- Mavellaneda00Unmissable for history of music in ViennaThoroughly enjoyed our tour with Annelie… she is extremely knowledgeable and can tailor the tour to your interests as well as your level of knowledge of the topic. Highly recommended! Next time, I will commission Annelie to recommend/ curate musical performances and special sights around Vienna. She’s fabulous!
- Mavellaneda00Unmissable if you love Art Nouveau! Can’t say enough great things about our Art Nouveau tour with Ilse. Her knowledge of the topic as well as her ability to put art nouveau in Vienna in the context of the political and architectural development of the time and the city was extremely informative and interesting. She also went above and beyond to show and share so many examples and interesting facts. Absolutely LOVED this tour! Wish we had arranged a similar tour with Insight Cities in Budapest as we also found beautiful art nouveau there. Also did the Vienna City of Music tour with Annelie. Insight Cities has amazing guides and very special tours… highly recommended!
- Mavellaneda00Fabulous your, super knowledgeable guideCan’t say enough about our guide Ilse. Very knowledgeable… and such a pleasure to listen to… provided great context of the history of art nouveau in Vienna relative to the political and architectural development of the city. AMAZING… don’t miss it! Start with this tour as you will want to explore even more on your own afterwards! Enjoy!
- Europe B00A wonderful tour that brought jewish Vienna to life!Annellie was a terrific guide who used stories and her knowledge of Jewish Vienna to make it alive for us. Very impressed.
- Y1734XMdenisem00A true professionalOur tour guide, Katarina, was a very informative and professional person. She took extra time to answer all of our questions so we could learn more of Vienna’s history. Knowledgeable also of world affairs. She was calm while being challenged by a person in the public domain. She did not let the rude interruption derail the rest of our tour. We would recommend her to everyone!!
- helencL2167JH00Great tour of Schönbrunn!!Katarina gave us an excellent in-depth tour of Schōnbrunn palace. She teally made the tour interesting and informative . Highly recommend!!
- NG181800Wolfgang Augsten is a wonderful, intelligent, interesting, and very thoughtful tour guide!Wolfgang provided excellent service, an interesting tour, and is very smart and well informed. I highly recommend Wolfgang Augsten for any tour you would like to take in Vienna!
- Monjeme00Making Vienna MemorableOnce you’ve checked all the Vienna must-do sights, and it’s time to truly make your Vienna visit special, take this tour with Annelie. She’ll provide extraordinary insights into musical Vienna, the players, their music, and sites. And her enthusiasm is infectious. Note: despite our family being somewhat classical music novices, we still enjoyed this tour tremendously. A truly memorable experience.
- 471maggieo00Great tour! After enjoying a great tour in Prague with Insight Cities (Beer and Baroque), I was lucky enough that Insight Cities was able to organise a tour for me at the last minute in Vienna. Alan was my guide. Knowledgeable, humorous and an afternoon of interesting conversation. Very much recommend. Went on to book two more tours with Insight Cities in Budapest.
- robertcZ3514UK00Great and informative tourLoved the tour. Biljana was a very knowledgeable, personable tour guide. Thought it was much more engaging and helped things come alive more to hear the stories of each room from her rather than from an audio commentary -- she clearly made an effort to put the information together in an engaging and yet informative way (side note -- I found her recommendation of where to go for good apfel strudel to be spot on :) ). The price was a bit high (and even higher with the entry fee not being included in the tour fee), but in my view well worth it as it helped us make the most of our limited time here and gave us an opportunity to spend time in rooms with someone clearly knowledgeable and passionate about the history behind them.
- BroadwayFanForever00Don't Hesitate to Take This Tour! Our private Vienna music tour with Annelie was absolutely magnificent! Annelie was a thoroughly knowledgeable, friendly, and personable guide, who provided excellent information about the musicians who resided in Vienna, escorting us to key locations where they lived and made music. We loved how Annelie provided headsets so we could listen to various pieces of music that corresponded to the composers/locations, as well as a plethora of photos that enhanced the experience. She also willingly accommodated our requests. To top it all off, Annelie took us to a very special restaurant for our lunch at the conclusion of our tour. Do not hesitate to book this fabulous tour!
- F6120XIjackiew00Very informative and a good walk all around downtown. This was an intense walking tour with lots of information. Our guide was very informed and kept us moving throughout the downtown and I would highly recommend. We were a group of two families and by a happy coincidence their son is attending the university that my son will be attending next year.
- 220julios00First time in Vienna. This is a wonderful activity. Kristina, our tour guide, was very professional, knowledgeable and fun. She was able to show us most the important landmarks of the city. We really enjoyed it and I highly recommend this activity.
- 701annekal00Vienna with KatarinaWe toured Vienna with Katarina and it was such a great experience. Her depth of knowledge was impressive, and her delivery was both entertaining and informative. Definitely recommend!!
- Lady_Dee00Wonderful architecture tour!If architecture is your passion, then this tour is for you! Our guide, Annelie, was a wealth of information about Vienna Secessionism (Vienna’s brand of Art Nouveau), and about Vienna itself. We met outside a traditional Viennese café, where we found our jetlagged selves craving coffee. Alas, coffee “to go” is not commonly available in Vienna, where coffee is meant to be slowly sipped and savored over a newspaper (or several newspapers). Hence, the tour began with coffee and pastries (yum!) inside the café with Annelie giving us an overview of the tour and of Vienna Secessionism. Once on foot, we covered a wide territory (including a ride on the U-Bahn) and saw some beautiful and unique architecture. The Vienna Secessionist building was a highlight, and Annelie’s description of Gustav Klimt’s “Beethoven Frieze” inside the building was particularly helpful (note—entrance fee to the building is not included in the price of the tour). Wandering through Otto Wagner’s Postal Savings Bank was another joy. I highly recommend this tour for architectural aficionados!

Suzanne from the start arranged our trip to the Belvedere to suit our needs and desires. She was not only very knowledgeable concerning the Belvedere and art in general, but so friendly and easy to talk with…like a family member. Definitely ….very enjoyable and memorable!
