      Evening worth it.
Palace tour was short but very interesting. Dinner was a three course meal and well paced. The music concert we could have listened to for hours more. The male singer was exceptional.

Magnificent concert at an Austrian Palace.
Amazing concert at the Schonbrunn Palace. Simplify magnicient performance. Only complaint is the process - not ticket, but a voucher that needs to be turned in, no one seemed to know where the concert was for over an hour. Luckily we were super early and could take the time to really see the Palace which was worth it. That day the concert was actually where the tickets were given out. This needs to be clearer.

      Musicians having a blast!
The concert in the ballroom was truly was an experience that I will never forget. The opera singers were so powerful and so beautifully matched together! The lead violinist was grinning and having a ball! The maestro was joyful and playfully conducted the audience a couple times. And the hall! Oh wow! The gold decorations on the wall were like vines and actually had space between them and the wall. Also the light bulbs in the candelabras and chandeliers dimmed and brightened just like candles in a tiny breeze. I spoke with one of the hosts during the intermission and learned a bit about the murals on the ceilings. I saw the bass player as we were walking out and thanked him. 😁💕 Best of all, I met the Austrian horn player at the tram station, and when I expressed interest, he was eager to tell us the difference between his Austrian horn and something we colloquially call the French horn. We chatted for quite a while waiting for the tram and he even took his instrument out and showed us some things about it. So cool!!! A very lovely evening! Thank you so much!

      Delightful!
This was delightful. A lovely setting in the orangery, performed by an accomplished small orchestra and singers. We didn’t know many of the pieces in the programme, but it was varied and very enjoyable. We had the cheapest tickets (category C), but arrived early, and chose seats at the front of that section, so perfectly good. A lovely evening out.

Enjoyable concert better then Mozart at Musikverein
This is very enjoyable concert with quality musicians and outstanding soloist. This is not a symphony or chamber concert but a smattering of Mozart the first half and enjoyable Johann Strauss the second half. Far better for serious classical lovers than Mozart at the Musikverein.

      Lacks coherence
Short limited tour of palace guides didn’t wait for us or show us way from dinner to concert. Had to scramble around in the rain. Dinner marginal. Concert was good upgrade to vip positions if you’re an audio connoisseur

      Very enjoyable
Amazing musicians, very talented soprano and tenor. The venue is simple but really beautifully decorated. The only improvement I'll do is intercalate the sits rows since they are exactly behind each other, so it is very easy that the person in front of you covers your visibility even if you are in section A. Also, prepare the location to redeem your ticket because I thought it was inside the park, but it is outside of it, and I almost got late. Sadly you can not take pictures inside but you can remember it in your mind 😅

      A Captivating Cultural Experience
Absolutely excellent! This was a fantastic cultural experience and my first time attending a concert like this. Even though I didn’t fully understand the lyrics or the music, it was completely captivating and emotionally moving. The setting inside the Schönbrunn Palace is absolutely gorgeous, adding to the overall atmosphere. The drinks available before the concert and during the interval were reasonably priced, which was a nice touch. I highly recommend attending this concert if you’re in Vienna!

Partly magical, partly miserable. Skip dinner option during hot summer days
Great experience except for the dinner- the food was tasty, the staff was friendly- but it was excessively hot inside with no fans or AC, and it took way too long to get through the meal (about 1.5 hours for a simple meal)- it was torture. Dinner started with hot broth soup- tasty, but not appropriate for a stifling hot summer day! A salad would have been appreciated. Entree was beef (heavy, but tasty) and potatoes (delish). Dessert- apfelstrudel (delish). Concert was wonderful. Venue- magical (thankfully they had a few fans to move the still air). Palace tour was very interesting (audio tour was great). If dinner was served faster, there would have been more time to walk off dinner through the amazing gardens. We only had about 15 minutes.

Wonderful music in the prettiest setting
Fun concert in a gorgeous venue, come early to allow time to walk around the palace grounds and Orangery before the show. Musicians were wonderful as were the opera singers. A great activity for any Vienna visit.

