About the operator
- colleensV7594WS00Short Informative Visit to OsloTour guide was excellent and we learnt a much about Oslo. The sites visited were very interesting, especially The Polar exploration museum.
- JAM250100Fabulous tour, great value too!One of the best, most comprehensive tours we have done. Great value and Christopher our guide (#the_historygeek) was fabulous and so knowledgeable. Would thoroughly recommend this tour.
- aglow00Fun, not perfectViews were spectacular. Your was well organized and timed. The Fram museum, the Sculpture park and the Folk open air museum were fascinating. But.... we did not see the Oslo fjord since it takes 2 hours to get there. Disappointed that we paid for a tour which was described as a fjord cruise. We were confused as to why the boat was named Fjord, the tour was sold as if it would include the fjord but .... Also the pick up point was not clearly described or marked. There was no sign on the bus stops. Several people including us, ran around feeling anxious as to where to find the bus! The guide was knowledgeable and personable, although occasionally was difficult to understand. I would recommend this tour with these issues in mind.
- 167racheller00Trafalgar tours a waste of time and money. The tour was with Trafalgar and was a 19 day Britain and Ireland Panorama. It was a very unorganized tour. The hotels we stayed at were at the outer parts of the city. We arrived to the hotels late and there were no pubs close to the hotels and the museums were already closed. The tour guide we had was less than mediocre.
- Laurenvl00Excellent overviewThe context provided by our tour guide added to our experience in spite of a little rain. Christian “ Chris” the history nerd gave us plenty to think about that enhanced our understanding of the park, museums, architecture and history of Oslo, Norway.
- MinnesotaHomeGrown00Our Oslo TourWe really enjoyed the tour! It was nice to see so many places as we are only here for 3 days. Our tour guide did an excellent job of showing us around and telling us about the city!
- AnnaJoPetaluma00Good overall first outing in OsloWe especially liked the areas outside the city center. We got off the bus at the ski jump, the sculpture garden, and Fram museum. Also loved the boat ride. Main problem was the bus’ sound system through the earphones. Our guide, Christopher, was very knowledgeable but soft spoken and even at maximum we had a hard time hearing him. Granted we are older with aides. When he just talked through the main sound system, no problem. The bus tour through town was as expected, just ok with earphones but the highlight was the wonderful walk through the Sculpture garden with his very helpful guidance. We understand so much better what we were seeing. Would have enjoyed a couple view photo stops. The next day we had a very good idea as to how to continue enjoying this lovely city based upon this overview.
- Jh B00Great overview of the highlights of OsloExcellent guide. Good overview of the city. We saw a lot in 5 hours, but wished for even more time. Although we had seen most of the sights before, we learned many new things because of our guide Christopher.
- 255shabnamh00Amazing!The guide was very knowledgeable and funny as well as taking us to the best places in Oslo. The fjord tour was also very good and fun.
- Mick62700Great tourWonderful tour. Great guide, plenty of time in each place we visited. the places on the tour were all interesting and the neighborhoods we drove through were interesting in and of themselves.
- sridhar_katta00Great experience but ditch the Fjord tourI would give five stars for the tour and 4.5 stars for the Fjord tour. If I’d known that Fjord tours in Oslo are not so scenic, I’d have spent my time and money elsewhere. However, the cruise ship was luxurious. It was apparently all electric which was amazing. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. We loved the grand city tour. They covered the Ski jump arena and two museums between 10 am to 3:30 pm. The tour guide also narrated history of Norway in a nutshell which was nice.
- Culture6412973152500Oslo is a great city to visit. We give 4 out of 5 because we feel our tour guid is below our expectation. Maybe next time we can meet a better one.
- V9799ATkimm00Grand Tour of Oslo was GREATLoved our Tour. We saw so many things, learned so much, and the timing of each activity was perfect. It was a great way to see Oslo and learn about its history in a fun and informative way. It's a long day with time to grab a quick sandwich/snack along the way. I especially loved learning about the sculpture garden - without the tour guide it would not have been nearly as interesting! The unhosted/unguided boat tour was a perfect way to end the day relaxing on the water with wonderful views. Such a good day!
- karenkK5266XL00Wonderful!Our guide was excellent! We saw a lot in one full day and became well acquainted with Oslo. I highly recommend it!
- Pactx00Great way to see Oslo in a day!Nice trip. The guide was very knowledgeable and explained the city highlights well. They did a nice job to juggle the schedule around the rain.

I was looking for a tour to do in Oslo since I was there for only a two days wanted to see as much in the city & the ski jump venue. The 3hr panorama tour was perfect! Margaret, our guide, was knowledgeable, spoke English and had a great attitude. Despite the foggy weather, I felt that the tour was excellent. I particularly loved the Vigeland Park and learning about the sculptures as well as Gustav Vigeland. We also saw the palace, cruise ships, and many other points of interest in Oslo. The bus was comfortable and large windows.
Thank you HMK yours for an enjoyable day!

