The Walking tour was great. Our guide was very knowledgeable, easy-going, joked around and connected with every traveler in the group.

Deter was an amazing tour guide ! I learned a lot and loved all the places. I recommend for everyone that likes history !!!!

Firstly, our tour guide Allesandra was amazing, very informative and knowledgeable, and our rating does not reflect her effort. The tour was seriously overcrowded to the point of being dangerous. Tickets had all been sold out in advance, and we found ourselves backed up behind multiple tours ahead of us. Several times we had to wait in small dark corridors with no light, little air, no seating, and no room to move. Visitors who were not in tour groups were (understandably) frustrated with all the hold ups and were pushing by, which added to the overall sense of claustrophobia. If someone had been taken ill I dread to think how long it would have taken for assistance. Added to that we didn't find the state apartments that impressive - we have certainly seen far more impressive rooms in any number of English Stately homes and French Chateau. We were very relieved to eventually escape from the building and would not wish this horrible experience on anyone.

Really interesting and informative we learnt so much! I could have kept listening to Stefan explain things for another few hours!

Great tourist guide, very knowledgeable and fun. Highly recommend hiring this agency to enjoy a tour in Vienna. We enjoyed almost 3 hours walking around the city center.

A good tour guide makes all the difference, and I can say without any reservation that Dieter is a fantastic tour guide. I've had some underwhelming experiences with large-group tours, so when I saw how large the group was, and that they were distributing listening devices, I was concerned. But this was one of the best tours, and surely the best large group tour, that I've been on. Dieter was knowledgeable, insightful, patient, and funny. His patience was particularly notable. Despite the large size of the group, he took time to answer everyone's questions, and made sure the whole group got to hear the questions and answers. Unlike my typical experience with large group tours, he never rushed us. And he was even able to provide us with short restroom breaks and the chance to warm up inside on a very cold day. Dieter presented a nuanced picture of historical events. He was careful to distinguish between fact, evidence, theory, and rumor. He did not shy away from acknowledging the role that Austria played in the crimes of the NSDAP. The focus on the Austrian & Viennese perspective meant that even my German partner, who has a great deal of knowledge on the subject, learned a lot from the tour. Dieter was also able to tie the events and lessons of history back to the present, which (in my opinion) is a critical, but sometimes under-valued, aspect of the study of history. Thank you to Dieter for providing us with an outstanding experience.

Wolfgang was an informative and interesting tour guide. It was an eye opening experience about Vienna’s history. Don’t miss this walking tour but wear lots of warm clothing as it was freezing cold.

Excellent background information supplied by our guide Wolfgang, interesting walk around the memories of Hitler and how he changed from a left wing to a right wing dictator. Vienna’s reminder to future generations of this tragic event.

This is a great tour to take while you’re in Vienna. You get a good story, by a knowledgeable guide, as you wander around a few of the significant sites of the city. Our guide taught us about Hitler’s origins in Vienna, and Austria’s entry into the war. We were informed and entertained. The departure point is on the Albertina side of the road (not the Cafe Mozart side)

It’s so beautiful that you must visit once in a lifetime and luxurious city but it’s cold in winter so prepare well if you are during the winter season

Skip the line is a great way to go. No fuss, no stress. I strongly recommend going early. Our tour started at 10:30 am. Lines and crowd were fine. When we left at 12:30 it was a mad house. If you have toured palaces before then you may not need to book this excursion. Every palace has about the same stuff.

Amazing knowledge and experience our tour guide was amazing and so as the history of the city The events of the time was horrific, you cannot help wonder after what pain man can endure what will give u the will to outlive the Hell.

This would have to be one of the best, most informative walking tours I have ever done! Michael (I think and hope?!) -- our tour guide -- was so warm and welcoming, and so knowledgeable about this topic. He explained the history and meaning of sites and monuments and gave insight into things I would never have learnt otherwise. The tour is about 2.5 hours and so it does take a while, but you don't feel like things are dragging on at any point because there's just so much interesting info and sites. I highly recommend!
