- deanlP2680RC00Great day, well worth the travel. My husband and I had a wonderful day..albeit a long day but worth every wonderful memory. Dasha our tour guide was aaaaamazing...so interesting, I think we learnt more from her than we did when we were in class years ago..haha. Thank you from 2 happy Australian travellers.
- Sergio G00Great experience and fun activityDasha provided a great experience on that tour. She is knowledgeable about Vienna and Austria and has a great entertaining spirit. The ride itself is comfortable and met our expectations. You should expect : - delicious food during stop overs; - beautiful views from the bus on the way to the destination; - whole day trip from 8am to 9pm; - some walking at Hallstatt. Bring comfortable shoes; - mountain roads. If you suffer from dizziness bring some pills; - 6-7h bus ride. Overall we would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see the beauty of Hallstatt while having a great and fun experience in between.
- niranjanab201400the highlight of our tourDasha our tour guide was so informative. then drive to Hallstatt is a beauty in itself surrounded by alps and the lakes and the town itself is such a beauty. pictures don't do it justice. wish we could spend more time there.must visit
- V7723TSdebbiet00Hallstatt is beautiful.Dasha was a very good tour guide. The bus ride was very long with a full day of 13 hours, most of it being on the bus. About 3 hours in Hallstatt which is absolutely beautiful.
- 649annijas00My trip to HallstattWe had great trip and experience to Hallstatt. The guide Sofia was excellent, she made sure that everyone was on the bus. Sofia told during our journey a lot of history, interesting things about Austria, she was very nice and helpful girl. We are very satisfied with my son with this journey. Thank you so much Sofia and driver. Driver also seemed very professional with good driving skills.
- binithak202300AmazingReally good! We were blessed with great weather, it was so beautiful. It is a long drive but Sofia and Daniel were amazing. Sofia was full of knowledge and tips. Very nice experience.
- stephenmN3504RK00Wonderful Day Trip to HallstattThe trip was exactly as advertised and very enjoyable! Our guide, Sophia, was very friendly and knowledgeable. Hallstatt was beautiful and made for a very relaxing afternoon including the stunning vistas from the Skywalk and lakeside terrace dining.
- justinj43400Brilliant Vienna tour.Excellent day made beautiful by our tour guide Sophie. Complete knowledge on Austrian history and awesome people skills.
- BRLAAdventurer00A wonderful alpine village experienceWonderful experience..... Dasha, the tour guide was excellent. The only slight negative was the weather was not the best. Light rain and cool. However, that is hard to predict and should not discourage anyone from booking this excursion. The Alps and views of the village and lakes were incredible.
- seyedmojtabah45300Very nice yourIt was really beautiful. The tour was great👌 You will see many beautiful places with this tours. Highly recommended
- Alycia C00Sofia is the best!Highly recommended! Our tour guide Sofia is AMAZING and made the day went smoother for everything! She was very professional, organized and informative! Loved her gentle voice narrating stories on our tour bus and helped us learn more about this beautiful country Austria. I was a little nervous going solo, but she was super helpful and made me feel at ease by the end of the trip. Thank you so much for being wonderful, Sofia!
- Europeaddict00Amazing viewsI travel a lot and see so many incredible sights but on this trip from Vienna to Hallstatt the views were beyond spectacular. Then upon arriving in the town your jaw drops every time you turn your head to look at the mountains and the lake and the town. Funiculars and skywalks are not my thing but the views draw you to them and before you know it you are on the skywalk getting that fabulous pix of your self high in the alps over the town. Dasha, our guide was great. She gave us lots of information but was lighthearted and made it fun to listen to her. She made the long bus ride comfortable and allowed lots of time to nap or just watch the scenery. Coming back she played a movie which certainly helped. I had hesitated booking due to the long bus ride but the bus was comfortable and the destination and scenery along the way worth it 2 comfort stops helps! We had enough time In Hallstatt to go to skywalk and have a nice lunch in town and take plenty of pictures
- Go4069946083100Amazing!We went for a day trip to Hallstatt, with our guide Sofia! She is very knowledgable, friendly and was helpfull during the long trip. I’ve been to many tours, but Sofia made History stories not borring or too long and complicated. The driver Daniel was the best! Great trip ❤️
- michellejudilla1600Magical Hallstatt:)It was raining when we went. Nonetheless, the place is still magical. The travel was long but the tour guide and the driver made us feel relaxed and safe all through out the journey. A few hours in Hallstatt is not enough, maybe it’s nice to stay at least overnight. All in all, the trip is highly recommended for those who are running a schedule and wants to squeeze Hallstatt in their itinerary.
- chrisjA8711MF00Thumbs up to the tour experience, didn't like the rest stopsThis tour gives you more time in Hallstatt than other similar tours, and still takes a few short breaks on the road to get there. This is a good and balanced time schedule. However do note that the rest stops (one on the way there and another on the way back) are extremely overpriced and you should bring snacks and water for the bus trip so you can avoid getting trapped into the gouge. I'm talking 10 euros for a coffee and 50 euros for a hearty meal of average quality, or thereabouts. You aren't required to spend here but if you don't come prepared you will feel hungry by the time you get to these stops. Again, bring snacks and water, there is space on the bus to store a tote bag or backpack or whatever. The funicular trip to the Skywalk is a short ride in an enclosed car that does go up a steep incline and is the only way back down to the town. If you are lightly acrophobic it is worth it, if you are very acrophobic then just stay on the ground and enjoy more time in town. Dasha was an excellent tour guide, very approachable and fun.

