Six-day Vienna Pass is a steal; the others? not so sure...
Jul 2020
I got the six-day pass because there is so much to see and do in Vienna, and I did not want to be stressed out trying to decide what to squeeze into two or three days. I recommend coming to Vienna for a week, and planning out the activities so that you cover a couple of museums each day plus some other non-museum activities. If you want to visit Kunsthistorisiches, Leopold, Mumok, Albertina, Naturhistorisches, MAK, Kunst Haus, Kunst Halle, Haus der Musik, and some of the many more obscure museums (Globe, Esperanto, Papayrus, Dom, Kaiser Wagen, the list goes on and on...), you will absolutely save money with this pass because the entrance fees are steep in Vienna. Add on to that Hoffburg, Schonbrun Grand Tour, River Cruise, Mozart Haus, Donauturm, Ring Tram, Tiergarten, etc., and the Vienna pass ends up being a TOTAL BARGAIN. My only caveat is that the Hop on and Hop off bus is not a true source of transportation, as there are hardly any stops (and only two lines running right now, because of Covid). Instead, plan your trip to arrive on Sunday, and buy the Wien transport one week pass (only 17 euros), which starts at midnight on Monday and ends the next Monday at 9am. That is what you really need. The "hop-on, hop-off" in this city is currently something of a joke. Otherwise, the six-day Vienna Pass is a great program.

We ordered this on-line and collected it from the office, opposite the Opera House. Fast friendly service, don't forget to take your passport or coy of it!

We visited places we probably would usually visit, e.g. madam tussouds to escape from the rain and ended up really enjoying it. The Hop on/off bus service worked perfectly for us

Well worth the money and avoids waiting in queues.

3 day pass, 2 ppl, 109 euros saved
This was for starters a good saving for us, Secondly it gave us good access to everything we wanted to go to with out worry or hassle and thirdly really helpful for planning our week as it focused us and gave good information on what things there were to do and where they were.

To get a full 5 from me it could improve by dropping the river cruise (it's terrible) and two adding the Time Travel Vienna which was the only thing we paid for and loved.

Vienna pass is fantastic. Everything worth seeing was included, tram, bus, boat the lot.
Got us to the front of the queue on most attractions.
Totally worth it and a fantastic time saver.

This is the best option to see everything.
Its great value and it means you can go into attractions look at what you want then leave with out feeling like you're wasting your money.
At some attractions you need to validate the ticket but at others you just walk in.
Its very good.

Convenient but poorly timed
We used the Hop On Hop Off bus as part of our 3 day Vienna Pass. While the pass is handy, especially in the colder months (we visited in January), the routes available are not timed to work with each other or the ring tram (also part of the Vienna Pass), which only has 1 stop where you can get on/off and runs every half hour, however the buses don't arrive at the tram stop in time.

The green line (Grinzing) also has very limited times during the week, which isn't particularly obvious from the timetable.

Definitely worth the investment
Dec 2019
We purchased the 3-day pass for our 7 day stay in Vienna and easily recouped our investment with the attraction entry fees and the use of the Hop On/Hop Off bus. The pass must be picked up in person and that was little difficult because the address sent on the Email was an outdated address (I deducted 1 star for that aggravation). The office moved a few months ago. Get a verbal confirmation for the pickup address! Be aware that you need to get in line at Schönbrunn and the Spanish Riding School for a paper voucher, even with the Vienna Pass.
