    massive rip off
Absolutely do not recommend. I paid 44 euro for the Flexi pass with two visits and it failed to scan after one use. It would have cost 22 euro to buy a ticket on the door. A huge, huge waste of money and the people at the ticket offices can't help as it's not their pass system. Do not recommend. Also, at Schonnbrunn Palace you only get a short tour using the pass rather than the full entry - really a rip off in every way.

Bad service Hop on Hop off
The Flexi pass worked for us in a couple of places where we didn´t need to wait in line. In the rest of the attractions there were not so many people. However, the Hop on Hop off service was very bad. The drivers are not friendly, the first day we lost two hours on the wrong bus, they make two 15 minutes stops on each route, they park in the sun and if you don't want to lose your place you must resist. Unlike other countries, in Vienna the bus does not have air conditioning down stairs, and they are not clean.

    Worst Experience with Vienna Pass
We had the worst experience using this pass which was not cheap as we paid $268 for 2 people. I highly recommend people not to waste money. All we had was bad experience. We were only able to use it for Schoenbrunn Palace. We took a Yellow Hop on Hop off from Vienna Opera House and picked up our ticket there. On the way back we took Yellow HOHO again and dropped at the Belvedere Museum 21. After visiting it, we came out to get the bus which was scheduled to come at 2.50Pm I think according to the brochure. The bus never came , we waited in the cold until 3.20PM and took a taxi back. The offered Bus service is a joke, so unreliable, no schedule is followed. After that none of the activities were available as they were all booked and we could not use this Pass for anything. Such a wastage of money. Even the other red HOHO refused the Pass, which was so confusing. Never advise anyone to buy this, just be forewarned. I would rather pay for each place that was available to attend than wasting money on this pass that promised a lot but delivery was almost nothing. We just paid $ 268 for a single activity that is to visit Schoebrunn palace..what a rip-off it is!!!

Don’t waste your money on this pass
So initially if everything was open allowing you to fully use this pass then it might be worth it however on this occasion this was not the case. Also we noticed that most of the attractions were not marketed properly as we didn’t know if the pass was actually correct for the attraction as nothing was mentioned in the attraction. 3 days cost £240 for 2 people We calculated that we would have used max 120 euros for both of us. The best thing was the zoo but most other attractions for example the transport museum, the Danube boat ride, the castle was closed. Lots of wasted travelling has we known these were closed. Easier to just pay and plan this way especially when you can but a Vienna travel pass for 30 euros each which come with lots of discounts and lasts for 72 hours.

Worth It But Plan Well, Crosscheck Hours, Apps Need Improvement and Planning Tools
This was worth it for us, but you need both endurance and planning to get your money's worth. First, wake up as early as you can! Second, ger a WienMobil pass with it, get around most places by train (except for the castles), but you still need to calculate time each thing takes vs transport time. For example, anything near schonbrun palace, plan a day for that. Plan earliest morning for Belvidere, plan something then later in the city but again check closure times! Some things need to book ahead like Sparkling wine cellar tour. And always check websites directly for hours, vienna pass website isn't always good with updating. But if you plan it right you can save 100 + EUROS easily.

    not worth it!
we got the 4 visits pass, we really had to do our sums to get any value from this pass and even then managed to save only a few euros... conclusion...not worth it! another tip avoid the danube cruise at all cost, it was one of the more expensive "visit" on the pass but a total waste of time.

Pass was worthwhile but bus was disappointing.
We got some value out of the pass at the palace and museums. Did the included hop on/hop off but the audio guide was terrible. More awful accordion music than useful information. Don’t get caught on the blue line - it is endless.

    Be prudent with its use
I bought a vienna flexi pass from the information centre near Albertina. The sales staff doesn’t explain you properly how to use this and compare it with other pass. Would’ve used it better with some guidance/ tips.( I say this comparison with the Prague city pass, for which I was guided sufficiently and did not waste my money) With this pass, I wasted my money, more so because the staff at hop on hop off bus cheated me for their ticket!!z Buy this pass only if you are ‘very’ sure of your schedule and visit. If you are going to change, you may end up losing euros on this, with no help from the sales staff

    Don’t waste your money
We purchased the multi-pass before out trip but at the sites we realized most still require you to wait in line to get a printed ticket. So not sure what value this provides. Also at Hofburg the tickets did not work and they sent us to the main Vienna Pass office. We spent way too much time trying to determine why the pass did not work on the attraction scanners. Since you need to wait in line anyways just purchase at the site directly.

