- mightypink60 contributionsGreat Sight Seeing trip of the Oslo FjordsGreat 2hr sight seeing tour of Oslo Fjord, really amazing experience even in the rain. Super friendly and helpful staff on the ground and on board, lots of tables to sit at and blankets to enjoy the views. Good information shared over the speakers about the different parts of the Fjord. Thank you for a lovely morning adventure.Written March 30, 2024
- melissawho0 contributionsGood experience! We did the sailboat tour and it was fantastic. A great way to spend more time in the fjord and learn more about Oslo. The narrations are pre-recorded in easy-to-understand English and can be heard from all parts of the boat. There is a bar and restrooms on board.Written July 15, 2023
- Jay A0 contributionsFantastic Fjord experienceThis trip was 10/10. Great value, the staff were polite, the route was really good and the informative speaker explaining the spots was super interesting. Would 100% recommend.Written March 19, 2023
- ChrisDav0 contributionsGood experienceGreat tour on a nice ship ! We were able to see olso from the sea side and get a nice tour around the fjords. We did stop at Bygdøy to see the Farm museum & Kon Tiki Museum. We had a good +3hrs of free time on the island which was great - but the ship was fully packed on our way back in the afternoon.Written March 2, 2023

- amycF3131YF0 contributionsWonderful way to spend an afternoonWe had a great time, despite the icy chill and incessant rain. The tour was beautiful and the guide, really informative. We imagine that going out on a sunny day would be really amazing. Great tour and generally a lovely way to spend 2 hours in Oslo.Written February 18, 2023
- PhoebeGDB0 contributionsBeautiful sightsI really enjoyed this cruise - staff were friendly, patter was good, hot spiced wine was good. Because although Oslo was not as cold as expected, it was quite nippy on the boat. One quibble - this cruise should not run on Mondays. It was rather annoying to discover the museums are all closed.Written February 15, 2023
- louisac8670 contributionsA wonderful short cruiseThis was a wonderful cruise around the fjord. We stopped at Bygdoynes and visited the Fram and the Norwegian Folk Museum. The commentary on the cruise was very informative and we enjoyed the lovely warm drinks that were on offer. There were plenty of rugs and blankets if you felt cold. A definite must during your visit to Oslo!Written February 8, 2023

- Lindsay N0 contributionsThe Serenity of the FjordeThis trip is so worth while, make sure you layer up nice and warm so you can focus on the serenity of the Fjorde, Whilst there is great commentary which is intermittent and very informative, there are moments of complete peace when the engine is turned off and you can really appreciate the stillness and vast beauty. I found my zen for sure. Just what I needed.Written January 14, 2023
- ccleesmith0 contributionsGreat short cruiseOr flight was impacted by severe weather and the company was generous to let us pick another date for this cruise. It was a VERY cold day, but they provided blankets and there was plenty of space to move around. The bar was fully stocked with a large variety of food and beverages. We chose not to stop off at the museums so it was an easy 2-hour cruise. We loved to seeing the bath houses.Written January 12, 2023
- Richard F0 contributionsGentle cruise around Oslofyord.Very helpful staff. Nice gentle cruise in a vintage boat. Informative commentary. Wrap up warm in winter! Though blankets and gløg available. Would recommend.Written December 5, 2022
- mwoolf20170 contributionsLeisurely big boat excursion with lots of othersA slow leisurely excursion out to Oslo Fjords on a big boat with many others. The boat was packed. The audio guide was very sparse, highlighting maybe 10 + things along the way. Would have been nice to learn more. Also he’d to hear sometimes do you crowd chatting. The teens found it too slow and boring, and the number of people on the boat a bit surprising. Otherwise it left and returned on time. Nice that they gave us blankets to stay warm.Written August 18, 2022
- BruggeisCool0 contributionsGreat cruiseWe took a cruise around the Oslofjord. Lovely views all around with a commentary in English. Recommend sitting on the higher level for the best views.Written July 14, 2022
- zuv0 contributionsNice cruiseI used their services for a Oslo Fjord sightseeing. It lasted two hours. The route started at the Radhusplassen pier, passed by Akershus castle and continued to the Opera, the Munch Museum and then through the islands of Hovedøya and Bleikøya. The route continues between the other two islands, Lindøya and Gressholmen and reaches the top of the Nesodden Peninsula. Then it continues south along the western shore of the peninsula to the island of Ildjernet. From here you make your way back. Pass by the Bygdøy peninsula and return to the starting point. The ship was unexpectedly crowded, but the cruise was beautiful. Be careful, even though it was sunny, it was quite cold. There is a bar on the boat, where you can get snacks, juices, water, beer or spirits.Written May 6, 2022

Sailing at slow pace in the Oslo fjord with a service-minded crew was very relaxing after 3 intense days of exploring the City, museums, beach and restaurants. Departure 10h30, enough seating space for everyone, return on time 12h25. Accessible to people with limited mobility (e.g. crutches). Comments on fjord's history and settings are easy-access for everyone. Music is dicrete. To revommend for a mini break in your ecthic holiday...

