Nice tourist attraction and beautiful venue but if you are looking for a real classical music concert, unfortunately not good value for money. The interpretation of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons was not accurate nor harmonious.

In the birthplace of Mozart, I thought that this would be a good thing to do on my trip. It was and I'm so glad that I did it. The building and the marble room are both amazing just to look at and it's a very atmospheric venue. The music and musicians were enchanting and I feel that I got value for the money I paid. I'd recommend paying a little more for the seats nearer the muscians, if you can, so you can see both their expertise in action, as well as hearing it.

Dear Guest. Thanks a lot for your nice review of Salzburg Palace Concert. Did you know that the Mozart family performed here for Salzburg’s reigning archbishop? All the best Jochen Grüner

Our visit to Salzburg was built around this performance to hear the music of Mozart and others in the buildings for which they were originally designed. It was 3-4 songs from 3 different composers with Mozart as one with a trio of piano, violin and cello. It was amazing and then to realize the setting you were once heart them as originals. I will say in the summer the room got a little hot until one of the window was opened. Still it did not effect the performance in any way. Absolutely wonderful Salzburg MUST SEE.

Everything about the experience was absolutely wonderful! Due to a minor emergency, we arrived kind of late (2 or 3 minutes before the start) but the people at the counter were extremely kind and understanding. The performance was flawless, the place is nothing less than spectacular. I would definitely suggest this as a must in beautiful Salzburg.

Here I visited a concert inside of the Mirabell castle.
Another idea is to search for W. A. MOZART in the Google browser. You 'll find a lot of sightseeing objects about Mozart's birth place.

We went to half a dozen concerts in Vienna and Salzburg during our trip at this was the best.

The palace is now effectively the operating city hall of Salzburg. It's about a 10-minute walk from the oldest part of town (Mozart's house and all that). The setting is the 1606 Marble Hall in which Mozart played, and it's beautiful. The concert hall holds about 150 people, and there is no truly bad seat. You can reserve seats in the first few rows (from which you are just a meter or so away from the action, or you can opt for the less expensive general admission ticket, whose seating is first-come-first-serve.

The performance was about 2 hours, including a 15 minute intermission.

Attire was smart/casual. I wore a sport coat and trousers and felt perfectly attired; others had trousers and a sweater.

My understanding is that the performers change. The performance we saw was given by the 1756 Orchestra, which focusses on authentic sounds by using instruments from the day.

The musicians were very talented (world-class) and clearly enjoyed their craft.

The palace and gardens are magnificent and this concert is truly amazing. The musicians are excellent and the solo violinist is powerful and dramatic. Well worth seeing!