Good value and most places were accommodating
The pass is great nut the Spanush Riding School could improve their entry system. Had to queue and then told we had to exchange pass for tickets. all quite frustrating.

A must have for Vienna visitors
If you plan to move around with your family and use the Shuttles, this is an excellent choice. This avoids paying too much at the counter. The booking system is less intuitive and outdated but in overall the experience is good

    Highly Recommend
This is well needed in Vienna. It makes all the difference as you can skip certain queues, it has the majority of sites and it is cheaper than if you were to pay for them all yourself. Recommend this highly for your trip to Vienna!

    Value for money
We bought the 2 day pass to visit the attractions with the pass and recouped our money . Do not be tempted by the River cruise . It was a waste of an hour sitting on a boat with no scenery to see apart from a waste incineration plant.

We ordered this on-line and collected it from the office, opposite the Opera House. Fast friendly service, don't forget to take your passport or coy of it!

We visited places we probably would usually visit, e.g. madam tussouds to escape from the rain and ended up really enjoying it. The Hop on/off bus service worked perfectly for us

Well worth the money and avoids waiting in queues.

Before buying the pass I'd recommend doing your research and working out what you'll be doing over how many days. We were in Vienna for 6 full days so bought the 6 day pass, we visited attractions every day but did not exhaust ourselves trying to squeeze too much in. We used the pass at 1, 2 or 3 places per day, depending how big they were. We used the bus on 4 of the days. Overall we saved 70 euros by having the pass, not the massive savings they'd have you expect. Massive savings can only be made if you pack in a lot of attractions every day. We saw enough to be able to enjoy them without being exhausted. Take the hot weather into account too, you might do things more slowly, so less can be fitted in.

Don't believe all the hyped up prices they (and other reviewers) tell you you'll be avoiding. For example the zoo costs €24 per adult, not the 50 I read here. So you don't save as much as you might think. The only reason we made the 70€ saving was through using the hop on hop off bus which is the most expensive thing. If we hadn't used the hop on bus we'd have lost a lot of money in buying the pass.

Also you can get combo tickets from the museums and Palaces which save you money in other ways. So I'd say be prepared, know what you want to do and work out the difference for your own itinerary.

In a way I regret buying the pass because I felt pressured to keep using it to make sure we got our money's worth, which did make for a less leisurely holiday than I'd wanted. Its worth it if you're going to see about three attractions per day and use the hop on bus to get everywhere. Also don't just use the bus for the tour, get one of the other walking tours, much more interesting and personal. The tour on the earphones on the bus is quite boring. My teen stopped listening quite quickly.

We purchased the 3-day pass for our 7 day stay in Vienna and easily recouped our investment with the attraction entry fees and the use of the Hop On/Hop Off bus. The pass must be picked up in person and that was little difficult because the address sent on the Email was an outdated address (I deducted 1 star for that aggravation). The office moved a few months ago. Get a verbal confirmation for the pickup address! Be aware that you need to get in line at Schönbrunn and the Spanish Riding School for a paper voucher, even with the Vienna Pass.

My friend and I got the 1-day Vienna pass, which ended up being a waste of money.

When we went to the tourist info to collect the cards, we asked some questions about the sights that could be visited and the opening times/service times. Not only were we given the wrong schedules (obviously, pretending that certain services would be on the go until later than they really are); but in addition we weren't told that the equestrian place wouldn't take visitor at the weekend, that the national library was closed till December or that you won't get a chance to do the opera house tour unless previously booked online. All of these being obviously places we wanted to visit.

Basically, we were able to do only 2 things with our 'splendid' 1-day Vienna Pass!! To visit the Sisi museum/palace (priced €16) and go on the river Danube boat (priced €27). Keeping in mind that we paid €76 for that stupid pass, that we were given lots of wrong information and that you only have 8 hours to really visit places, all we can say is that we highly recommend NOT to buy it.

It's convient and worth the money because you get a lot for your money once you spend a good amount of time in the city I don't think it would be good to do a 1 day package. I did a 2 day tour and hop on hop off bus tour included which is great because you can look it up and decided in advance what attractions you need to see over others. I'm glad I did the package because the staff at the office are friendly and professional and I would have spent more money doing it on my own with cash to each attraction.

