Finally – booked this three years ago and COVID took over.
Things didn’t start too well though. Turn up to find the restaurant Opus where the meal was booked was closed. But after that moment of panic things moved on well. So it’s the Cafe – trust me its more than plush enough at the Hotel Imperial. The meal was excellent not too heavy. The Mozart Page met us there extremely well presented.
Sadly, we visited as the heat wave was gripping Europe and so the fiaker didn’t happen – had to settle for an electric cart instead. But that’s force majeure and I accept that the heat was too much for the horses (35°C or greater).
The Mozart Page greeted us again at the golden hall after the tour and escorted us to our seats. We didn’t’ at this point see any tickets and as we were about to climb the stairs I was asked by an attendant for “my ticket” I stopped in my tracks – but before I could do or say anything a second attendant told the first you never stop a Mozart Page and his companions so we moved on.
The music was excellent, the Soprano incredibly powerful performance during the Aria’s. The interval currently states that on the VIP ticket (which we had – hence the Mozart Page) was a meet and greet with the performers – this did NOT take place. Under the current COVID issues again I can understand that, but the Page did not at this time tell us this would not take place. Instead, he led us out to a table where our refreshments were waiting for us. During the interval he was very informative but also I felt a little on edge (maybe he was concerned about the other concert goers?). Perhaps because he was the only Page on that particular performance, and he was only asked once to pose for someone else – which we didn’t mind. He was very attentive to us, focused on us and so the break caried on without any other interruptions.
The second part of the performance I must admit I felt was even better than the first. The arias performed flawlessly (to my untrained ear), the conductor had his fun with the audience. And afterwards we were greeted one last time by the Page for the conclusion.
Despite the lack of a) Fiaker and b) Meet and Greet the Mozart Page was very very good (and remarkably cool considering the temperature). He certainly added to an excellent experience - thank you very much for that.
I would however ask Vienna Concerts (or Mozart Concerts – it gets confusing) to re-consider marking meet and greet of the VIP ticket for now COVID isn’t going away in a hurry and if someone was really looking forward to this portion of the evening, they would be highly disappointed.

We did have a great evening yesterday. The restaurant in the Bristol Hotel is classy and food is delicious, service is appropriate too. However, Aperitif is NOT NOT NOT included. When I bought the package, it’s included. It’s not in the restaurant. Mozart concert is fantastic. We enjoyed their performance. Highly recommended.

Great night out, well organised. The dinner at hotel Bristol was outstanding and the ambience and service superb. The concert was entertaining and well worth the expense. Overall, could not fault the entire evening and definitely can recommend

I'm a simple person, so the meal was too fancy for me. The service was top notch. I've never been treated that way by servers before in my life. I was very impressed with their hospitality. It was an interesting experience. I think if I'd had someone with me instead of being alone, I could have enjoyed it more.
The concert could have also been enjoyable if it weren't for the Chinese & Japanese tourists. I know from living in China, Chinese tourists are not culturally sensitive to the countries they visit & such was the case at the concert venue. I could tell many of the European audience were just as frustrated with them as I was. They stood during the concert blocking my view, did not dress accordingly, & continued to take photos/record video when there were signs AND an announcement saying this was forbidden. I would recommend buying a more expensive package as I bought the cheaper ticket due to wanting to save money. My seat was way in the back next to a column making it difficult to see. With the standing Chinese tourists, I definitely could not see. A more expensive ticket would give you a better seat to see better. It was also very hot inside. Not being able to see with the relaxing music & heat, I think I nodded off a few times. I would suggest if visiting during the cooler weather as I did to wear layered clothing so that you can remove the warmer clothing & won't be SO hot inside the venue. The orchestra was very entertaining though, involving the audience at various times. I just wish I could have enjoyed it more without the outside, unpreventable distractions.

Pre concert meal at the Hotel Bristol was great - service top notch and food very good in a lovely restaurant
Hotel is very close / convenient for the Musikverein - the concert hall itself is an impressive building - very ornate - entry was disorganised - lots of ques with many people in the wrong line - the usher at the stair top where we were seated was rude and unhelpful
Main issue though was the temperature in the hall - it became unbearably hot within 15 minutes and my wife was ill - we had to leave soon after
Can’t comment on the music itself given we were only present for a short while but what we did hear was enjoyable
The hall needs air conditioning- urgently- and the usher we came into contact with needs to learn about customer service
The overall booking process - seating - restaurant reservation etc was top notch

Dear George A,
thank you for visiting Wiener Mozart Konzerte and for booking our Dinner & Concert package. We are glad to hear that you really enjoyed the meal at our partner restaurant and we regret that you did not enjoy the concert itself too much because of external issues. A high level of customer service is a very important value to us and all of our employees are trained to be friendly and helpful towards customers. We also expect that from the staff of the concert venue and we will discuss your review with the responsible contact person from the venue in order to resolve such issues in the future. Thank you very much for your feedback!

I had difficulty finding the hotel restaurant for the dinner. But with plenty of time I was served a delicious gourmet meal. ! was not impressed with the dessert and the drink was not included in the ticket. The music hall was a short distance away and a safe area for walking. My seat was not as good as I originally thought. I had to lean over the edge of the balcony to see the performance but the music was divine.

So much better than anticipated.
Wow far better than expected, We thought we would end up with a group meal, join up with others on a big table sort of thing, but no we had a fantastic dinner with just us, and silver serivce in the Bristol Hotel, the food was to die for, mind you it did cost enough to start with. The service recived was well appricated, even if a bottle or red wine was 60 Euro. We could not fault the dinner in anyway.
But as for the Mozart Concert, it was ok, not my choice, it was my wifes birthday present. Im sure there are other shows very simular if not better. so shop around for a deal for the music you really want, the fact this concert was in old school dress and wigs did nothing for me.
And ss for the opera signing, well my local cats sound better. But it gave you an overhaul picture of what it might have been like all those years ago, so I guess It did what it advertised to do. Very cramped seating and very warm to say the least, they need air con.

How is this package different from 'Mozart Evening at Vienna State Opera: Gourmet Dinner and Concert'? Are they at the same location?
mike424u
Bridgwater, UK325 contributions
Two different concerts, and possibly too different dinner options. The State opera house is on the main road on the corner. the Musikveren Is across the road and down the street into a small square. Both venues impressive, also could be different music concert types. You just have to pick what takes your fancy.
But the meal in the Bristol hotel was fab, well worth the money.
So where exactly is the "Restaurant Bristol" which is the depart point. I can't seem to find the address on goggle maps.

Hi,
the seating plan depends on the concert venue, which varies between Brahms Hall, Golden Hall and Vienna State Opera. You can find seating plans as well as more information directly on our website.
