It was a wonderful four hours with the Von Trapp family story and sights. The combination of actual historical background along with Hollywood embellishments was enlightening. Was beautiful to see sites where it was filmed.

Such a great tour, highly recommend and they even have a singalong. So many great locations and our tour guide was so informative and personable

We enjoyed the Sound of Music Tour. The Austrian tour guide Peter was experienced and detailed with facts about the areas. The places visited were great. The lunch afterward was extremely nice in an old restaurant dating back to 1546. It was part of the tour purchased. We had the apple strudel, chicken schnitzel, and salad.

Hallstatt tour was nice. Definitely worth the cost for travel to get there. I have done local transportation in the past to save, but not for this one. 1.5 hrs away from Salzburg. Our tour guide OBrad was really good. I booked the 815am tour which I thought was a good idea, but the marketplace there was not ready for us to serve any food or drinks. I had to spend 30 Euros for an over prices cafe for desserts and coffee, soda. They didnt serve lunch either. Of course, once we finished eatting at the café, the marketplace foods were ready. Lessons learned. Beautiful town and had great views. Walked to the top where the Chapel was and took city pictures. Worth the tour.

We organized a day trip from Vienna and met Gerald at the train station. He was very knowledgeable about the filming & main cast members & even played tunes on the car radio. We were able to get him to take up to the Nonnberg Abby so we could see inside the church plus also to Basilika Sankt Michael. At the end he returned us to the train station for us to catch our train back to Vienna. Recommended

The experience was really good, took in lots of the iconic backdrops from the film, Kylie the tour guide was very knowledgeable and set the scene incredibly, her energy generated such a great atmosphere on the tour and everyone enjoyed singing along

This four hour experience is a good value. Not only does one see several of the locations used in filming, but the mountains, lakes and villages outside the city are stunning. Many of the songs from the movie are played on the bus and singing is encouraged. Our guide David, and driver Alex were welcoming, entertaining, and fun.

Fantastic tour with some behind the scenes info on the filming of the sound of Music as well as visiting some of the iconic sights from the film. Incredible views and a gorgeous stop in Munsen to see the church where the wedding scenes were filmed. Well worth the money especially as you will see more of the city thatn you do if your without a car. Tour guide Dave was great and a big thank you to our driver Alex.

Bridget was our tour guide and she was extremely knowledgeable and a good sense of humor too. Do a private tour was perfect for our elderly parents. We stopped at some great spots, learnt lots about the sound of music even though I thought I know heaps!!! Thoroughly enjoyed the tour, we all did.

Hallstatt is a beautiful village, a picture perfect place on the lake in the mountains. However, it only exists for tourists, every day lots of buses bring people to the village to wander around and take photos, then, 2 hours later, they get back on the bus and more arrive. So if you’re looking for an authentic, unspoilt experience, this isn’t it because the village is packed full of people taking photos. As for this trip, you are paying £65 per person for a coach to take you there, leave you for 2 hours, then take you back to Salzburg. The guide was informative but there are much cheaper ways to get to Hallstatt and back - you could take the train, or, if there are 2 or more of you, then getting a taxi or renting a car would be more cost effective. If you do take this trip, make sure you arrive at the meeting point 30 minutes before the bus departs to ensure you get a seat

A truly memorable experience. A must do if you’re coming to Salzburg for Sound Of Music fans and a great way to see the surrounding area. Our guide was very knowledgable and really made the tour.

Once again a great tour our guide Conor was exceptional knowledgable friendly and funny. There were 8 of us and we all had a fantastic time, even if you didn’t like the sound of music the sights especially the lakes were amazing Thank you The Shower curtain team

The Sound of Music tour guide Kayden (I think) and driver Alex were wonderful. Kayden had a great sense of humour, well spoken and very informative. Hallstat not so much. The guide (not sure if his name) elderly gentleman was late arriving to the bus and his English lacked correct pronunciation as well as he just went through the motions and done. Lucky the Sound of Music was so much fun, made up for the morning tour.

Thank you, Kadien and Evo for a wonderful experience! The tour is a perfect blend of Sound of Music stops and general touring of the beautiful lake region. You don’t have to be a huge Sound of Music fan to enjoy it.