Nice to get to the outer parts of the city via the bus trip. Our guide was fair - not much history was given of the city as expected. Did the 5 hour trip. Guide talked more about things that interested her vs. giving a broad overview of things. Definitely needed more time at the Ski Jump and less time at Vigeland Park. Would have been fun to be able to go up the elevator at the ski jump, but there was very little time given at this stop. A handful of people did go up and the bus LEFT them there....so make sure you stay on track with your time, as they will not wait! A lot of walking at stops on this tour, so be aware if travelling with elderly. I think our guide made the trip less than stellar, would have preferred to make the trips/stops on our own.

Took this tour today and was sorely disappointed as I had expected a relaxing guided tour only to have it spoiled by disruptive children and their loud parents.
Driver and guide were very good but appeared helpless despite asking for silence . In addition 20 minutes of this your were taken to check these people in in a stop at the Copenhagen ferry.

This was an excellent tour and Helene was a very good tour guide providing just the right amount of cultural and historical detail. I got to see a number of places I wouldn’t have seen on my own. The only thing I would have changed is a little more time at Holmenkollen to be able to climb to the top of the ski jump. I highly recommend this tour.

We absolutely loved this tour! We felt like we got a great overview of current Oslo (ski jump and love for outdoor winter sports) vs. old Oslo (open air culture museum), art (Vigeland sculpture park) and history (Fram Museum) and everything in between. The guide and driver were super friendly and knowledgable. The bus was very comfortable with nice large windows to take in the vistas. Highly recommend.

This was a really nice and convenient tour of Oslo. The meeting point seemed to be a bit obscure, but nothing unmanageable. We went past the main sites Oslo on the way to the ski jump in Holmenkollen. The ski jump itself was an incredible experience; we had 40 minutes to roam independently and to look out over Oslo. We then went back down to the city center to Vigeland Park where we got out of the coach and was shown around the park. We had the concepts and histories behind the statues explained to us throughout the park. We then went down to the Bygdøy peninsula, where those who paid more got out to explore the museums; the rest of us were taken back to the bus stop.
Would definitely recommend!

Oslo is a very attractive city and the tour takes you through attractive suburbs to a high viewing at the ski jump, great views. We loved Vigeland Park, there can't be many parks of that size which are the creation of one artist, every statue, post, lamp the vision of one artist, it is amazing. Our guide also chatted during the journey, educating us on the Norwegian culture and customs. Super tour.

Interesting overview of Oslo. We really enjoyed the insights and humor of the guide. He had in-depth knowledge of the sculptures at Frognerparken, and had clearly spent a lot of time there over the years which made viewing the park very informative.
This is a bus tour with lost time due to multiple pickup sites, and driver/guide allowing extra wait time for passengers who were not on time which resulted in very rushed stops. (Particularly at the ski jump stop).
Good-to-know note ahead of booking:
A 5-hour tour is available, but option for booking on line through Trip Advisor only gave a 3-hour tour option. Please know you can upgrade on board the bus. We had not planned enough time to do so, but the second part sounded interesting and included a museum stop and more.

Dear Carol,
Thank you for joining our "Oslo Panorama tour" and for taking your time to write a review!
We're delighted to hear you enjoyed the insights and humor of the guide! Our authorized guides are the ones to add so much value to our bus tours!
We only have 1 starting point (at Haakon VIIs gate/street 1, at 10:00 am) and only 1 pick-up point at DFDS ferry terminal (at approx 10:30), which is included in our schedule, and from where we pick up the passengers who booked our tour but can't make it to the starting point in time. Usually this pick-up service doesn't take more than 5 minutes, but very seldom, like on the day you joined the tour, there was a delay due to an extended customs control, and we had to wait a little longer.
But we still managed to cover and respect the program!
The stop at Holmenkollen is usually 20-30 minutes maximum, so we didn't rush it this time. It's mainly a stop for seeing this landmark, taking photos, using the restrooms, etc. and a good opportunity for the guide to explain more about Oslo and Norway on the way to and from Holmenkollen Ski Jump.
Regarding the 5,5 hour tour you mention (Oslo Discovery Tour), it is available for booking through TripAdvisor and you can see it here:
https://www.tripadvisor.com/AttractionProductReview-g190479-d15592972-Oslo_Discovery_Tour-Oslo_Eastern_Norway.html
The Discovery Tour can also be booked and an addition to the Panorama Tour on spot, in case the guests who originally booked Oslo Panorama Tour decide to extend the tour by visiting 2 popular museums in Oslo.
Hopefully, you'll have the change to come back to Oslo one day and joing one of our longer tours, either Oslo Discovery tour or Oslo Combo Tour.
Thanks again for your review and all the best from HMK Sightseeing!
