About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- I8283IHadamg0 contributionsAmazing tour and stunning placeReally excellent day. Lily was a brilliant guide with interesting information and had a perfect podcast like voice for tour guiding! Really enjoyed the day. One small frustration was not being able to sit with my wife on the way there as someone insisted on a window seat but that wasn't the fault of the tour company.Written December 2, 2024
- Alaa G0 contributionsAMAZING experience! 🥰❄️When I booked this trip I did not know what exactly to expect but thanks to the amazing team of 7 travel the trip to hallstat was amazing, lilly was our tour guide for the day, she is very friendly, very informative, provided alot of history information that made me know Vienna and Hallstat way more. Her english is very simple, and easy to understand. Timing was perfect and punctual , a gentleman came to pick me from the hotel exactly at the time provided, he came to the lobby to call our names, dropped us to the Opera area where all of the group was there and then we departed at the exact time told. Had 2 stops on our way there to Hallstat and one stop on our way back to Vienna, which was perfect to relax throughout the way. We had more than enough time there, to take pictures, explore the scenery and everything there. Even though its 1st of December, I was so hesitant to risk because of the weather, but its so good, weather was cold but bearable, just wear heavy clothes and comfortable shoes so that you’d enjoy every moment. Thank you so much for everything, 100% recommend it if you have a free day at Vienna, you won’t regret it worth every penny paid! Also great thanks to our bus driver I felt so safe during the long road! 🥰Written December 1, 2024

- haralambos240 contributionsSunny and beautifulThe Hallstatt Day Trip from Vienna with Skywalk was absolutely amazing! The town of Hallstatt is like something out of a postcard—picturesque, serene, and full of charm. The journey was smooth and well-organized, and the Skywalk offered breathtaking views of the village and the surrounding mountains. It was an unforgettable experience to stand so high above the lake and take in the beauty of the area. Our guide was fantastic, providing insightful commentary along the way. This tour was the highlight of my trip to Vienna, and I can't recommend it enough. Worth every minute and every penny!Written November 10, 2024
- 1412manishb0 contributionsAwesome HalstattFantastic Depends on weather Please check Hallstätt weather not Vienna or surrounding place. Sophia gave very good commentaryWritten November 10, 2024
- Cindyattrip0 contributionsBeautiful and amazing sceneryThe trip was well organized, our tour guide Dansha was very knowledgeable and pleasant. The views of the mountain were fantastic! But be advised it is a long day- around 13 hrs with long bus rides. We found the sound system in the bus made it difficult at times to understand what our guide was saying.Written November 5, 2024
- S8264RVjohnt0 contributionsGreat guide Dasha for Hallstatt day tripGreat guide (Dasha), armed with interesting factoids and colorful anecdotes. Nothing more to say. Really, I have nothing more to say.Written November 3, 2024
- galahad240 contributionsEnchanting Experience……My experience at Hallstatt with our tour guide Dasha had been a wonderful experience as I enjoyed the visit as I explored the Austrian Alps and distinct charm of the village. I really loved the way how Dasha informed us about the information of the locals and the history of Austria as she was very passionate about the subject and told us stories of monarchies and more etc. The tour provided us with great hospitality such as souvenirs from the salt mines as gifts and also even presented a movie for us to watch on the coach about the nature of Austria/Hallstatt (called the ‘Brothers of the wind’). Dasha taught us a lot on the location of the village told us where to go to find the great spots like restaurants etc and with great care helped us on our journey which really contributed towards my enjoyment and experience in this tour. Note only downside of the tour is long journey otherwise it worth it . recommended…...Written November 3, 2024
- 365myp0 contributionsDISGUSTING TOUR GUIDE, SOPHIA!We went on a day trip to Hallstatt from Vienna with 7travel tour. While the place is unmistakably beautiful, tourists who are Oriental, be it Chinese, Asians, SEAsians or Chinese born in US, Canada, Australia etc should avoid taking this tour. The tour guide whose name is SOPHIA is a racist. We were truly offended when she sarcastically commented " you can take any seat, BUT DON'T FIGHT" (for the seat you want) when we got on the coach implying that we are barbaric! This remark was uncalled for! We are well traveled passengers from Canada who have visited 63 countries in the world on cruise ships, land tours and road trips. SOPHIA only pay attention to the Russians!Written November 2, 2024
- Danielle G0 contributionsAmazing viewsDasha was our guide, she shared good historical info with the group and ensured we are all taken care of. Highly recommended!Written October 31, 2024

