About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- nicholasr7940 contributionsLoved Vigeland Sculpture ParkLoved the Vigeland Sculpture Park and the Norwegian Folk Museum. Did not have enough time at the Fram Museum to see it and get something to eat, so didn't see the Fram. The Holmenkollen Ski Jump was a boring, waste of time. Rita was a very knowledgable tour guide, but too bossy and angry about people wanting to go to the bathroom at the first stop. Bus was comfortable. Hotel or cruise port pick up would have been helpful. Pick up , bus stop was hard to find and a long hike from our hotel. Would've liked to have a Norwegian guide, but Rita was not.Written September 30, 2024
- Steve H0 contributionsA Great Overview of OsloWe found this your to be a great overview of the sites and history of Oslo. Our guide was excellent and knowledgeable, and the tour packed a lot in for 5.5 hours. This would be a great way to start a visit to Oslo and find the things you would want to visit and dig into further. We recommend it highly.Written September 30, 2024
- 141cherylg0 contributionsGreat 5 hr trip of top sites. Highly recommend. This trip covers all the top spots to see in 5 hr on comfortable bus. Guide Rita was outstanding, so knowledgeable, and very easy to understand !!Written September 16, 2024
- I4182TGlaurieb0 contributionsGreat tourExcellent tour guide, we saw and learned so much about Oslo. It is a wonderful city with so much to offer. The bus was clean and well kept, very comfortable ride.Written September 12, 2024
- T8347MKsharonc0 contributionsHighly recommendedLast minute booking as our previous booking was cancelled on the morning of the tour. So glad -the tour guide was so informative, pointing out all the places as we passed through. She was helpful as was the driver. Also when we were walking through the park she was a good pace rather than racing ahead like some guides. I would highly recommend this operator.Written August 27, 2024
- jurism3700 contributionsComprehensive but relaxing too!Excellent tour guide and driver. Light rain at times, but they juggled indoor outdoor venues and made it work. As much information and fun as you can pack in 5.5 hours.Written August 23, 2024
- csorenson20160 contributionsWell worth itExceptional guide. Wonderful sites visited. Comfortable bus. One of best of this type of tour we’ve been on. Highly recommendedWritten August 11, 2024
- GrandTour400280704730 contributionsSuper one day tour of Oslo. The tour was very informational. We saw the main Oslo attractions in one day. The driver was very good and the guide gave us a lot of information. Sometimes I think she is history teacher, the way she told the stories. We got a lot wiser from the norwegen history. Thank you for the tour. To bad the Vikingmuseum was closed, it is open in 2027. Maybe one negative note, at 15.00 we got so much info from the guide it was enough for us. The day was good arranged and we would do it again.Written July 31, 2024
- T3465NOtimb0 contributionsFor a high light tour of Oslo, I don't know how it could be better accomplishedOutstanding, both in terms of the new electric bus, the driver and especially our guide Marta (SP?) on 7.24.2024. The places we visited were excellent, althought the time spent at especially the Fram & Open Air Museum was way to short. That comment is not a criticism. Either place one could spend at least a 1/2 day and more. Nevertheless, given the "10 pounds of tour in a 5 pound bag", and keeping on a schedule, the organization and time management was very clear to passengers and respected. Very well done and appreciated. We are looking for additional tours by HMK. No reflection on the tour, but for me a 75 year old man, the climb at the Open Air Museum was , can I say a "ball buster"? Because it was.Written July 24, 2024
- cherylnK2493EQ0 contributionsGreat tourWe enjoyed a great day. Informative with a twist of humour. Our tour guide was easy to hear and understand and bus driver Victor was great.Written July 12, 2024
- julzngo0 contributionsQuick Oslo VisitIt is a fast paced tour over the city of Oslo but nonetheless worthwhile especially if you only have a few hours to explore the city and have to get back again in the cruise ship. The guide and driver were both good especially with timekeeping. The Holmenkollen Ski Jump and Vigeland Park were the highlights of this tour. It’s worth taking this tour.Written July 5, 2024
- SeeDotGo0 contributionsGreat way to see the city highlightsWe usually do walking or biking tours when in bigger cities, but wanted to see as much as we could during our relatively short stay in Oslo. So we booked this 6 hr. bus tour May 28 and it did not disappoint. It stopped at many of the highlights and the guide was terrific. On the get-out-of-the-bus stops – Vigeland Park, the Fram Museum and the Norse Folk Museum -- the guide led us and gave lots of helpful background and info. Well worth the price!Written May 31, 2024
- Eric Cheryl V0 contributionsNice place to visit to cool off during the afternoon and enjoy the view overlooking OsloA nice place to visit and see. There is a zip line and a virtual ski jump. Scenery is awesome overlooking Oslo. a short travel up past and you come to an old restaurant that overlooks Oslo. nice place to sit and have a beer or some Norwegian food. Great views.Written May 30, 2024
- Karen P0 contributionsExcellent tour highly recommendedExcellent tour well worth it, such beautiful scenery with exceed history knowledge from the tour guide - highly recommend. The tour around Oslo with the knowledge from the tour guide of the history not only of the building but the kings of Norway. Then up to the ski jump with such wonderful views to the beautiful sculpture park was outstanding such beautiful moving sculptures and explained so eloquently- absolutely outstanding so worth booking - highly recommendedWritten May 18, 2024
- Lee W0 contributionsGreat city to view, but not from a busVery difficult to see city highlights from a bus window-we’ve had excellent experience s with double decker busses in other cities. Guide was very good-lots of information and humor to boot. Best part of tour was Vigeland Park-amazing!Written May 16, 2024

