- Health and Fitness
- Though our regular scheduled tours are not strenuous, a certain degree of agility and fitness is recommended.
- Please advise your guide if you have any physical conditions that may affect your enjoyment of our kayak tour.
- Since our groups are small, we are normally able to adapt the pace of the tour to our guests. If you are looking for exercise, please be aware that our regular tours are not meant to be this, you will be asked to adjust your speed to the other clients and the guides pace.
- Tour Information
- OKT observes strict health & safety procedures, however when dealing with nature there always exists an element of risk. Please be aware that kayaking does carry a small degree of risk.
- Safety instructions will be given before every tour; all our guests must agree to follow these instructions.
- All our guides are trained in First Aid. On all tours they bring safety equipment, first aid equipment and communication devices.
- We reserve the right to make changes to the schedule or to cancel any tour or arrangement due to health, safety and weather conditions.
- We recommend all guests to have their own personal travel / medical Insurance.
- We offer boats with a capacity of 50-120 kg.
- Minimum age is 6 years.
- All participants have to be able to swim at least 200 m.
- We reserve the right to refuse participation to a client, if the person is e.g. intoxicated or in any other way not capable to sit in a kayak alone.
- Kayaking is a water sport. We will do our best to keep you dry, but some contact with salt water is unavoidable. Please bring suitable clothing. We will provide shoes for you.
- Please bring a dry change of clothes – in case you are going to swim – more or less voluntary.
- All participants must wear life vests.
- For safety reasons the group should stick together. Participants who leave the group, do this at their own risk. The tour guides are not responsible for people who leave the group.
- If not otherwise stated, food and beverage are not included in the price.
- What to bring:
- Sun protection
- (if possible watertight) bag to stow away valuables
- Secure glasses so you can’t lose them in the water.
- Something to eat and drink during breaks, it is not everywhere possible to buy something.
- Not recommended for travelers with back problems
- No heart problems or other serious medical conditions
- Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level
- This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund

We loved this activity! We got a very warm welcome by Annett, who is a fun guide and put us at ease as relative beginners. She started with a succint explanation on how to use the kayak (and how to get in without immediately falling in the water :p ).
There was a nice balance between fun facts and small talk, and quietly enjoying the beautiful nature around us. We definitely recommend this kayak tour! A great way to discover the Oslo Fyord's in an original way.

Top class experience from beginning to end. Good instructions, very safe and a well laid out tour with interesting stops for information on different places along the way. Followed up with som really helpful info on the rest of Oslo which enabled us to optimize our stay.

We had the most fantastic kayaktour with Oslo Kayaktours celebrating a 60 years old friend, who had never been in a kayak before, neither had the two others. I have paddled for a few years. They were very nervous before they entered the kayaks because it was a windy evening. We were taken sooo good care of, and could choose between single kayak or double. The instructor, Annett, gave us such a good instruction before we entered the kayaks, and was close to us all the time, so we felt safe and secure! We had booked a tour including evening food and that was superb! We entered a beach and went up to a little ”mountaintop” with a nice view of the Oslofjord. Everyone was extremely happy about the service, the equipment and the kayakinstructor. We highly recommend Oslo Kayaktours!

Our three hour tour was spectacular. After brief but essential instruction we headed down the fjord passed a harbor, cliffs and beaches, eventually circling the lighthouse and beaching near Huk beach. Idyllic and relaxing

Our family had a lovely time kayaking Oslo waters: the four of us (two adults two teenage-kids) managed to stand up in our respective boats, tried with lots of enthusiasm- though without great success - the Eskimo roll, chased each other fervently and swam in cosy bays. Thanks Tanja, you are a great guide and we thoroughly enjoyed the trip!

Who wouldn't enjoy a 3 hour tour on the Oslofjord? We started out navigating through the marina before entered the fjord. Lots of easy access beaches and areas to swim, including some high ledges to jump from for the more adventurous. Very friendly and experienced staff and guide. Don't hesitate booking a tour.
