- Climber5767730 contributionsFabulous concert but dinner prior to the concert was very disappointing and disorganised. The Concert was fabulous. Orchestra and performers were excellent. Dinner prior to the concert was very disappointing, it was apparent that anyone who wasn’t part of the concert package received priority service. Quality of food and deliver times of courses were disappointing.Written December 31, 2024
- EvaF6240 contributionsSchoenbrunn Palace Concerts and Schoenbrunn Palace Christmas MarketThe program was great - festive, fun, and family friendly. The Orchestra played Mozart and Strauss. We enjoyed it very much. We went to the Christmas Market beforehand, which was also very festive and enjoyable, without being too busy or expensive. Would definitely return!Written December 26, 2024
- sopenahernandez0 contributionsMagical concertAmazing concert at a beautiful venue, the conductor, orchestra and singers were excellent and engaging. The meal was good. The palace visit was very interesting. If anything let the event down was the organisation at the beginning at the meeting point, a bit chaotic with no directions or indicationsWritten December 26, 2024
- y0anag0 contributionsMagical music and eveningOverall, this was positive and memorable, but the tour was a bit chaotic to start with because there were so many tours launching at the same time. The guides had trouble keeping their groups paced so we had to halt abruptly in some places because other groups were still in the rooms we were entering. Dinner was very nice, but no vegan or vegetarian options just FYI. The concert itself was excellent! From what I heard, the 23rd is one of the most crowded nights, so time your tour so it isn’t so close to Christmas if you want a better palace tour experience. Give yourself time to find the meeting place for the tour, and enjoy the marketplace in front of the palace ahead of the time if you can. EASY to access by metro. It is BEAUTIFUL experience if you bring patience and a good attitude!Written December 24, 2024
- danpV8194MV0 contributionsGreat Vienna Experience!Enjoyable tour of the palace. The audio guide lets you go through at your own pace. The concert was better than we were expecting, as we are not really classical music fans. The length was terrific and the performers were brilliant and engaging.Written December 19, 2024
- Barbara S0 contributionsGreat Evening out. This was a really enjoyable evening. Evan, if you're not a fan of classical music, it was lovely just to experience a taste of Mozart & Strauss performed by excellent musicians & 2 singers & even though we couldn't understand the words we got the gist of what was going on by their performance. It was fantastic to wander around the famous Schonbron Palace with just a small group of people & the meal was excellent (apart from the dumplings, but that's just my personal taste!) The only negative I would say is that there were no directions as to where to go & we were wondering around in the dark & the Palace staff seemed unaware of the event so if you do go, & it was well worth it, give yourself plenty of time.Written December 13, 2024
- Sharon C0 contributionsPalace tour and concert in the OrangeryTicket instructions are a little confusing but with some effort we figured it out. A call to the vendor helped a lot. The tour was well directed but the walk to the concert venue was a distance from the palace and you need to walk fast to keep up. The concert however was excellent. 1 1/2 hours with a 1/2 hour intermission.Written December 11, 2024
- Mike W0 contributionsMusic was great but “food” was notThe coupons for food were dismal. Only selection was chicken schnitzel (chicken tenders) and potato chips and that was it. Nothing available for gluten free options. Lines at the only available concession stand were not clearly marked and very long. Music was good but thought the concert would be in the palace not side building.Written December 4, 2024
- Journey403404330610 contributionsAn evening of delightful Strauss and Mozart.Absolutely splendid! A real delight. Seven musicians sounding like twenty, lovely singers, a wonderful evening. - chrisjW1037TY0 contributionsLacks coherenceShort limited tour of palace guides didn’t wait for us or show us way from dinner to concert. Had to scramble around in the rain. Dinner marginal. Concert was good upgrade to vip positions if you’re an audio connoisseurWritten September 15, 2024
- P3495DGjulieh0 contributionsGlamorous setting coupled with extraordinary musicianshipThe artistry and musicianship of this concert is rivaled only by its glamorous historical setting. Listening to Mozart where he once performed was the thrill of a lifetime!! The musicians showed pure joy in sharing these beautiful works with the audience and clearly had a fabulous rapport with their entertaining conductor. My only criticism is the lack of programs for non VIP guests. If you pay to attend a concert, everyone is entitled to a listing of the music that was shared. This applies regardless of the seats purchased. A simple page will do if the booklet form is cost prohibitive.Written September 14, 2024
- Explorer4010850 contributionsPartly magical, partly miserable. Skip dinner option during hot summer daysGreat experience except for the dinner- the food was tasty, the staff was friendly- but it was excessively hot inside with no fans or AC, and it took way too long to get through the meal (about 1.5 hours for a simple meal)- it was torture. Dinner started with hot broth soup- tasty, but not appropriate for a stifling hot summer day! A salad would have been appreciated. Entree was beef (heavy, but tasty) and potatoes (delish). Dessert- apfelstrudel (delish). Concert was wonderful. Venue- magical (thankfully they had a few fans to move the still air). Palace tour was very interesting (audio tour was great). If dinner was served faster, there would have been more time to walk off dinner through the amazing gardens. We only had about 15 minutes.Written August 14, 2024
- n0mad66000 contributionsFirst classour experience was part of a 40th birthday surprise weekend away for my wife, she had no clue on what i had planned and she was completely overwhelmed. The tour was personable if not brief, i believe there is much more to see but for the evening it was enough. The meal was beautiful and cooked to perfection, unfortunately the weather was extremely hot that day and the restaurant was on the warm side making it a bit uncomfortable, some fans would have helped. The concert was incredible, my love had never been to anything that had a classical theme and she was quite emotional at times, the smile never left her face. We took advantage of the VIP option which was well worth the extra as we sat right at the front and thankfully a fan was close by. It was well organised with everyone friendly and happy to help if needed. As a whole i would highly recommend it, we had a perfect evening and a wonderful first day of our long weekend in Vienna.Written August 3, 2024

