    Perfectly organized
This was such a smooth class! Everything was well prepped and timed. The soup was phenomenal and the two baked desserts were amazing!

    Great cooking class in Salzburg!
We had so much fun learning to make strudel and Salzburger Nockerl with Johan. It was delicious and can’t wait to make it at home.

    Great experience!
This was a fabulous experience! We loved the cooking school and our chef (Martin?). He was very thorough in his instructions, had a good sense of humor, demonstrated each process and then assisted us if needed. The place was very clean, all the necessary prep work was done, and there was ample room for each couple to cook at their own table. The apple strudel turned out delicious along with the Salzburger Nockerl (which I definitely want to make again).

    Wonderful afternoon!
This was a great start to our time in Salzburg. Tucked away in the side of a mountain we had a delightful time making strudel, along with another famed Salzburg dessert ( which unfortunately I can’t recall the name). But Saline was delightful and very personable. She did a great job with her instruction and meeting the needs of her guests. It was great fun making the strudel, including stretching the dough. I’ll have keep practicing at home to get better and not leave as many tears! This was a great way to spend time in Salzburg and a must do if you are looking for a unique opportunity outside the main activities in Salzburg. The food was very tasty too!

Learn How to Bake Two Traditional Recipes in Convivial Surroundings
My husband and I completely and unreservedly recommend this baking activity. The teachers are professionals and well prepared: the dough has already risen and rested and so was ready for us. After introductions and a well described visual lesson we were on our way to creating stretchable dough resulting in flaky strudel. There were about 14 of us and it was fun and well executed. We then watched how to make Salzberger Nockerl and made our own. We all dined on delicious goulash while the desserts were baking. Great success! It’s a lovely way to meet people and learn traditional recipes. A delightful afternoon.

Highly recommend! Great fun and easy to do!
This was so much fun and so informative! I would highly recommend this. My husband and I did it, and we had a blast. It was one of the bookings I hesitated about the most, and in the end, it was one of our favorites. You learn by watching and then you are guided through the process. You get to eat what you make at the end, and we had a glass of wine/beer to accompany our dishes. We also bought the cookbook to bring home. We have since made the recipes when we got back home to the US and because of the high level of instruction, we found it easy. The location is a bit hard to find, so give yourself a bit of extra time to arrive. When you walk in you will really enjoy how this place is tucked into the mountain, very cool!

    Wonderful class!
This was such a fun class! I do like to bake, so it definitely is geared toward my interest. My 19 year old daughter took the class with me and she has her few things that she baked, and she enjoyed the class, too. Our instructors were very clear on instructions and helpful when we ran into little snags, so I think most people can enjoy the class, at least the eating part of it. Haha! We learned some great techniques that I look forward to trying at home. Not only was it easy and fun, it was all delicious! While our strudel and Nockerl baked, we were served a delicious lunch of goulash. This also meant that we were pretty full. We couldn’t finish everything, but we did get to take our strudel with us. It made for a great breakfast, even though it wasn’t as fresh and flaky as when it first came out if the oven.. I think it says it in the notes, but be sure to bring cash to purchase any extras. We had not gone to the ATM, yet, so we weren’t able to get the little cookbook or anything else. Lastly, we got to meet other visitors and enjoyed our meal together.

    Outstanding experience
What a fun afternoon. I went solo and was paired up with a lovely young woman. We made a great team! The instructor was very nice, and patience. We actually learned to make two desserts. We had a delicious lunch and then we were sent home or to our hotel with leftovers. It was one of my favorite Germany adventures! I’m making it this weekend for my Cali family. Added bonus, the place is carved into a mountain.

The cooking class far exceeded our expectations. The staff was helpful and kind, making the cooking process a delight. The head chef made the atmosphere fun and was also informative. Overall an amazing experience that we highly recommend for anyone wanting to do something different while in Salzburg.

Excellent class for singles, couples, or families
We were visiting Munich from the US and decided to take a one day trip to Salzburg (bonus country during our trip!), and found this cooking class. It sounded perfect, learning new baking techniques and seeing beautiful scenery all on the same day. The class was excellent. The staff was very welcoming, organized, and clear in their approach. All ingredients were prepared and prepped, leaving just the fun part to us: adding sugar, raisins, and cinnamon to the pre-sliced apples... taking the prepared dough and stretching it to its paper-thin shape. Then rolling it all together and placing it in the baking pan. We even didn't have to watch the oven to make sure they weren't overbooked... the instructors took care of that while we prepared the second dessert, Salzburger Nockerl (?), which was also fun in a magical sort of way (whenever you see an ingredient transformed through your own hands). The lunch we were served was excellent, and then of course, eating our desserts was rewarding and delicious. Strong recommendation if you're in the area.

A great time learning to make authentic Austrian desserts!

    Fun for anyone!
We had a really fun time making Strudel and Salzburger Nockerl. The instructions and demonstrations were really clear and it was suitable for any level of baking experience. The Nockerl is an acquired tatse (think sweet scrambled eggs) which you will likely love or hate and the Strudel was delicious and plentiful. We took lots home with us and I continued to enjoy it over the next couple of days. The Goulash lunch was delicious too. A perfect way to spend the one rainy afternoon we had in Salzburg!

    A Wonderful Experience.
We had a wonderful experience at Edelweiss cooking school. The staff was nice/knowledgeable/ patient, the food was amazing, and everyone else participating in the class was very friendly as well. It was a fun, intimate, and relaxing experience. Many other events in Salzburg/Munich have micro transactions and I was pleased that there was no cost for “still” (tap) water. Everyone in our group loved the experience and our family can be tough. I was traveling with a HS boy, college student, and my husband.

The best way to discover Austrian specialties! The dishes are sophisticated and delicious, the beers are tasty and very original, and the explanations that go with them are top-notch. I really enjoyed it and I definitely recommend trying it while in Salzburg!

Had a great evening tasting the excellent beer selection alongside Jeff's thorough knowledge of the subject along with an excellent menu provided by Johann, most of which came from his own garden. Highly recommended if you want to do something a little different and away from the usual tourist spots.

Both Johan ( superb chef) and Jeff (very knowledgeable beer guide) make of this incredible sensorial experience a unique and personalised activity that can be enjoyed by everyone, ranging from those who are not used to beer, to beer enthusiasts. Goes without saying that the food course is Austrian and prepared witj seasonal ingredients.
