Absolutely wonderful music by a full orchestra with choir accompaniment and soloists made our trip to Vienna complete. St Charles beautiful baroque style beauty enhanced the pleasure of the concert! Vienna is a cultural and artistic wonder city, albeit cold+ windy in winter, and we were grateful they graciously had heated seat cushions and blankets to make the experience more enjoyable. We highly recommend the Mozart Requiem to all. During the day we were surprised there was an elevator up to the dome to see the amazing paintings up close (also worth a visit).

We did several tours during the three weeks we were in Germany and Austria but this was truly the highlight. We were ages 24 - 61 and all four of us were blown away by the talent of the musicians and the beautiful setting. Definitely spring for the section 1 tickets which are up front and reserved. we sat in the first pew of the church. There was a really cool installation of a modern sculpture hanging from the ceiling which reflected the whole church in its surface. Definitely do this concert but get the great seats. One note the church doesn't have a bathroom available so plan accordingly.

The church is a lovely location and has wonderful acoustics. The choir and the orchestration was superb. We chose three nights of classical music and this concert was excellently executed. Dress warm if going in the winter.

Great concert, authentically and passionately performed by the group. Really enjoyed the atmosphere in the building. Church isnt as intricately decorated as, say, st peters, but a lovely building nevertheless.
Make sure you get there early for the inevitable queue.

The church has excellent acoustics and both the orchestra and choir are quite good. The concert we saw lasted just an hour but was excellent. Seating is open, so some people lined up an hour before the doors opened, although we didn't and still got good seats in our category. Audience was respectful and observed rules against photos during the performance. unlike some other Vienna performances. Good choice if you don't have or don't want to spend a lot of time. Seating is a bit uncomfortable,

I have loved Mozart’s Requiem since singing it at school and could not miss the opportunity to see it performed in the Karlskirche. We had category 1 seats and were allocated seats in row 7 when we arrived so we had an excellent view (we took our email confirmation to the counter by the entrance and were then given a seat allocation). The performance was excellent quality and even my sceptical teenager agreed. We could have done with slightly thicker cushions on the pews as they were not the most comfortable!

I cannot say that I am a real fan of this style of music but we had guests who wanted to go, so we toodled along. Thought it might be cold but we had a heater under our pew and were steaming hot! It was a good experience and our guests were very happy. We had the cheapest seats but I do not think it made a big difference - it was only an hour.....

My wife and I attended the concert on a perfect Saturday evening. We decided to spend a little extra and were assigned row 6 in the church. It was awesome being that close to the music in a Wien historical church. I highly suggest spending the extra to get the closer seat. I don’t think the sound is any different, but being able to see the musicians and conductor so close was memorable. At any rate, don’t miss this event.

This venue is stunning in the evening. Acoustics excellent. Great performance considering the size of the choir and orchestra. We have heard the Requiem numerous times and this rates up there with the others.

One is often wary of "tourist" performances of classical music in "non standard" locations. I have to say that knowing Mozart's Requiem intimitely and having heard it doezens of times this performance was as good as any. For classical music lovers this is a real treat in magnificant surroundings performed by very high quality artists. Highly recommended