      First class
our experience was part of a 40th birthday surprise weekend away for my wife, she had no clue on what i had planned and she was completely overwhelmed. The tour was personable if not brief, i believe there is much more to see but for the evening it was enough. The meal was beautiful and cooked to perfection, unfortunately the weather was extremely hot that day and the restaurant was on the warm side making it a bit uncomfortable, some fans would have helped. The concert was incredible, my love had never been to anything that had a classical theme and she was quite emotional at times, the smile never left her face. We took advantage of the VIP option which was well worth the extra as we sat right at the front and thankfully a fan was close by. It was well organised with everyone friendly and happy to help if needed. As a whole i would highly recommend it, we had a perfect evening and a wonderful first day of our long weekend in Vienna.

      Wonderful!
If you enjoy classical music in an imitate and entertaining setting, this concert does not disappoint. Prior to the concert and during intermission, there is access to the Organery gardens for a stroll. VIP seating is limited to the first three rows. All seating is first come , first serve in each category. Enjoy!

Phenomenal Music in a Historic Setting
Attending a classical concert at the Orangery in Schönbrunn Palace was a memorable experience filled with beautiful music and historical ambiance. We opted for Category A tickets, which allowed us to secure seats in the first third of the venue. The seating arrangement, however, was somewhat basic with conference room-style chairs and no assigned seating. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the outstanding music performed by talented opera singers and musicians. Despite the lack of microphones, their voices projected wonderfully throughout the hall, showcasing their exceptional talent. One downside was the comfort level inside the venue. It was hot and stuffy, which slightly detracted from the overall experience (bring your own fan!). Additionally, program pamphlets were at an additional cost, so we didn't have one to refer to as the concert progressed. On the upside, paid parking across the street was convenient, but added to the overall cost of the evening.

      Beautiful music but stifling hot
Excellent concert with amazingly talented musicians and singers. The choice of music was a beautiful blend of serious pieces and crowd pleasers. The conductor was very engaging with the audience and brought elements of fun and humour to the performance. The concert hall really needs to address the level of heat and lack of air circulation. It was so stifling hot that the musicians and conductor were suffering and part of the audience left after intermission.

Trip Advisor read the fine print well in advance of show
Make sure to read your confirmation at least a day in advance. Tickets ARE NOT provided by Trip Advisor to this venue. You have to pick them up at the Orangerie on the palace grounds before they close at 6:30. I assumed that when I saw the "get tickets here link" in the Trip Advisor app, we already had them. All of this caused a lot of unnecessary stress ahead of a beautiful show. We RAN to get public transportation and RAN to the Orangerie just in time to pick them up. I hope I can help someone else avoid this problem. It put a damper on what should have been a relaxing evening. The music was outstanding but the singers went in and out of a side door the whole performance and it was distracting to see the door ajar during the concert. I had to close my eyes to stop from getting distracted and focus on the beautiful music.

Firstly, the restaurant is across the street to the Schõnbrunn (not in the castle). The service is somewhat unacceptable; it depends upon if you are paying "À la carte" or you are part of the pre-paid concert meal. The server serves the "À la carte" clients first and these clients have better service, like they are 1st class client). The concert clients are served depending on how much beverage they order (2nd class) or not (3rd class). Having only order a glass of wine each, our service was very poor and slow. Secondly, the concerts is very good. Small, intimate, everyone feels invited to enjoy the musicians and opera singers. So, take the concert experience WITHOUT the meal. Make it special by choosing a restaurant of your choice before the concert. Your experience will be more enjoyable.

Dear Jeanne, thank you very much for your feedback. We are very sorry that you did not enjoy the meal. This is a surprise to us, as the restaurant always provides excellent service and is one of the most recognized restaurants in Vienna for the tourists from Schönbrunn. The restaurant does not distinguish between concert guests and other guests. We are very sorry you had this impression. The only difference is that for our guests we expedite dinner so that everything is organized upon arrival with a very traditional menu with austrian meat with great quality. Perhaps at that night there were more guests than normal in the restaurant, so they could not provide the excellent service for which they are known. We are very sorry you felt like this. We hope however, that you enjoyed the concert with us! Greetings from Vienna.

We included a tour to see the castle which was waste of money. We Picked up the tickets in the morning and was told that all tours was fully booked until 3 hours later making it impossible for us use these tickets. Where to go for hours - be back for the tour - and then be back again at 18.30 for the dinner - nor fair.