We purchased the Vienna Pass 24h ticket thinking this was a good option to see the attractions. However, there is way too much traffic in Vienna to make this a good option. Most of your tour time is spent on the bus getting between the attractions. We thought we would be able to do 3 may be 4 in a day, we ended up doing 2 and then we had to rush back from the second attraction to get the last bus back to the hotel at 5.30pm. What also doesn't help is that the service (the first bus) doesn't start until 9.30am, so time is a wasting! The bus seats were very uncomfortable for these long journeys, the buses were dirty, old and smelly. The staff were very miserable and when we asked any questions it was definitely too much trouble for them to answer. There was no information screen on the bus to show when you were coming up to a stop or what attraction was at that stop, so I had to keep referring to the paper map, which by the end of the day was falling apart. Trying to see the map on the mobile phone was not great either as it was very small print, zooming in and out is OK but you don't get a good overview of the journey doing that. There was an audio commentary that you could listen to in lots of different languages. You could also use the live bus tracking website which showed you when a bus was going to arrive at the bus stop you were waiting at, this was useful. I would not recommend this way of seeing Vienna, I think its better to use the local bus and/or underground services and decide which attractions you want to see before you travel. For most of the attractions you can get your tickets online beforehand, so you know how much you are spending before you even get there, this also helps with queueing to get tickets and finding out that it is fully booked when you turn up that day.

When I booked this ticket we were not advised that the buses would only be running until 2.45 pm due to the Vienna Marathon taking place. We only had 2 to 3 hours worth of sightseeing. Whilst it was enjoyable it was certainly not value for money. If we had known the buses were not running properly we would have used alternative transport. We use the sightseeing buses every time we do a city break and have to say this was the worst experience

This is the best option to see everything.
Its great value and it means you can go into attractions look at what you want then leave with out feeling like you're wasting your money.
At some attractions you need to validate the ticket but at others you just walk in.
Its very good.

Vienna pass is great as you can visit most museums free of charge, do not need to make the queue and you do not need to think whether or not you would go for it as prices for individual museums are quite expensive: In 3 days we did the hop on hop off, Danau canal tour, Hundertwasser, Schönbrunn (all), Belvedere, Albertina, Weltmuseum, Sissi museum and apartments, St Stephan church and Kunsthistorisches Museum. If paid individually it would have costed us much more. It seems a lot in 3 days, but then when you do not need to queue and stay as long as you want for the visit, it is really worthwhile. We then recommend to combine it with the 3-day pass for public transport which has a very dense netowork and the hop on hop off is really worthwhile only for the 1st day and may be to go to Schönbrunn and Belvedere.

It is not worth buying the Vienna Pass, besides very expensive, I paid about R$800.00 to enjoy 48 hours of services offered, the same does not give access to all attractions. First of all, I will talk about the Schonbrunn Palace: by arriving there, the ticket was limited to a short tour of the palace rooms, with only 4 rooms, which does not provide a complete experience as the pass offers. Second, the panoramic train that gives access to the buildings of the complex did not work until the end of the day as stated in the itinerary, in case the train was to operate until 18:15h (last scheduled time in the planner) and worked only until 14:30h. They placed a warning at the stops of the train informing that the same was no longer available, which made it difficult to locate between the buildings of the complex, because they are all very far away and we had to walk absurdly. In addition to this panoramic train, the other train that works inside the zoo part was also not available, we did not use because we did not at least see it. All this delayed and very much our visit to the complex of the Schonbrunn Palace, given that it is enormous and goes quite well between one point and another. Outside this disturbance, the bus that makes the tour of the city has several lines of difficult understanding, taking too long on the route, especially from the blue route, with irrelevant and long "tourist points"; the audio guide is weak, does not have many explanations about the city and more, the bus does not circulate through the streets of the center of Vienna, which makes it difficult to access many tourist points, because they are located in the middle of the center and the bus does not reach them, we have to walk a lot to get to them. Given that we saw several other buses from other companies stop at these same tourist sites, we realized that only the Vienna Pass did not make such stops. The result: we were unable to take advantage of the tickets from the various museums offered in the Vacation Package of the Vienna Pass, because the logistics does not make it easy to use them, the bus delays on the route, we had to walk and much to the museums, which made us waste a lot of time on foot and besides we were extremely tired. I do not indicate this pass in any way, I have already made others in other cities and it was not that way, the Vienna Pass was a big problem.