We had a short time in Vienna and wanted to do a day trip to Salzberg. When we arrived at the meeting point there were not enough places for the English speaking guests in the ‘minivan’ (8 people squished into a small van with blacked out windows so you wouldn’t be able to see the views anyway). They tried to force us into a private car, however we refused as we were very uncomfortable about the small private car - they had clearly overbooked and had no way of accommodating us. We then had to argue with the ‘customer service agent’ who told us things that were clearly untrue before finally they agreed to refund us. Unfortunately we missed out on our day trip to Salzburg due to the lies and incompetence of this company & their so-called 100% refund short changed me as well. More arguments to come. Never ever use this company.

Thank you for your review!
We’re deeply sorry for this unpleasant situation, however it not fully correct. Your tour to Salzburg and Alpine Lakes was organised for 11 guests by two vehicles: on a comfortable van by driver and guide (new Mercedes Vito with 8 seats for passengers) and on a limousine with driver-guide (new Mercedes E-class with 4 seats for passengers). Our guide decided to put all four English-speaking guests in one limousine for better comfort. We have to remind you, that you need a vehicle only for highway to Salzburg and back by this tour. There is no need for a vehicle by the walking tour and free time in Salzburg and by visiting lake view points. Mercedes vehicles are supposed to be the luxury level transport for regular tours in Europe. Blacked out windows are the standard by Mercedes vans and are specially designed to avoid the sun heat on the way. There is no view restriction for the passengers in the van.
Unfortunately you have refused to come with another two English-speaking guest in a private luxury car, as you thought, that it is not enough suitable for you. The guide has offered then to go by the van with the guests, who spoke other languages. You have also refused, as you didn´t want to come with another guests. Our guide has remind you that it was a regular group tour, not a private tour and we can not offer different car to your choice by group departure.
It had finally took too much time by tour departure and the other clients has started to worry about delay. The guide has understood, that she can not to change your mind, and decided to go without you, to avoid big delay.
As your limousine was finally parked in Vienna we have offered you the full refund of this tour in spite of our cancellation condition, namely “100% cancellation fee after 48 hours before departure”
It is really a pity that you have refused to go with us to Salzburg and Alpine lakes in the last minute and missed such a wonderful trip. The group was fascinated with Alpine views and professional manner of our guide in Salzburg.
Anyway thank you for you review. It will help us to find the best way to satisfy all needs of our clients.
We hope that your vacation in Vienna was generally good and you had a chance to enjoy our wonderful city.

My husband and I were booked on this tour for 23rd december. After we were picked up and taken to the central location for the tour to start, we were informed that we would be travelling by a small private car, instead of the coach/mini van that the description suggests.
After some arguments, the truth emerged. The tour 7 travel had miscalculated the number of tourists for this tour. There were 12 ppl but they had accounted for only 8 and hence had just one coach. To add to this, we were told that there is a group of 8 that require a russian guide and hence they would be travelling by the luxurious coach, while the 4 of us. My husband, me and one more couple were dumped on a hastily arranged small car, where 4 of us plus the driver and guide were expected to fit. When we asked for a refund cause we were clearly being conned, they refused saying they had arranged for a car but we were refusing to go.
After many arguements and threats from our end, they eventually agreed on a refund. We wasted an entire day in vienna not to mention the inconvenience the company caused to us and additional expenses.
We had booked this tour through Viator and i am extremely surprised that Viator has such false companies as their travel partners, whose only aim is to cheat travellers.

We enjoyed lovely weather on our trip from Vienna. We detoured through the Wachua Valley and arrived in Salzburg around noon. Our
English speaking guide, Hannah did a great job
Explaining about the city’s history. The return trip through the Austrian Alps and lakes kept our cameras busy. Highly recommended

The drive itself is a very nice, with ample stops along the way. Salzburg and history will keep you captivated. If possible plan to stay overnight to enjoy the beauty and history of the place.
