      Arctic Fjord Cruise
Took the cruise from the Tromso harbor with Ivan as our guide. He introduced the crew and provided the safety briefing with an interesting twist helping to keep the attention of passengers on an important subject. Ivan provided narration, information and history, explaining points of interest as we cruised. Unfortunately, wind and currents were to high to make any stops or launch the underwater drone, but the captain made up for it by pointing out a harbor porpoise and following it for a bit to ensure all passengers got a glimpse. The ship is lovely, very comfortable and has lots of room to move about. My sisters and I enjoyed our experience.

This trip has the highlight of my holiday
I had an amazing time on this tour. The team are so professional. The hybrid boat is a really pleasant ride. Seeing the wildlife is magical, especially the underwater drone. I particularly enjoyed the educational component as I learned so much on this trip that I am inspired to learn more. I would recommend this trip, especially the little break to see the tiny fishing museum.

      Fabulous nature!
Frieda and the rest of the team were great. Weather was changeable but good visibility throughout. Great cinnamon buns and hot chocolate! Drone viewing was interesting and lectures informative. All staff super friendly. Great bring in the silent peace of an electric engine. Plenty of room to sit inside or out. We are aged 14-76 and everyone had fun. We also saw a whale!!! .. which was the high point of course… but shouldn’t generally be expected at this time of year.

      Wonderful Tromso and surroundings💖
Awesome service, very knowledgable guiding. The best of Tromso by many means. Definitely recommend. (The soup could be less spicy though 😀)

      Amazing!
Amazing experience. Absolutely a dream come true! We were lucky enough to see over 100 Orca. I love that when all the other boats weren't being respectful of the whales our boat backed off to protect and be respectful. I'll definitely be back. I'd like to bring my children next time.

Brilliantly relaxing cruise in an amazing landscape
Cannot recommend this enough. The crew are all friendly, knowledgeable and approachable, the catamaran is practically silent and gives such a smooth ride you barely notice, the views are incredible, and the food and drink is ideal. Four and a half hours flew by!

      Cloudy but still great
The weather wasn't perfect, sadly there was partial cloud, but I'd highly recommend this trip. Sophie was helpful, ran the bar, made the announcements and generally guided us through the natural and human made (WW2) history around the Fjords. The Brimm explorer is a hybrid electric/diesel boat. Despite the cloud there were great views and a stop half way to see some fishing equipment and a tasting.

      Nice Fjord tour
Nice scenic Tromso Fjord tour with about 20 people for 4 hours. Saw the fjords and the fish factory. Not too expensive. Booked it from Tromso Visitor center.

      Great experience
This was an amazing experience and the perfect way to round off the last day of my trip. The weather was beautiful and we were fortunate enough to see the midnight sun over the mountains on this trip. The crew were excellent, accommodating, attentive and made special effort to point out any wildlife in the area, such as razorbills, eider ducks and a sea eagle. I really enjoyed learning about the local wildlife and the history of the local area and the islands we passed along the way. Christopher was a great host and shared a lot of great local and environmental knowledge. Thanks, keep it classy!

      Wow
We were blessed with a calm sea, a cloudless sky, and not a puff of wind, but if the weather had been rotten, I'd still give a perfect review, because the crew were so approachable, knowledgeable, and friendliable. The boat was amazing, the sights were outstanding, and the info was enlightening on tromso, and the maritime and fishing history. Frieda, the tour guide was engaging, entertaining and clearly seemed to enjoy her job, which all added to the experience. Saying that, all of the crew were happy to answer questions they've no doubt been asked many times before and did so with enthusiasm. In case it's not clear, I would thoroughly recommend going on this trip

I joined the brim explorer for a dinner cruise on 4th Feb 2022 - staff were great but considering the price of the trip the diner and cruise experience was terrible. The main course was a simple fish soup, and the desert was a pre-prepared rice pudding. The starter was cancelled and replaced with a glass of wine. All other drinks you pay for in addition to the cost of the cruise. As a diner cruise, I expected a proper sit down dining experience with the chance to see the northern lights, but instead food was casually provided while we informally sat around the cabin. The cruise was 3hrs but we spent significant time sitting still in the water in what felt like an attempt to wind down the clock. We did nothing more than go around Tromso island. There was little communication during the trip as to what we might be seeing, where we might be located or indeed where we might be going, or why we weren’t moving for much of it!. Overall, this cruise is far too overpriced relative to the experience received - I would not recommend it. Far better to take the RIB experience with another provider in the day, and then use the money to have a nice dinner in the city.

We had just gotten engaged and had the aurora dinner cruise booked on our last night in Norway before returning home. We arrived early and decided to wait next to the catamaran until boarding started and as time went by the remaining guests queued politely.

It wasn't long before a rude foreign woman wearing purple clothing barged in and pushed everyone away flying a booking confirmation in everyone's faces shouting about her 16 person group booking. She was sent to another catamaran with her group and we waited to board.

The staff member could not find my and my partner's names on her list and also sent us to the other catamaran. When we arrived, the same rude woman shouted in my face "you are not part of my group!" And shoved me out of the way. Where I come from, shouting at someone in public and shoving them out of the way is considered harassment. Maybe I was in the way of her group, but it does not give her the right to harass me.

