    Beautiful Mountain Views
The vernacular train and cable cars are a special treat. At the top of the Tyrol Alps one can see several countries on a clear day. Love this place.

    Best Tour in Innsbruck!!
Absolutely amazing tour!’ The tour guide had extensive knowledge of the history and so many other interesting facts. He only does small groups and is so attentive and answered all of our questions. We learned so much about beautiful Innsbruck and other areas to visit during our stay. Absolutely recommend doing this tour!!

    Thank you Alex
Alex made Innsbruck even more beautiful and interesting for us. He has a huge fund of information and history, and it felt like he tailored the tour to our particular interests. He was also great at suggestions for places he had figured out we would enjoy. We would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to make the most of their time in Innsbruck. It made so much difference to understand the history of Innsbruck and Tyrol.

    Breathtaking views
The Bergisel is a hill in Innsbruck; it's a nice beauty spot from where fantastic views can be contemplated. There is a huge ramp for holding ski jumping competitions. The ramp was designed by the architect Zaha Hadid and was inaugurated in 2003 to replace a smaller one which didn't meet the new ski jumping requisite requirements. The ski resort lies in an exhilarating part of the city of Innsbruck. Four battles fought in 1809 between Tyrolean rebels under the command of the freedom fighter Andreas Hofer and the Bavarian troops took place in the Bergisel area. A monument dedicated to that hero erected to commemorate the battles stands on the spot. About that particular personage, on the other hand, two fantastic pictures are displayed in the Innsbruck Zeughaus Museum: a portrait by Jakob Placidus Altmuter and that one depicting Hofer's execution in Mantua. The Bergisel Ski Jump is an architectural masterpiece. Apart from the ramp, there is a large stadium, to wit, the Olympic Ice Stadium, as well as the Tivoli Stadium. Many sport events take place in that ice complex, it being one of the most important winter sport facilities in the world. The Olympic ski jump has already been held three times in Bergisel, namely in 1964, 1976 and 2012. In addition to the sport facilities concerned, there is a restaurant on the top of the architectural structure. That restaurant has a terrace from which one can enjoy a breathtaking view of Innsbruck and of the landscape on the other side of the terrace. In order to accede to the restaurant and terrace it's necessary to take a funicular-like elevator and then a lift up to the restaurant level. During the elevator trip one can start enjoying the every time more wonderful view. Once on the terrace the view is, as stated above, breathtaking. From there it's possible to see the splendid Wilten Basilica and the Wilten Abbey, as well as other fantastic buildings lying further in the city center, such as St. James's Cathedral, the Jesuit church, the Hoffburg, and in general most of the Innsbruck historical center. The visit to Bergisel and particularly the trip to the mentioned terrace is thus thus highly recommendable if only to have the possibility to contemplate such an enchanting sight.

BEYOND ANY OF YOUR WILDEST DREAMS
Alex wasn’t only the most helpful, caring, brilliant tour guide of all times, but also he was like family for us. He was full of positive energy and charming personality, and would light up any room he walked into. His knowledge and experience for every location we visited was astonishing. If I would go again to Europe, I would want none other than Alex to guide me. 11 out of 10!!!

Peter Heuritsch had so many interesting stories!!!
Peter was by far one of the best tour guides we've ever had. He mentioned that he had to re-study European history for two years before being able to get a certification as a tour guide, and it showed. He was a wealth of information, and believe that what he taught us during the tour, our kids would never had learned in any American history class. Peter gave both historic facts/events as well as his family's perspective on life in Austria in the 20th century. Perhaps we enjoyed it because we love history and enjoy the details, if you love history, Peter is your guide! We loved him.

    Christine was great
A private group of 11 of us was fortunate enough to have Christine Bittner-Schott lead us for the day. She picked us up and dropped us off at the hotel. We already had a separate driver lined up. She gave us as requested a sound of music tour and Hallstatt tour. She was very informative, dressed in costume and very aware of our questions and needs. Enjoyed our day with her.

Barbara
