Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Pass By: BahnhofCity Wien Hauptbahnhof, Vienna Austria

The tour meeting point is Vienna's main railway station, where we first meet and then board a train southwards (approx 30 minutes) towards to the Vienna Woods.

Pass By: Beethovenhaus Baden, Rathausgasse 10, Baden 2500 Austria

We then begin our hike in the lovely spa town of Baden, once a favourite country retreat of Beethoven. We meander through the classic 'Biedermeier' village centre and its gorgeous parks before hiking along forest trails towards a magnificent elevated viewpoint which overlooks the Vienna basin & Wienerwald in all directions. This spot alone is a photographer's dream!

Stop At: Gumpoldskirchen, 8783, Austria

We then enter the vineyard landscape, wandering through row upon row of lush green vines. As reward for our efforts, we'll take a break sat among the vines, for an open-air wine tasting at a local producer (summer). We then continue to the picturesque wine village of Gumpoldskirchen to have lunch at one of its traditional Austrian wine taverns (and in winter, also a wine tasting). Once fully recharged, you may consider a quick visit to the village wine museum in your free time.

Our second wine tasting takes place at one of the village's finest producers and is led by a local winemaker. This tasting also includes a fascinating guided visit to their wine cellar, showcasing the centuries old traditions of Austrian wine making.

The tour ends with a short train ride back to the city centre. You'll arrive to your hotel in plenty of time to freshen up before dinner, the opera, the theatre, or the concert! Whichever it is, you'll sleep well that night!

We had the best experience with James yesterday and we can’t get over how much fun we had. James took us to the thermal region of southwest Austria and we had the most authentic experience. There is no way that we would have ever been able to do this on our own. We started out

I had a memorable day on this wine tour. The scenery was excellent and really varied (especially from the lookout point which in itself is a very impressive structure). The wine tasting with the other guests was, as you'd expect, very pleasant and civilised (!) and it was

Hi Tim! We had a very fun day together and once again I thank you for joining. I'm particularly glad that you mention meeting the winemakers as one of the highlights, as that is exactly what we pride ourselves on with this wine tour - being able to speak directly with local specialists to not only learn about what makes the wines of the Thermal Region so unique, but also to better understand the trials and tribulations of a life devoted to wine making. I look forward to seeing you again soon in Austria!

We had a great hike in the woods to a look out tower. Then we hiked out of the woods to the vineyards. We wine tasted in the middle of the vineyards. Then walked to the town for lunch and more wine tasting. Very fun

Thanks for the lovely feedback. I really enjoyed chatting with you both and I reckon we were lucky to have such a lovely overall dynamic in our group that morning. All the best with your next move, and I hope to see you again if you're ever back in Vienna - James

During a visit to Vienna with friends last summer, we booked a day trip to bicycle through the Wachau Wine Valley and stop at several wineries for tastings. We also stopped at a lovely little village for lunch. From the beginning of the tour, James was helpful, knowledgeable,
