Thank you I can only say thank you Bernie for this tour. We just had a blast. Very funny, still informative and a great tour leader. We had a wonderful time and you showed with enthusiasm why this is definitely one of the nicest areas in Europe. We could not have chosen it better.

A masterpiece We (family of 4) had a great time with Bernie during this tour. He was engaging, told us so much stories of King Ludwig and this palace. It is an absolute masterpiece of Kind Ludwig despite the fact that quite some parts are unfinished. Great visit there and fascinating surroundings and nature. We had a lovely lunch before enjoying a drive through the countryside back to Salzburg. An overall masterpiece of tour!

Easy and informative This tour was just perfect to my pace. My husband has difficulty with walking longer distances and this tour was just perfect. a bit of mixture between walking and then getting back into the car. Bernie was very accommodating and adapted everything to our sped. We may have not seen everything but we felt we did and all worked out smoothly.

The sound of music Our guide Carolin could make the new Julie Andrews! We had a great informative time and enjoyed this tour very much. She even sang a bit so that we really felt to be part of the movie. She really made it alive and had such a great time!

Wonderful visit We travelled with Gary to the Island of Herrenchiemsee. The boat trip was very pleasant, even if it was crowded on the Deck but still very pleasant. Gary had us booked on an English tour and there were only 4 more people with us. We were a group of 5 people. The guide was very engaging and easy to understand. The interiors are just outstanding and the museum inside give you quite some more information about the construction. It is included. I only find it a bit sad that king Ludwig had built here a great copy of Versailles and spent only 10 days there. Still worth every visit.

great combination I loved the layout of this tour. In the morning the city is not crowded and we really saw almost everything of this town by foot as well as by car. Then in the afternoon being the beautiful countryside and lake of Wolfgang. The pictures we took did not get catch the real beauty and they seemed to be already photoshopped.

What a fascinating area We saw already on a previous trip the palace of Neuschwanstein and learned there about this palace. We absolutely loved it, despite of the fact that some quite some parts are not finished but you’ll get an even better perspective of what it must have taken to build this palace on a island. This is one of the most relaxing tours that we did and really enjoyed it that way. The boat ride with spectacular views of the alps and then being able to drive through some of the valleys was a real treat. We also had absolutely no crowds, despite of the peak season. Thank you Bernie for your guidance and for such a relaxing day!

1) A dream came true! Since I had found out that Disney’s castle was on the basis of Neuschwanstein I wanted to go there. I knew that the drive is longer from Salzburg than fro Munich but still decided to get to good.

Special atmosphere I was taking this tour during the christmas time and it is such just a charming area. I loved the atmosphere of the lake Wolfgang. It felt like being in the middle of a Hallmark Christmas movie. the villages set up, the smell of local products around, snow caped mountains surrounding the lake and a great host of Bernie who made this tour even more into a movie set talk to some locals! Such a lot of history that I would have never realized without our excellent guidance.

I have been trying to give feedback but it's not showing, My experience with is tour was totally worst, I regret going with the tour, Everything was worst from the beginning to the end and i wish to give feedback so another person won't fall to the trap, and i try adding feedback but not showing.

Luckily the communication was great beforehand. Otherwise I would have come totally unprepared. The tour is fascinating and combining the fortress with the falcon show to the absolutely fascinating ice caves was great. But you have to know that there is quite some hiking involved. The hike from the parking lot to the cable car is quite ok but then from the cable car to the cave is steeper. Inside they have over 700steps to hike up in the cave and they are not easy.

We just had a blast! The tour was more than I could have ever asked for. From bringing back our child time memories to this stunning area and overviews from above. Our guide Gary was informative and entertaining at the same time. He really understood our pace and the amount of information we could take in. The highlight of our trip!

My kids (10 and 14) were entertained greatly by Bernie and really enjoyed the tour. This tour was also for us parents so relaxing. Bernie drove us to the lake of Chiemsee and then we did a boat ride on a historical chip before arriving to the island where Bernie showed us the church and the animals that my kids really enjoyed. We had a great time. Without Bernie’s guidance the palace would have been worth only half as the guide is doing a kind of standardized tour but Bernie showed us so many details that my kids were just blown away from that. A relaxing drive back through the countryside made this tour relaxing during our busy trip to Europe. Definitely worth taking!

My wife is a huge fan of the sound of Music and so can you see Salzburg without seeing the hills are alive? I did not want to go on one of the group tours (seem to cheesy for me). I booked with here and I was totally blown away. Bernie showed us the area and made then the hills really alive with spectacular views from the Rossfeld and the original field. We could definitely not ask for more and he stilled surprised us with more highlights. It was such a great day! There are not enough words to say how much I appreciated this tour (and not even being a big fan of the movie).

How can someone not fall in love with this area: Great guides. Alex was fabulous and such a fun person. He showed us whatever there is to see about the sound of music, played the songs for us and we got to see so much. I loved the abbey and the lunch that we had directly at the lake.When you come to Salzburg, take a tour and ask for Alex. It cannot get better than that!