We attended the Palace concert with grandparents, parents and children ages 12 and 13. The concert was a mix of the highlights from Mozart and Strauss including opera and dances as well as instrument only. The children had never before attended an opera, but they were quickly won over by the charming performers. All in all the music and performances were excellent and enjoyed by all three generations.

The show was very nice and entertaining. There was a small orchestra ensemble, two opera singers and two ballet dancers. The concert lasted from 8:30 to 10:15, which was a perfect length. The venue was intimate as well. I got tickets in seating C and you could see everything perfectly fine.

I had booked a vacation for one week in Vienna for my mothers 80th birthday. Of course, the Castle Schönbrunn is a must do when you visit Vienna.
I booked 4 Vip ticket with the Organisation, the Orangerie at Image Vienna, and I was truly impressed with the high level of professionalism that was expressed by the staff and the team behind the classical concert organization of the Schönbrunn classical concert performances. When we came to pick up our tickets, we were made with a beautiful flower bouquet for my mother, champagne for all of us, first row seats toward the stage situated around a white table with water, glasses, flowers and champagne. It was truly a VIP experience all the way. It was a little difficult for us organized all this from Los Angeles, and the staff was not only very kind and truly patient with all my requests, but they stepped up beyond what I could have ever imagined and made this entire experience truly memorable for us and especially for my mother who could’ve not had a better 80th birthday.
A big thank you goes out to the concert organization at the Schönbrunn Concerts organizers and thank you again for being so amazing and making this such a fantastic event for all of us.

I just left the concert in the Orangerie (the venue, which for some reason is not in the castle as we were told when we booked) and I'm shocked how horrible it was. I was there with my 13 year old niece, we are both fans of classical music.
After 30 minutes of listening to something I would call a disgrace to classical music, two dancers entered the stage and did such a poor performance that we had to leave the show. We tried to ask the people who were working there if we could get our money back or at least a share of it, but we were met with no sense of customer service or approval. They told us they have never recieced a complaint. Well, that's impossible if the audience has ever been to a classical concert or seen ballet before. This show was extremely overpriced and not worth even a third of the price we paid. I cannot believe we couldn't get anything back, even though we left before 30 minutes had passed. The venue is also horrible and below every normal expectation for this price level.
I recommend everyone to stay away from this concert. The quality and level of the concert is below what you get on free concerts arranged and performed by students in every city in the world. And the dancers, I don't even have words for the lack of artistic integrity.

Dear Ms. Macic,
First of all we are very sorry that you did not like our performance last night. We always try to do our best ! Besides the dancers which you did not like, you unfortunately did not describe anything music or performing related ! The overpriced package included dinner and camera music concert. I assumed both were in the Palace. Wrong. The dinner is a fixed mass produced meal, regular at best, in a modern cafeteria. Then you go back to the street and walk about 100 meters to a modern building where you seat in a long room, not a baroque chamber, and could have limited hearing and no visibility of the performance, which includes ballet and opera pieces.
Not worth the 100 💶.

Dear David__Haifa
We are really sorry our package did not met your expectations. We feel sorry about your low ranking, as long as you did not mention how you liked the music!?
Our concert venue has already been used as a concert hall by the Habsburg emperors due to the good acoustics and we continue this tradition. So you should be able to hear the music in the whole concert venue. Additionally, as our stage is raised, our orchestra can be seen from every seat. The Orangery Schoenbrunn is part of the palace.
Since you may have been informed wrong, would you please tell me where you bought your tickets?
We always want to make sure that our guests get all informations. Would you please tell me via Mail to nina.bergmann@imagevienna.com where you bought yours?

