. Terrible attitude.
The guide was very negative about Oslo, the opera house. When we asked to stop and see things, she told us to come back later. We left the tour early due to her attitude and our frustration. It was a private tour for just the two of us. I will be asking for a refund.

    Terrible experience
The tour guide wasn’t able to walk fast or speak loud - didn’t have a microphone either…( only whoever was beside her could hear what she was saying) . She offered the tour knowing the date 3 months in advance offering museums entrances and the museums were closed. She didn’t want to stop to take pictures when we wanted a few minutes. She was not in a good mood. Don’t ever book this tour. We had a terrible time!!

Rushed but we saw a lot
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable but rushed since she booked another tour right after ours. I think ours was suppose to be 4 hours but it was given in 3. It's ok since there was a lot to see.

    Very Informative!
This was a great way to get a quick but thorough overview of Oslo. It really opened our eyes to all that the city has to offer! The information was truly helpful. One important thing to know - Oslo has many things closed on Sunday.

    Colorado Springs' hidden gem.
The national WWII Aviation museum in Colorado Springs is a hidden gem. It was a 2 hour guided tour of aircraft and memorabilia. The tour guide, Ray, was very knowledgeable and had an excellent sense of humor. Will be going back and will bring some friends along as well.

Being of Norwegian heritage I was excited to find a tour that focused on the foods of Norway. Little did I know that Tonya our guide was take us to such fun, out of the way places.
The tour began with tasting at a wonderful Norwegian grocery store where we tasted fish, pork, lamb, cheese and lingonberries. We also learned about the meat salting process. This was followed by a lovely walk, with Tonya explaining the wonderful sites of Oslo along the way. Our next stop an electric coffee shop where we had shrimp on toast, amazing. When she found out I made lease she had one of the employees show me how they made lease in their shop. Again an area we would.not found without the guidance of Tonya. Our next stop was at Salmon where we were educated on the salmon production in Norway, followed by salmon tasting, best I have ever had. We next took a walk around the Marina again to an area we would have never found on our own. The tour ended with some amazing Norwegian Ice Cream. I can honestly say this is one of the best Trip Advisor Tours I have ever taken. If you get the opportunity, book this tour, it is not to be missed.

We had one of the best food tours for a long time. Our Tour Guide took us to a chocolate shop, fish restaurant, historical restaurant and a Norwegian market. We had tasted fish, meats, cheeses, bread, lefse etc. to try. We learnt a lot of local customs and eating habits. Our Guide was wonderful, funny, insightful, knowledgeable guide/storyteller, who made the entire experience even more fun. I would definitely recommend this tour for anyone interested in food and culture. Thank you, Tanya Lisa!

We got a great tour in Oslo city with 3 different tastings experiances of Norway. Even with limited posibilites of resturants and coffee shops that offer the option of smaller taste samples in Oslo. For us this was a perfect Food Tour able to see Centrum, inspiration of other places to come back to enjoy a full meal. The balance of walking and tastings was perfect to enjoy. The 4 hours passing quick as Tania Lisa even had more to show us. But we enjoyed our last tasting and stayed as a good ending of our tour with plans of a concert right after.

With good service, possible to buy extra sample from one of the coffe shops could have been done if we wanted to taste some extra or as we liked for the last tasting some Wine. All the other planed tastings Tania Lisa took care of the bill as we had orderd a tour with tasting.

Tanks to Tania Lisa our Romantic first Oslo visit with focus on Scandinavian food have been perfect left with a good memory, unique and a life experiance.

There is nothing I love more than a good food tour. I believe you can learn so much about a place and its culture through the cuisine, which is why I love booking a food tour whenever I’m in a new country. And my most recent trip to Oslo was no different. Food can tell you so much about the culture of a place. The tour was very informative and we  had a chance to taste traditional and special Norwegian food, such as fish soup, lefse, different types of smoked salmon, cured ham and gomme for dessert etc. in cosy locations of Oslo. We loved our tour Guide, she conducted our tour very professionally. We had fun enjoying samples of local food. We are happy to recommend this tour to other travellers.

Tanya Lisa showed us all the important landmarks, explained to us the lay of the land, and introduced us to the Salmon industry. We tasted elk, whale, reindeer, and aged brown cheese, among other things. She also introduced us to the supermarket offerings, and took us to an international food market. Well worth the cost, she gave us a historical and cultural context, which is so appreciated.

Tanya is a great ambassador for her city! She gave us insight into Olso and how the locals live as well as information about the food culture. Highlights included learning about the salmon farming industry in Norway and especially a local deli featuring indigenous foods. It was a great way to spend the day.

We have enjoyed many food tours throughout Europe where the cost of the food was included in the tour price. In fact, we just thoroughly enjoyed a food tour in Bergen during which we had fish cakes, waffles with brown cheese, smoked lamb soup with bread, local beer and more, all included in the price of the tour.
So you can imagine our shock and disappointment to learn, that when declined the tour option to taste reindeer meat, whale, etc., we were declining ALL food tasting on what is promoted as a tour with a “Focus on the Scandinavian Kitchen”. As a consequence, or tour guide, who was very knowledgeable about Norway and Oslo, and whom we would recommend, made absolutely no arrangements for us to sample any food whatsoever.
So in summary, we did not get what we think we paid for, the tour is seriously falsely promoted, and we absolutely cannot recommend it.

My food tour offers an exclusive tasting of traditional Norwegian food. This tasting must be booked beforehand. The ingredients shall be ordered and prepared by an experienced Chief. This exclusive tasting is not possible to include in the price of the tour just because a group size varies between 1 and 10. I offered you to book your tasting (see our correspondence before the tour), but you said “no”. During our tour you had a professional presentation of fishing industry in Norway, and also tasting of the “Salmon Trilogy” - 3 different types of Norwegian salmon (hot smoked, cold smoked and marinated) in the “Salmon Center” in Oslo. Your rating shows that you did not read the tour description fully.

We had a great time with Tania (sp?)! We had explored the popular spots in the city prior to this tour and it was a Monday with many businesses closed. However, after asking us a few questions about where we had been and finding out that we loved to walk any city, she was able to give us a great experience with a great deal of local flavor and hitting spots that we either had neglected or were just truly off the beaten path. For examples, we were glad that we toured the Akershus Fortress with her as her narrations and knowledge of the site were far more informative than any travel books. We finished at the Vulkan food market with a fascinating overview of Norwegian foods that took a little courage! Having a well-traveled chef walk us through each morsel's history with his own personal experiences was quite the treat!
While I suspect that such an individualized experience was possible mostly because our family was the only one there, and there were some costs that needed to be paid a la carte, we were very happy to be able to explore Oslo more fully thanks to Tania!
