Vigeland Park/Sculpture Park is a must-see. The sculptures are so interesting and then the gorgeous colours and variety of flora is so beautiful.
The Viking Ship Museum is amazing and an experience not to be missed if visiting Oslo. There is a film that accompanies the tour and explains the origins of the ship and how it was built etc........truly amazing.

Summer is the best time to visit Oslo. This relaxed yet very traditional European city is a hidden treasure waiting to be discovered. We had an amazing experience wondering the streets, enjoying nibbles in the restaurants and enjoying the sights. Everything was so easy to reach by public transportation that I was almost sad for the other places a bit further away we did not see because we just had so much we could fill our day within the city and around the area.

Being part of my heritage it was so interesting to see the four Viking ships unearthed for this museum. A great video plays at 1/2 hour intervals and is very entertaining and provides a background on the ships. Other artifacts also in the museum worth looking at.
