The string quartet were incredible and the performance was something to remember and so lovely to share with my fiancé. However, the reason this is 4/5 is the seating was horrendous. As it is in a cathedral, you are seated on very VERY uncomfortable pews. I was actually in pain by the midway point. It is so unfortunate as the concert itself was amazing, and the players were so passionate and well rehearsed. Just a shame about the seating.Written December 29, 2023

The church was freezing cold, we had to wear our coats while watching the concert. We booked front row seats but as we arrived 15 min earlier, we were seated at the side. The seats were uncomfortable. The ensemble executed the musical pieces flowlessly but without spirit or gusto. The church atmosphere helped a lot to oversee it. The selection of pieces was nice. We think that it was a little overpriced and a kind of tourist attraction. If you want to experience real Vienna, maybe you should try something else, but you have to visit this church definively.

Was at this concert tonight. The church is beautiful inside and you can take photos inside right up until the concert starts. there were 4 musicians and they were fabulous. If I can offer one piece of advice its that if you buy the middle priced tickets (44 euro) then you have to be there as early as possible or you cannot be guaranteed a view. I actually couldn’t see a thing tonight as there were some people in front of me that were very tall and one guy looked like he was as wide as he was tall. So I looked at the statues for the entire concert. Once you arrive you are seated in the section you booked in no particular order, so I’d recommend getting there early. Otherwise it’s a lovely experience in a beautiful setting.

We found it difficult to locate the church. We entered
a very full church and had to accept low height chairs that did not provide a good view. But, we were late, so it was our issue.
The music was soothing and good, I must say I am not a classical music affacinado. An enjoyable experience. I was surprised to note that tickets were priced about EUR 10 less on your website, than what we had paid. Do you not adjust if the charge was higher. I discovered the difference only after the 24 hr cancellation window had expired.
The church is magnificent and seeing it at night while exhilarating music was being played, was worthwhile and then some. This was the highlight and we are glad we chose to attend.
It was pouring with rain and getting a taxi at the entrance was impossible. We were compelled to walk to the metro station, and were drenched. There was no access to a rest room.
Should you have the inclination and the time, this is a good option to enjoy the ambience and seen the church in its majesty, while listening to good music.

Excellent performance by 3 violinists and 1 cellist
1 hour and a little more of classical music
Perfect for people who like to enjoy overtures and allegros
The scenario is great since it is the st Peter's church (I recommend visiting before the concert)
Acoustics are magnificent
The difference in price is more if you like to see the performance closer. The acoustic is pretty much the same in all ticket classes.
Totally recommended

What a great concert. Don't know classical music very well but this experience was enchanting and engaging. The young musicians were clearly enjoying them selves and the hour went very quickly. St Peters church is stunning and really felt like we were experiencing something very special.

Absolutely beautiful venue at the church, 4 piece string quartet put on a good performance and it didn't over extended itself at being an hour long, it felt just right to me. The seat are the pews with a thing cushion. Entering and exiting was easy, would go again.

Great string quartet concert in a beautiful church. We purchased the slightly more expensive tickets which meant we had a better view of the performance. We were asked to turn our phones off which was appreciated as it meant distractions were reduced and we could just focus on the concert. A child in a pushchair was allowed into the performance. They seemed to sleep throughout, only stirring once, so did not massively impact the event. I was however surprised there wasn’t a minimum age for the performance.

We booked this concert as part of our 4 day visit to Vienna as it was reasonably priced and had been recommended by friends. Our hotel receptionist subsequently informed us we had chosen the best one, rather than those being touted by vendors in the main squares.
St Peter’s Church is conveniently situated in the heart of old Vienna in a largely pedestrianised area. It is not a big church, albeit lavishly decorated inside, and as a result can only accommodate limited numbers.
The concert itself was superb, with the musicianship of the quartet outstanding. Two violins, cello and viola/violin covering an excellent variety of classical passages by renowned composers such as Vivaldi, Mozart and (inevitably) Strauss. As one would imagine, the seating was essentially provided by pews so the hour’s duration of the concert was just about right from a comfort perspective.

Amazing way to start the new year! The location is absolutely amazing and it is so good that the church is quite small and intimate. The performers were incredible, you could see how passionate they were and how they felt and lived the music.

If you visit here at 3pm you can pay a donation and enjoy a 30 min organ recital. Very atmospheric! Beautiful church and the sun shining through the windows creates fabulous light shafts in the church.

We are taking a Viking Cruise in September and interested in this Concert. How far away from the Viking Ship dock is this located and will we be able to find a form of transportation to the Church?

Get the Viking concierge to book your taxi for one hour before the concert begins. It cost us 22.50 Euros to get there, and 25.00 Euros to get back to the Viking docks.

I don't recall, other than they do state that infants must sit on adult lap. I would say it's more about those around you, if the wee one is quiet / sleeping no one will care.

Hello music lovers :-) . How long time before is advisable to arrive to be sure you have good places ? . And you wait in a cue and enter few minutes before or access is permitted even long time before, once you arrived ? . Thanks for sharing

We arrived 30 minutes before the concert started. They have volunteers to seat you. I purchased the tickets through Viator. There was no seat assignment on our ticket. We were escorted to front row seats. It was an incredible concert. Bring a jacket. It's very cold inside the cathedral. The music was so moving and beautiful that my husband and I had tears in our eyes.