My husband and I were booked on this tour for 23rd december. After we were picked up and taken to the central location for the tour to start, we were informed that we would be travelling by a small private car, instead of the coach/mini van that the description suggests.
After some arguments, the truth emerged. The tour 7 travel had miscalculated the number of tourists for this tour. There were 12 ppl but they had accounted for only 8 and hence had just one coach. To add to this, we were told that there is a group of 8 that require a russian guide and hence they would be travelling by the luxurious coach, while the 4 of us. My husband, me and one more couple were dumped on a hastily arranged small car, where 4 of us plus the driver and guide were expected to fit. When we asked for a refund cause we were clearly being conned, they refused saying they had arranged for a car but we were refusing to go.
After many arguements and threats from our end, they eventually agreed on a refund. We wasted an entire day in vienna not to mention the inconvenience the company caused to us and additional expenses.
We had booked this tour through Viator and i am extremely surprised that Viator has such false companies as their travel partners, whose only aim is to cheat travellers.

Thank you for your review and your wish to express your disappointment with the same tour described in the previous review.
We could only repeat our answer and try to avoid such unpleasant situations in the future.
We’re deeply sorry for that, however it is not fully correct. Your tour to Salzburg and Alpine Lakes was organised for 11 guests by two vehicles: on a comfortable van by driver and guide (new Mercedes Vito with 8 seats for passengers) and on a limousine with driver-guide (new Mercedes E-class with 4 seats for passengers). Our guide decided to put all four English-speaking guests in one limousine for better comfort. We have to remind you, that you need a vehicle only for highway to Salzburg and back by this tour. There is no need for a vehicle by the walking tour and free time in Salzburg and by visiting lake view points. Mercedes vehicles are supposed to be the luxury level transport for regular tours in Europe. Blacked out windows are the standard by Mercedes vans and are specially designed to avoid the sun heat on the way. There is no view restriction for the passengers in the van.
Unfortunately you have refused to come with another two English-speaking guest in a private luxury car, as you thought, that it is not enough suitable for you. The guide has offered then to go by the van with the guests, who spoke other languages. You have also refused, as you didn´t want to come with another guests. Our guide has remind you that it was a regular group tour, not a private tour and we can not offer different car to your choice by group departure.
It had finally took too much time by tour departure and the other clients has started to worry about delay. The guide has understood, that she can not to change your mind, and decided to go without you, to avoid big delay.
As your limousine was finally parked in Vienna we have offered you the full refund of this tour in spite of our cancellation condition, namely “100% cancellation fee after 48 hours before departure”
It is really a pity that you have refused to go with us to Salzburg and Alpine lakes in the last minute and missed such a wonderful trip. The group was fascinated with Alpine views and professional manner of our guide in Salzburg.
Anyway thank you for you review. It will help us to find the best way to satisfy all needs of our clients.
We hope that your vacation in Vienna was generally good and you had a chance to enjoy our wonderful city.

We had a short time in Vienna and wanted to do a day trip to Salzberg. When we arrived at the meeting point there were not enough places for the English speaking guests in the ‘minivan’ (8 people squished into a small van with blacked out windows so you wouldn’t be able to see the views anyway). They tried to force us into a private car, however we refused as we were very uncomfortable about the small private car - they had clearly overbooked and had no way of accommodating us. We then had to argue with the ‘customer service agent’ who told us things that were clearly untrue before finally they agreed to refund us. Unfortunately we missed out on our day trip to Salzburg due to the lies and incompetence of this company & their so-called 100% refund short changed me as well. More arguments to come. Never ever use this company.