This tour was decent, but not great. It is arguable whether or not it was worth the high price. A lot of what you see, is while driving in the bus and it is hard to see anything because of the speed at which you are going, or maybe the sights are on the opposite side of the bus you are sitting on, etc.
I wish we had more time at the Viking museum. I also which we had more time at the ski course. The boat ride was nice, pretty long actually, you see some islands and the Oslo coastline but don’t expect to see a traditional fjord, no cliffs, nothing spectacular

Dear Guest,
Thank you for joining our tour and for taking the time to review it.
We’re sorry to hear you have doubts whether the tour was worth the price or not, and I can only say the price includes a package discount and it’s cheaper than booking the bus tour and the boat tour separately.
Indeed, during the panoramic sightseeing in the city centre there are no stops included, but we’re driving as slow as possible by all the main landmarks in the city, and the time spent at each location is right for taking in all the main attractions. Of course, one can always spend more time at the preferred attraction, but we’re trying to offer a good overview of the most important highlights in Oslo on this 7-hour tour. Regarding the cruise on the Oslo fjord, the scenery is of course different compared to the fjords on the Western coast of Norway, but we hope you still enjoyed it!
We wish you all the best and we hope you enjoyed your trip to Oslo on the overall! Welcome back another time!

An absolutely lovely day! The fjord cruise was a wonderfully relaxing end to the day. I highly recommend this tour not only if you have limited time in Oslo, but also to help you identify sites you want to go spend more time. In addition, our guide pointed out places the tour didn’t stop and gave her recommendations for places we might go on our own.

Great experience just consider there are no stops at the National Museum or the Opera but you can go on your own since they are very close to where you take the tour.
I took the grand tour option and our guide Rita was amazing. We went to the ski museum, sculptures park, and an outdoor houses museum (my least favorite). The ski museum is far away so it’s great when you take this tour because taxis in Oslo are very expensive.
The tour ends with a 2 hour cruise and you can enjoy a view of the city from the water.

Oslo is a big beautiful city with loads of things fascinating things to see. This tour gets you around to the top sights and along the way shows you the city as well. History and local lore are discussed as you drive along in the comfortable bus. The friendly and well informed guide speaks perfect English and is a great narrator of all you will see. There was a good amount of time at the various museums and parks so you could get a reasonable look at them. The final stop for the fiord boat trip was a delightful ending to a well planned day of touring. We felt the trip was well priced for the abundance of things you got to see and learn about.

