About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- befferj0 contributionsGreat experience! Our tour guide, Clara, was amazing! Interesting and informative. The only thing I would say is to make sure everyone in your group pays for the sane wine flight. It can get confusing when different people get different types of wine.Written June 22, 2024
- RobertR4020 contributionsVery Worthwhile TourVery interesting tour of beautiful facility by well-informed, professional guide. Oh, and the sample was tasty, too!Written January 21, 2024
- Wanderer686999921310 contributionsGreat Self Guided Tour, Vienna Pass RecommendedI absolutely had no interest in Sparkling wine, but do appreciate the craft that goes behind it, and get the tastes now. This was a great self guided tour, they use what seems like an older (and very manual) technique, and also one of the oldest underground cellars in the country.Written October 30, 2023
- clartemide30 contributionsBel posto, brutta gestioneWe suggest to admit less people for each time tour. There was a group about 40 people in the same time with about 10 couple visiting. It was impossible having some talk with the waitress about wines we tasted. Neither of the waitress talken us about wines, just the name. Such a pity! Beautiful places, audio-guide is good but too much people in the same place at the same time. (only form, without essence)Written December 31, 2022
- Tamfarrell0 contributionsMagical experienceThe whole experience was fantastic. Beautiful wine in a stunning setting. We had no idea from the main door what lay behind - wonderful!Written November 28, 2022
- Cocoxocoo0 contributionsWonderful activityWow- what an amazing experience. I did the self guided classic tasting tour which Included 3 different sparkling wines. The cellar itself is beautiful and bigger than expected. The Audio is interesting and fun without giving too much information (you listen to it as you walk around the cellar) I had a lovely walk around listening and reading the information and then finished with the tasting. The staff were lovely. Would definitely recommend!Written November 27, 2022
- Z8312IDkimn0 contributionsGreat timeVery beautiful place. I’m not a fan of Audio tours and would have preferred a guided tour , so I stopped listening after the first few but there is PLENTY of boards you can read. Great price for tour and samples. We were impressed. Definitely worth going.Written November 26, 2022
- 53jamip0 contributionsA must do!This tour is a must! Very rich in culture. The champagne is amazing. We are bringing a bottle home! I would recommend to any adult wanting to try something new.Written November 26, 2022
- DaniZ8080 contributionsPlace for wine loversA total blaze of style and bubbles and some history. If you want to try one of the Austrian famous sparkling wine this is a place.Written October 17, 2022
- Mafaldampr0 contributionsHidden gem in Vienna, a must-see for wine loversWe joined the 2pm English tour on Saturday (08/02) and it was an amazing experience. The cellars are very beautiful and well taken care of. Our guide was great at explaining everything and very charming! We opted for the Connaisseur Tasting after the tour , all sparkling wines were delicious ! We bought some at the store to take to our hotel. Recommend 100%Written February 9, 2020
- kev a0 contributionsGreat insight into ChampagneA great value audio tour with lots of info about Austrian sparkling wines....we had the taster ticket which gave us 5 glasses of varying styles of wine.....fantastic value and very well presented.....very friendky staff too.Written December 14, 2019
- foxyfoxholes0 contributionsGood Tour, very well presentedYou walk around the cellars with an audio guide, which is nice. You're not in a group and can go at your own pace. The audio guide is easy to use and clearly signposted at each stop. The cellars are immaculate and very easy to walk around. You are guided through the history of the 'house' and how they make wine in the Champagne method. The tour finishes off with one or five glasses to taste, depending on which is your preference. A really good hour or so in total and easy to find just off the UndergroundWritten July 9, 2019
- akaHedgehog0 contributionsBeautiful and informativeWhat a lovely place to spend and hour, we had a self guided tour which worked brilliantly, the 300 year old cellar was spectacular and the wine was beyond delicious, obviously we bought some to take away as well and it was exceptionally well priced and the truffles are rich and Devine.Written April 13, 2019
- essexalison0 contributionsSomething a bit differentVisited whilst on our first trip to Vienna. Lovely find which made a change from the usual tourist spots. Very informative and interesting tour even if you’re not a champagne fan. We were lucky enough to have the place more or less to ourselves. We were glad we had made the effort, as others have said it is a little bit out of the way.Written November 25, 2018
- joemY3087XB0 contributionsInformative stop and good sparkling winesHad the Vienna pass and we were looking for some wine as we had been drinking beer for for last 6 days. We stopped in here and glad we did! We did a nice tour of the facilities with audio guide and then tasted some of there sparkling wines. You recurve do one complimentary taste and then we bought a few more. The tour was very informative about the history and making of sparkling wines in Austria. I would defineatly recommend this winery to anyone who likes wine.Written November 3, 2018