We went at the end of November, and it was very cold! This was a really nice trip with lovely views and a good way to get on the water while staying in Oslo. However, after the first hour it became a bit gruelling due to the cold, so perhaps a shorter trip in the winter, or go in the summer. There were lovely warming drinks available at the bar but they were quite pricy.
The views were nice, the commentary interesting and there was a useful stop at the museums (though you have to go on the morning boat if you want to catch the boat back), but overall the trip was pretty average. The seating area was overcrowded, with people having to stand for the entirety of the 2 hours if they got on too late, and if you sat on the right, you missed a lot of the views that the commentary was telling you about, which were on the left and covered by two rows of tables.
Overall the layout, the lack of cover in the cold weather and the overcrowding took the trip from great to just nice, but it was a fun experience and I'm glad we went.

We took the Fjordsightseeing cruise as part of our OsloPass, and it was a nice way to relax and enjoy some Oslofjord scenery! The cruise highlighted the charming little Norwegian summer houses lining the shores, and it was amazing to see the beauty of the natural landscape.
Keep in mind though, this isn't a full fjord adventure. The cruise stays closer to the city and doesn't venture deep into the dramatic fjords with towering cliffs. So, if you're expecting those majestic postcard views, you might be disappointed.
But, for a relaxing boat trip with some pleasant scenery and a chance to see those cute summer houses, Fjordsightseeing is a good option, especially if it's included in your OsloPass. 🇳🇴⛴️

The tour left from a dock next to a very popular local hangout area. Walked to it from the hotel in less than 15 minutes.
The narration itself was excellent. I like how the boat got close to the various locations.
My only issue is that the boat looked a little bit too old and weathered.
Also I needed to use the restroom, at the terminal building I was denied, with the staffer at the building saying it wasn't for the public's use. However, as I was boarding the boat the staffer from the building ran over and apologized, because he didn't realize I was a customer. I give him credit for the correction.
With that side I will move the rating to above average.

I can see how this could be a very nice summer activity. But not nice at all in winter. After half an hour almost half the boat was in the closed room downstairs (the cafe area) as it was way too windy and cold to be outside. And there wasn’t enough room for everyone…

It was a beautiful day for a cruise, the fjord was like a mill pond but there was still a chill so wear something warm or bring a jacket. Try and sit on the left (port) side of the boat as you’ll get a better view.
The commentary was interesting but there were long periods of silence which perhaps could have been padded out.
The food and drink aboard is very expensive. I was shocked to pay 48NK for instant coffee from a thermos ( despite the offer of a free refill) which is fully priced!
Nice to do if you have a few spare hours and the weather is good.

Really fun experience! The boat’s captain was honestly the coolest Norwegian grandpa ever and he added so much to the whole thing. The boat was beautiful and the drinks (which can be purchased on board) were great. The only reason I give 4/5 stars is that I wish there was more “guiding” on the boat - I was hoping to learn more than I did. But still, great experience and definitely recommend

Definitely a great experience to have. In reality, little content: not much about the city that can be seen from the sea, just a generic description of the buildings and little more. Much of the cruise in places that were the same as each other without much interest, it seemed more like something for tourists at an affordable price. However, I recommend it since a point of view from the fjord is needed.

I sat on the on Wharfside thinking if this experience would be worth it before I bought a ticket, and I'm pleased to say it was. Despite the cruise not being the most visually striking of cruises, it was pleasant none the less with crystal clear weather and glassy waters gliding the boat across the water.
The cruise departed bang on time, with boarding starting about 10 minutes before departure and returned on time 2 hours later. The cruise works its way round the harbour area, which is fairly uninteresting, although context is given to a couple of buildings that can be found. From here the yacht sailed out into the fjord, passed some rocky islands, unique waterside houses, and a lighthouse as it circles back to dock again. Information is given in English over loudspeaker with a human guide, she was quite knowledgeable, and made parts of it humorous where relevant to sights of interest on the voyage.
The yacht is small but has plenty of seating areas on the deck with long tables, which is where you will be spending most of your time. Views are also fairly unobstructed. Below deck is the toilet and a small refreshment area. I got myself a hot chocolate which was quite expensive, although it was a large glassful, as opposed to a small cup so I'm pleased to say I did get my money’s worth. They do offer small snacks such as warm waffles too.
I was pleased to visit and see some sights that I wouldn't have otherwise been able too had I have not done this experience. Yes, it’s not quite the traditional Norwegian Fjord Cruise many picture, but is still nice to do, so expect to see vast waters, rocky outcrops, and if your lucky, Dolphins, seals or whales on the journey.

The views were amazing from the boat. We were taken around the islands and given an amazing view of the opera, library and Munch museum. We decided to visit these places because of the cruise and it was a wonderful experience. We were able to see The Scream at the Munch museum as the viewing was between 7:30 and 8pm. Overall great experience.

I would like to know whether the staff recommends wearing a jacket/sweatshirt for the cruise at the end of June -
Written April 28, 2022
Please advise as to what to wear for this cruise (sweater, jacket, hat, sweatshirt)?
Written April 28, 2022
DEFINITELY wear layers. It was quite chilly in the city when we went in mid-April but when we got out on the water, it was really chilly. Obviously, if you go in July it would be a different experience but I think the temperature change would be proportional. Also, where you sit will impact the temperature. I sat on the lower deck (i.e. closer to the waterline) and we had no problem with the wind. At one point on the cruise I went up on the poop deck to ask the staff a question and the wind made it REALLY cold (one family had taken shelter in the wheel house by the captain).
The cruise is worth it though!

Really silly question but I get terrible sea sickness, is this quite a sedate and smooth ride?