The tour guide gave us wonderful facts and history about Oslo and Norway. He had a great sense of humor and had lots of trivia facts also. The detailed information on the tour of the Fram museum was amazing. The guided tour and explanations of the sculptures at Vigeland Park was priceless. The boat tour was adequate as it is self narrative as you have to have a phone to listen to the narration. Bring a lunch and water as very little time to buy anything at the stop. No time to shop for a trinket either. This is not a tour for mobility issues but you can stay on the bus and miss some of the sites.

Hubby and I joined this tour and what a great introduction to Oslo! Our driver, Victor was very good and with clear instructions. Margaret our guide was just amazing. She is obviously an elderly lady what a stamina and walking city history book.
The three walking tours (Sculpture park, Open Museum and Fram) were absolutely delightful. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour.
I love the fact they were using double decker bus, you see a while lot more when you are higher up.
It was also the perfect day for sailing in the afternoon. Pleasant company.
Love the trip and so well organised. Thanks for a wonderful way.

We especially liked the areas outside the city center. We got off the bus at the ski jump, the sculpture garden, and Fram museum. Also loved the boat ride. Main problem was the bus’ sound system through the earphones. Our guide, Christopher, was very knowledgeable but soft spoken and even at maximum we had a hard time hearing him. Granted we are older with aides. When he just talked through the main sound system, no problem.
The bus tour through town was as expected, just ok with earphones but the highlight was the wonderful walk through the Sculpture garden with his very helpful guidance. We understand so much better what we were seeing. Would have enjoyed a couple view photo stops. The next day we had a very good idea as to how to continue enjoying this lovely city based upon this overview.

Combination of coach and walking and fjord cruise in one package worked brilliantly, weather permitting. Need to make a special mention about the tour guide Christine who shared a wealth of information about the history of the city and the various sites we passed on the tour. Thoroughly recommended.

The Grand City bus tour and associated visits were excellent with informative and friendly guide. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to see some of the main attractions with limited time.
The Oslo fjord cruise itself was excellent but sadly did not have any commentary which was dissappointing as we were not familiar with the islands we were passing. If you are looking for a boat trip I would advise choosing one with a commentary rather than this one if you are interested in the places you are passing.

The bus tour was very nice. We had a very charming local guide who pointed out many interesting sites along the way. We saw the ski jump venue, the scupture park and the Fram museum, all very worthwhile, but we got a last minute notice that the Fjord tour was cancelled due to issues with the boat company. The bus tour company wasn't at fault and the aggregator wasn't either. We requested and received a refund for the lost cruise but it remains a disappointing end to our only day in Oslo.

Thinking about thanking this tour. The Fjord Cruise, how wavy / bumpy is it? How would it be for someone the can get motion sickness?
Written May 22, 2023
Not particularly bumpy, but then I've never had a problem with motion sickness, so I may not be entirely reliable on this issue. Good luck!

Hi. We are coming to town on June 18th and would like to go on this excursion. Is it not available at all or just hasn't opened up yet?

My husband and I are interested in this tour, but we are arriving on the Holland America ship on October 4 at 7:00 a.m. and depart at 5:00 p.m. How far is Rådhusbrygge 3, Oslo, Norway, from where our ship docks? Thanks! - Lois Ann
Written June 23, 2022
There are two places where the cruise
ships dock in Oslo. One is very close the other is a little further away. When we went on this trip the coach actually stopped off at the docked cruise ships to pick up some passengers

How long do you get to spend in the Viking Ship Museum?
Written September 6, 2019
I don't remember exactly, but it seemed like quite a short time. Not more than an hour. There are only a few ships on display and a lot of smaller stuff to see. My worst problem was the dim lighting inside, which made taking good pictures difficult. In any case, the Fram museum impressed me much more than this one.

When on this Combo Tour, how do you handle lunch?
Written September 2, 2019
There is a excellent food place (shipping container) outside the Fram Museum which sells food. It’s spotless clean, has seating outside and the staff are wonderful. Or you can take food with you.