A whole different experience, I noticed this wine cellar in a tourist brochure, I visited in a hurry but this was really worth visiting. As a wine lover, I felt something like home surrounded by all these spirits ageing. After the tour I tasted two different sparkling wine. My only personal complaint is that due to business obligations I wanted more time to spend. For the next time but either way the experience was truly amazing.

Located 5 minutes by walk from the Spittelau metro station (exit Heiligenstädter strasse). Different tickets depending on the wine tasting at the end of the path. The most expensive one costs 20 € including 3 glasses (1 classic + 2 reserve). Impressioning environment and nice explanations through the audioguide if you are wine passionate. The path lasts one hour and you have to consider the time for the tasting since the place closes at 18:00.

We were looking for something different in Vienna, and found the Schlumberger Wine Cellar tour.
You receive an Apple I phone which plays the audio tour in the language of your choice. The audio tour contains many chapters, and is detailed in its description.
To be honest, there is not much to see besides many cellars containing champagne wine bottles in maturation, but this is not a negative comment.
At the conclusion of the tour, you get to taste 3 different samples of champagne wine, all with generous portions.
The Schlumberger Wine Cellars are very easy to get to on the U4 subway line, with a 5 minute walk afterwards.
If you are tired of visiting palaces and museums, then do go to the Schlumberger Wine Cellars tour.

We took the actual live tour and it was really enchanting. The young guide - who also served us at the bar together with a colleague - was really enthusiastic about Schlumberger and that gave a nice extra flavour to the tour. The stories told and the details about Schumberger production processes have been most informative. The finale at the Schlumberger Bar was definitly sparkling !

We did the audioguided tour with tasting (3 wines). Tour was very informative and we both liked it very much. The atmosphere is nice. Tasting was little rushed and didn’t give too much information about the wines. Wines though were very nice. Maybe they could give more info on how to use the audioguide and a map of the cellars and the route to follow. Many people including us were a little lost at some point

The audio tour was very informative. You could go at your own pace and read all the signs and look at the pictures and examples without a group of people around you. There is one long staircase to navigate but it does have a railing. Bring a sweater as it is quite cool in there. Definitely taste the sparkling, it is yummy!

We loved the self guided tour, and found it really interesting to go at our own pace.
It was very informative, and well presented.
We also loved our tasting at the end!
The woman who 'greeted us' and poured our wines was obviously having a bad day as she was curt, abrupt, and appeared to have been tasting vinegar with wasps in. She had the customer service skills of a honeybadger.
The young man was as contrasting as it was possible to be, with a genuine nature and a friendly attitude.
Would highly recommend the Cellar but perhaps take a bribe or at least brace yourself with some thermals for the 'welcome'.

Really enjoyed this tour - we went for the Rose tour at €18 each. Audio tours in various languages available (we had English). Tour is about 60mins and self guided. Very interesting, combining the history of the company with insight into the methods used to make sparkling wine. This is topped off by three samples of the wine in the bar afterwards. Would recommend for adult couples / groups.

We took the Sparkeling wine toor with the NÖ card. As such we found the tour to be quite pleasant. We were a large group and at times it was a little difficult to listen to the guide, but the tour was very interesting and informative on the "devil's wine".

The tour was ok - less than I expected. We learned about the Methode traditonelle, but that was about it. Very little history, nothing about the current business. The tour took about 40 minutes, it was very crowded and the staff hence a bit harsh.
The Sekt is very nice though…

I checked with the Keller and this is their response
Good afternoon,
“The tour can be done as well under 18 years - but no tasting.”