When she finally boarded, the staff member also could not find us in her list and said we belong on the first catamaran we came from. We were last to board and was seated at table in the middle of the ship with the view of a staircase whilst everyone else were sitting by the windows with romantic views of the city.

The food was terrible too, but in light of the other guest's harassment, not the worst. This company should really invest in a more professional passenger management protocol. Get a tablet or phone with your guest list instead of a piece of paper missing half the names, and manage your group tours separately.

    Ruined our engagement completely.

We had a lovely evening and great views of Tromso, fjord and local scenery on a lovely and very quiet boat which amazing staff. Informed of the menu in advance, however, for guests who have disclosed allergies no clear info on how to ensure we have the 'right' meal. Also couldn't remember what each course ways so perhaps a printed menu on the boat / recapping the course. This was the only thing that put a slight dampener on things as I was unsure that I would need the vegetarian meal when there was a fish dish but then I didn't know if the vegetarian meal was chestnut free. A little more thought on ensuring the guest gets the right food on the night as they do try to attend to guests allergies.

RUNAWAY FROM HERE!!! Essentially you just putter up and down the river next to the city with very basic food. You are always by the city so light pollution hurts northern light viewing. The main course is even served in an aluminum tray, showing they don't even prepare their own meals but give you essentially frozen food for dinner. Please do not put your hard earned money towards this cruise. Instead go to Wandering Owl van tour, much better experience

We’ve been to a few Scandinavian countries in the past and know how hit-and-miss the northern lights can be! We booked the dinner cruise as a preferable way to enjoy an evening in the warm rather than freezing on a hill somewhere and not seeing anything (as we’d experienced before).

We figured that even if the lights didn’t show, we’d have a nice evening with good food. Luckily they did appear, although I’m confident we’d have enjoyed our evening either way. Nice hearty food; very welcoming, friendly staff and a lovely clean, modern boat. Highly recommend!

A group of us went to celebrate a birthday and hoped to see the Northern lights along with some good food.
Aksel and crew looked after us so well - we were able to all sit together and they even 'baked' us a clementine 'cake'.
We were incredibly lucky with being able to see Northern Lights a minute after the safety briefing!
The Aurora was incredible and the electric engines made for a smooth sailing.
    I would highly recommend.

This was a lovely end to our trip. It was well organised and the food was delicious they catered for our dietary requirements as well. We sadly didn’t see the lights but that is not the fault of the company as this is chance, we enjoyed being out on the water in the dark. Fred was a great host lots of info and friendly as well. Would recommend

We joined the Brim explorer tour late in the day but the team was accommodating to us. We really wanted to see the northern lights from a boat. We were too late to sign up for the dinner which sounded delicious. They were so kind to us. The best part of the whole experience was the guide. His name was Ivan. If it weren’t for him I’m not sure the trip would have been as awesome. He was so informative and gave us all so much information about the northern lights and the arctic circle. He was also actually quite funny and had the group laughing all the time. His team of servers were excellent and so pleasant as well. Thanks for a great experience. The boat was so silent and it ran so smoothly mostly because it’s electric. It doesn’t send off fumes that can be so horrible when breathed in. We loved it and got a few northern lights views. Would definitely recommend.

We're so glad to hear that you had a great experience with us, even with a late joining! It's wonderful to know that Ivan and our team made your Northern Lights tour memorable with their knowledge and humor. We're also happy that you appreciated the smooth and eco-friendly ride on our electric boat. Thank you for recommending us, and we hope to see you again for another adventure!

The boat was well set up for guests, crew was gracious and welcome bubbles were a nice touch. The cold appetizer plate and dessert were better than expected, with a nice variety to sample. The main course soup was hot and basic. The bar was great for those without motion sensitivity.
We did not think to notify the operator of a nut allergy based on the food description. When dessert came out with nuts, the server was kind enough to track down one without nuts and also offer a cookie instead. For a teenager with no desire to make a fuss, it was a lovely, low key gesture.
One area for awareness is that the pier area was VERY icy (December). Spikes are helpful if not mandatory in some areas for safety. I was wearing heavy tread hiking boots, walking carefully and still went down hard trying to see if we were in the right area for our tour. Signage would help, perhaps also to identify dinner cruise from cruise-only lines. No aurora (natural phenomenon), bright stars, clear sky and beautiful mountain/harbor views. It was a relaxing evening to start our Tromsø trip. Worth the price of admission in our opinion.

We booked a 3 night cruise to Guernsey but the weather was too bad to lower the tenders so the one and only port was aborted. The cruise turned into a staycation cruise.

I have a disability so the small ship suited me as I cannot cope with the large ships anymore,

I had booked an excursion and P & O could have given me more information because I found out that I could take my rollator on the tender but not on the coach. They told me I had to do a step test to prove I could get on the tender but forgot to mention that I had to go down 15 steps to get to the tender. As we did not get off none of this mattered but I have written to them about the lack of information.

The entertainment was good, there was an excellent rock and roll band who were very talented musicians,

    The food was ok.

Our balcony cabin was also ok, did not like the configuration very much and did not like the fact I had to climb into the bath to have a shower, very difficult for me.

Word of warning: Be aware that our cabin 103 on deck 10 was next to the Piano suite and was occupied by someone who could not play the piano. It drove me mad so I turned the sound on the TV to 35 and that stopped the piano racket instantly