Folks, for about 25 EUR more you can get pretty decent seats at the Vienna Opera if you plan ahead (which we did). This concert is a semi-classy tourist trap; an octet with vocal accompaniment on a few pieces.
Nothing against the performers (some of whom were excellent), but you can really hear when a mistake is made. It stands out much more so than in a full symphony orchestra. But, overall, the performers are playful and enjoyable.
The management company holding these performances is not the best. The bathrooms in the Orangerie aren't unlocked until an hour before the performance. Before that time you will need to walk 10 minutes and pay for bathroom use at the Palace.
You are forced to check your jacket/coat before entering the performance space. It's not the money that makes this annoying; it's the principle. No other venue we've been to in Austria or elsewhere in Europe charges for coat check. I spent 225 Euro on three tickets to the performance; the least the management can do is let us use the bathroom and check our outerwear without cost. Some guests were inexplicably permitted to enter with their coats; one person even smuggled his drink inside.
As for the seating, there are no assigned seats; only assigned seating areas. I suggest you be there when they begin admitting guests in order to secure a decent seat. But note that there is no place to sit while you wait for admittance. There is a bar, but you will stand whilst you drink and wait. I much prefer assigned seats, which is the norm in more respectable venues across the world.
Overall, this is decidedly a tourist trap. There is no benefit to attending this concert versus any of the other tourist-oriented concerts held daily closer in to Vienna's CBD. In fact, I prefer those because they tend to be held in beautiful churches with wonderful acoustics.
I don't recommend this event. Faux classy is the best way to describe it.

Dear yanyan2605,
thank you for your feedback on our Schoenbrunn Palace Concerts.
First, we are sorry that you did not enjoy your evening with us.
Regarding the management: In fact, we cannot provide the toilets all day. With this measure, we want to ensure that the toilets are still clean until the start of the concert.
Regarding the cloakroom: It is Austrian law that jackets and larger bags must be checked in at the cloakroom and it is common to charge a small fee for this.
Regarding the seating: We believe in the principle of "first come, first served".
We are sorry that you think our products are a tourist trap, but the fact is that all musicians have received professional education and also perform in places like in beautiful churches etc. The Orangery venue is an original venue where Mozart himself once performed. Due to its historical importance, no part of the building can be modified or changed.
Best regards

It was a delightful experience, I was very moved by the beauty of the music. We had seats at section A and could see the faces of the musicians while playing. The access is very easy, we arrived by public transport "U-Bahn" and the Orangerie is a couple of steps away from the Schönbrunn station. It's worth every penny you pay, the musicians and opera singers were amazing, even if you are not a classic music expert you would enjoy the experience, I would totally recommend It to first-timers.

The concert was really amazing. It took place in the Schonbrunn Palace Orangery. The hall was very beautifuly lightened: a lovely ornament on the ceiling with changing colours every musical composition. The program included Mozart's (first part) and Strauss' (second part) works. The orchestra was accompanied by 2 opera singers and 2 ballet dancers during some compositions. I really enjoyed the concert and certainly recommend it!

We were happy with our decision to buy category B tickets. Excellent acoustics and visibility to B section. No reason to buy first row or cat A if not any specific reason.
They played many famous songs, some with singers or dancers which was nice! Please note that the orchestra can be only 8 players as we experienced but they did great with that combination. However, the last one - Radetzky March - wasn't as pompous as it should be without all the instruments.
Not the cheapest experience, but worth the money. 65 e per ticket for 2 hours of great music. 20 mins break for a class of prosecco or you can have before the show. Please be early if you have cat B/C tickets. The seats are free to choose among the category.

We have taken friends to other concerts in Vienna - they are pretty much the same in terms of content but obviously the location and ambience is different. The Orangery is very pretty and the lighting is very good. The seating is not so good as the room is relatively narrow so if you opt for the 45€ seats, you will be right at the back and although the sound system is good, you do not see so much as all the seats are on the same level. A mixture of Mozart and Strauss with a little opera and ballet thrown in for good measure. Order drinks before for the intermission.

Dear serenacM2949EX,
thank you very much for your feedback about our classical Schönbrunn Palace Concerts!
We are very happy that you like our concert venue with its unique ambient lighting and the performance of our artists! You are right that our category C for 45€ is at the back of the concert hall, but normally the stage should still be visible as it is raised.
It would be a pleasure for us to welcome you again one day!

Is the guest code strict? We are travelling light and we do not have any smart casual clothes just Jean's trainers etc.
Written October 1, 2023
We saw folks dressed very casually. One couple was in shorts and polo shirt and the girl in a simple summer dress. I wore trainers under my long skirt since I didn't want to walk around in heels all afternoon. As long as you're clean and look presentable, you'll be fine :)

Hi, we are planning (2 pax) to go for the concert on 30 Aug. I'm not sure exact location of the concert at Schronbrunn. If we get the Concert ticket alone (without tour/dinner), do we need to join the long queue with other tourists who are not going for the concert to enter Schronbrunn?
(2) If we decide to get the package Tour-Dinner-Concert, are we entitled to the skip-the-line for tour entry? Is there a specific time when we can get in for Tour and decide how much time we wish to spend touring the palace? Thank you.

You can get to go to a concert in the main palace but these are only on certain dates. We did not have the dinner option in the Orangerie, and did not see where this option was served, so can’t really advise you on that, sorry. You do need to see the main palace and the grounds but you can do that during the day, Vienna is in love with music so there are plenty of concerts elsewhere and I think that you could do better.
Written July 8, 2019
The opera/dance is a feature only if it’s in the Orangerie. Sometimes the performance is moved to a different hall and in that case the opera/dance etc. is not featured. This is what I understood when I booked my tickets in June