The concert was very enjoyable but the dinner beforehand was not a very satisfactory experience. The restaurant that we were allocated was Joseph II as the other one (Tafelspitz) was not available when we booked. The restaurant severely lacks atmosphere and we had the impression that it might be used as an overflow for people who could not be accommodated in the main restaurant. It was almost empty on the evening in question. We arrived a little before 6.30pm, having first gone to the ticket office to collect our tickets. Nonetheless we were pressurised to finish our dinner as quickly as possible, apparently because the chef wanted to go home, and each course arrived within a couple of minutes of the preceding one.

On the basis of this experience we would not recommend the concert plus dinner option; it would be better to eat in the city centre and come just to the concert.

Dinner in the grounds of Schonbrunn Palace. Dinner was satisfactory with the staff very attentive. The concert was exquisite in terms of its performance with exceptional lighting and acoustics. Certainly this concert together with the tour of Schonbrunn Palace were the highlights of our Vienna visit.

Having recently experienced a poor tour at The Musikverein with a 3 course dinner we did not have any high hopes of this tour. We were wrong. It was fantastic.

The tour of the palace lasts about 40 minutes where you’ll have almost private access to the palace with an audio guide.

You’ll then be accompanied to your restaurant for the evening where you’ll have plenty of time to have dinner and drinks (drinks are not included).

The concert was amazing, held in the beautiful Orangerie. We had category C tickets which meant we were quite far back. We could still see the musicians ok, but we’ll be booking tickets further to the front next time.

We were so looking forward to this. We didn’t realise the restaurant was not in the Orangery Palace where the concert was and we had to walk there in the pouring rain to the end of and across the road. The food was not good and we were served with everyone else and had to wait until everyone finished their course, for the next course. This was not anything special and the restaurant is open to anyone walking off the street.. No alternative food was offered so we were stuck with what the restaurant served, watery no taste consume, tasteless beef in gravy and apple strudel. We were even more disappointed by the concert, there are so many well known beautiful songs by Strauss and Mozart that the orchestra could have performed but instead apart from the Blue Danube the others were not known and this was indicative by there being no atmosphere by the orchestra or the audience. We were expecting a SPECIAL evening instead, a big disappointment.

Dear myholidaysaway, Thank you for your feedback, we are very sorry for your disappointment! However, it is clearly communicated that the restaurant is not in the orangery. Also, it is a 3-course menu which is served to our guests so obviously you can't choose other dishes. Concerning our concert, we do not want to only play the most well known songs but offer a great mixture of amazing songs. Sorry that you didn't quite like it. Greetings from the Orangery

The artistry and musicianship of this concert is rivaled only by its glamorous historical setting. Listening to Mozart where he once performed was the thrill of a lifetime!! The musicians showed pure joy in sharing these beautiful works with the audience and clearly had a fabulous rapport with their entertaining conductor.

My only criticism is the lack of programs for non VIP guests. If you pay to attend a concert, everyone is entitled to a listing of the music that was shared. This applies regardless of the seats purchased. A simple page will do if the booklet form is cost prohibitive.

Dear Guest, Thank you very much for your review! We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the concert. Regarding the program, as you mentioned, it is included for free for VIP guests, but all guests have the option to purchase the program, as it is not included in the ticket price. In Austria, as in many other European countries, it is quite common to buy the concert program separately from the tickets, as it includes a lot of additional information. Thank you again for your visit, and greetings from Vienna!

The tour was interesting, though short. The concert was wonderful in an amazing setting. The only let down was the dinner-a long walk (25mins) to a restaurant for an indifferent meal with no choice and not very attentive service. then the long walk back for the concert. This experience needs a re-think.

Thank you for your feedback! Sorry that you were disappointed, still, I will give you some facts about the experience. If you listen to all files of our audioguide, the tour always lasts 40 minutes. It is communicated that the restaurant is in walking distance and you need max 15 minutes from the palace to the restaurant. The walk then back to the concert hall lasts 5 minutes. Sorry for your mixed feelings, but we hope to see you again in the Orangery Schönbrunn!

The dinner was simple but good quality and tasty. The concert was beautiful and entertaining. The uses of different lighting gives an enchanting feel to the hall. The opera singers sing with great passion so even if you don’t understand what the opera is about you will feel it.

We thoroughly enjoy our evening listening to the powerful orchestra and vocalist performances. The setting in the palace was lovely. Our favorite part was when a child prodigy violinist performed. His performance was stunning and beautiful.

We chose the package with the dinner before the concert. It was a nice dinner at a restaurant within walking distance from the orangerie and the food was great.

    Overall a lovely evening.
