Since the reign of the Habsburgs, the Orangery at Schonbrunn Palace has been a cultural epicenter, showcasing fine musical and artistic talent. The great Mozart himself competed in a musical contest here in the 18th century against the imperial court composer Antonio Salieri. Arrive at the grand concert hall and settle into your seat in either the front, middle or rear, depending on the ticket category selected at the time of booking. Listen to the revered Schonbrunn Palace Orchestra or Ensemble perform works from Mozart and Strauss, accompanied by singers and ballet dancers. Should you choose to upgrade to VIP seating, you are treated to a glass of sparkling wine at intermission.

A memorable experience
Sep 2019
We enjoyed an absolutely memorable night at the Vienna concert.
The music was magnificent, the concert hall itself was beautiful as was the lighting.
Very colourful, welcoming attendants and well attended by patrons.
Only the seating needs more consideration as there was fairly basic stall chairs.
However the arena was quite intimate, not too large and the atmosphere was well constructed with ambience.

Dear Julie M, thank you very much for your feedback about our Schoenbrunn Palace Concerts! We are very happy that you enjoyed this experience. Regarding the chairs: what would you change about them? They are padded in order to ensure comfortable seating. It would help us a lot if you could explain your thoughts about the chairs by mail to miriam.hutter@imagevienna.com. Best greetings from Vienna!

Famous music well played
Feb 2020
We were happy with our decision to buy category B tickets. Excellent acoustics and visibility to B section. No reason to buy first row or cat A if not any specific reason.

They played many famous songs, some with singers or dancers which was nice! Please note that the orchestra can be only 8 players as we experienced but they did great with that combination. However, the last one - Radetzky March - wasn't as pompous as it should be without all the instruments.

Not the cheapest experience, but worth the money. 65 e per ticket for 2 hours of great music. 20 mins break for a class of prosecco or you can have before the show. Please be early if you have cat B/C tickets. The seats are free to choose among the category.

Very Good
The performers were excellent, the evening enjoyable. To get 5 stars it needs to be cheaper in my book cheap seats should be 30 euros, don't pay for expensive seats as the room isn't tiered seating and there is little benefit. Also offer a 1 minute window for audience members to take a photo of the performers with there instruments as this is a tourist event. Having no photo to show and remember is a shame.

Dear 347gareths, thank you for the feedback. You are right, we do not like taking photos during the show because we always get feedback that other guests feel disturbed. Therefore you can always take photos at the beginning and at the end of the show. Thank you for texting us. We will think about it again. Best greetings from Vienna,

Bit over price. Being in a smaller part of the Palace, (Orangerie). But certainly worth it.
Feb 2020
While the Music and Performances were good, but the atmosphere (being in the Orangerie) and with limited number of musical and performers, It was a bit of lesser event than expected. For such event, it was a bit over priced. At the point of booking, it was suggested that only half a dozen seat left. (hard sell tactics) however, it was only a third full.

Dear RAYREHMAT, thank you very much for your feedback! First of all, it is great that you enjoyed the music & the performance. At the same time we feel sorry that other parts of this experience could not meet your expectations. Could you please tell us by mail to miriam.hutter@imagevienna.com, where you bought your tickets? On our own website we clearly state how the Orangery looks and that in the off-peak season (from 1st of November to 23rd of December and 2nd of January to 31st of March) our ensemble with a reduced number of musicians performs. Moreover we do not use the sales tactics that you described so it would help us a lot if you could tell us your ticket reseller so we can make sure that all information on their website is accurate too. Thank you and best greetings from Vienna!

Good performance
Feb 2020
We have taken friends to other concerts in Vienna - they are pretty much the same in terms of content but obviously the location and ambience is different. The Orangery is very pretty and the lighting is very good. The seating is not so good as the room is relatively narrow so if you opt for the 45€ seats, you will be right at the back and although the sound system is good, you do not see so much as all the seats are on the same level. A mixture of Mozart and Strauss with a little opera and ballet thrown in for good measure. Order drinks before for the intermission.

Dear serenacM2949EX, thank you very much for your feedback about our classical Schönbrunn Palace Concerts! We are very happy that you like our concert venue with its unique ambient lighting and the performance of our artists! You are right that our category C for 45€ is at the back of the concert hall, but normally the stage should still be visible as it is raised. It would be a pleasure for us to welcome you again one day! Best greetings from Vienna!

Dear jonadrib, We feel sorry about your low ranking, as long as you did not mention how you liked the music!? Our stage is raised, and since we have free seating everybody should find a perfect seat and our orchestra can be seen from every seat. We are really sorry you had difficulties with the view. We still hope you enjoyed the concert and had a good time in our Orangery. Kind regards,
