      Must see for movie fans!
This tour exceeded our expectations! We traveled with 44 people in a comfortable bus to many of the locations for the movie. Our guide was fantastic and the bus driver very friendly. Highly recommend as a must see in beautiful Salzburg!

We did the Sound of Music Tour with Leopold and he was fantastic. His enthusiasm and depth of knowledge were unbelievable! If you are interest in the story of the Von Trapp family this is the tour for you!!

The best tour for Sound of Music fans!
This tour was AMAZING! Perfect for anyone who loves The Sound of Music, or just wants to see a little more of Salzburg while singing along to Julie Andrews! The tour guide was brilliant! Very informative and fun, keeping us smiling with anecdotes from filming of the Sound of Music, and singing along with the soundtrack! I would highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting the beautiful Salzburg! It’s one not to be missed!

      So much fun!
This was a blast!!! We learned so much about Salzburg and other areas in Austria and loved all the information our guide gave us! The bus was comfortable and smooth. Of course, all of the Sound of Music details were the best and this excursion was well worth it!

Thank you Antonio for a wonderful afternoon exploring.
Definitely one of the highlights of our time in Salzburg! We were incredibly lucky to have Antonio as our guide and also to have our booking become a virtual private tour as we were the only people on this trip. We were taken in an immaculately clean and comfortable luxury Mercedes which enabled Antonio to take us to some otherwise inaccessible spots. His knowledge of the area was amazing and made the whole experience a wonderful eye opener to this beautiful region.

Good Times with the sound of Music
The overall experience was great. The tour guide was very knowledgeable on the theme, and we had a fun sing-along. We visited the places from "The Sound of Music," but we were only able to see them from the outside. Even in January these places were picture perfect.

Seeing movie 60 years ago, comes alive with your tour
Dave the bus host, was full of life and energy. We had afternoon tour, had advantages of beautiful sunset views but disadvantage it was dark for last stop at Gardens. I would recommend to have words to the songs available, it would help in singing fully, which was fun!

Only drive by of the sites
We didn’t get to see any of the sites up close at all! Most things was just a drive by where we had to take photos from the bus window. I guess that’s what you get for booking a tour with 65 other people, the bus probably can’t go up the roads, and they can’t herd the people around in time if they did bring us up close. But fortunately the guide was quite amusing and I did learn a lot of fun facts about the movie but that’s the only thing I liked about it.

Great tour and something for everyone
We loved this tour! Really varied and an informative, funny host made it a trip to remember. Not all my family are Sound of Music fans but they enjoyed the sightseeing element and brief history of Salzburg. Would highly recommend.

LET’S START FROM THE VERY BEGINNING
THIS IS A SUPERB TOUR! We started off in the morning to Hallstatt and it snowed so the view was so pretty~ literally felt like I was in the Frozen movie. The Skywalk was amazing as well and I witnessed a wedding proposal up there. The guide was very friendly and driver was great too. Thankful for that. We had 2.5hours to explore the town when we reached and made it back to Salzburg at about 1.40pm, just in time to catch the 2pm bus for the Original Sound of Music tour. It was just magical being on this bus, singing along to the tunes with the lovely guide who was so young-spirited and fun-loving. The driver also was having so much fun helping us create great atmospheres for the songs to sing with. I really hope they make a 60th anniversary video and have a great celebration for this wonderful movie:) if ever there’s a remake, I hope that it will still be just as good^^ HIGHLY RECOMMEND ALL to join this tour!

      Experience of a lifetime
Bridgette was amazing from singing on the bus to cracking the best jokes! I was proposed to a the Mondsee church on Christmas Eve and our guide was incredible at taking photos. This was a bucket list item and I recommend to everyone.

If you love the Sound of Music, this tour is perfect!
The tour was so fun! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and since we were a small group we were in a van which made it very personal where we could ask lots of questions too. We combined it with the half day Halstatt tour which I highly recommend.

Such an amazing tour. The tour took us up the mountains to which I did not expect. The guide was knowledgable and fun. The Church were the wedding took place was like nothing on earth. Would I do it again? On a heartbeat thank you

The combo tour is very convenient. The first half of the day was Berchtesgaden and the salt mines. Only 30 minutes to wander around Berchtesgaden itself. I would have liked to spend more time exploring the town and if you want to get a quick glance around it's not bad. The mine tour is very interesting. There is an option for not sliding if you don't want to.

Once we returned from the first part the Sound of Music tour was next. If you are here in the winter time I recommend booking this separate as when you return to Mirabell Garden it is dark and the garden is not well lit. However the tour itself is fun, informative, and offers some amazing countryside views. Well worth doing it you have a short amount of time in Salzburg.

Salzburg also has many historic places, so I would like to plan a more leisurely itinerary. It has been more than 50 years since I saw the movie "The Sound of Music", and I would like to visit more locations that bring back such memories.
Hallstatt was also fresh, and from the observation deck I took the cable car to the town below, I walked along a steep, winding gravel path through the trees. As I went down, the steep mountains on the opposite bank, the lake surface, and the houses gradually came closer to me, creating a dramatic scene.
Lunch at a table on the deck of a lakeside restaurant, while watching the pleasure boats and swans floating on the lake, filled my heart with peace.
Afterwards, I lay down on the grass behind the church for a few minutes and enjoyed a stroll around the town.

Panorama fill the coaches to full capacity so some people/families were not seated together this included us. Our tour guide for the morning was Daniel he was very nice but spoke quickly and was sometimes hard to follow
On the journey the driver dropped the people who were visiting
    The eagles nest first.
The coach then preceded to the salt mines. This tour was very good. We entered the mine by train then a walk then a wooden slide, a boat ride on the lake another slide then back up by funicular railway.
On the way back to Salzburg the coach stopped to pick up the people who were on the Eagles nest tour, another stop was at a village for refreshments or just wonder.
Then back to Salzburg for our afternoon Sound of Music tour.
The coach was full but Single traveler’s sat together. This time we were able to sit with our friends. Simon was our guide he was brilliant very informative and also very entertaining. The film locations were spectacular.
We all had a great time.

The salt mine tour was so much fun. They take you to a ute little town after as well. The Sound of Music with our tourguide Zoey was fantastic. She sang along to the music, was funny and you could tell she enjoyed her job. I would 100% recommend this tour to anyone. This was the highlight of my trip to Salzburg.

A day of two perfect halves!

Firstly I want to say thank you to Leopold, our knowledgeable and hugely entertaining guide. It felt like a private tour as there were only 6 of us in total! Leo, or the Old fox 😜, lead us to Berchtesgaden Salt Mine via a superb stop to view Kehlsteinhaus, high above Berchtesgaden. The visit to the Salt mine was both interesting and enjoyable. The visit consisted of a weird train-like ride into the mine, two crazy slides to reach further into the depth of the Alps and a magical boat ride as well as lots of information on the workings of the mine over the past 500 years. We also got to spend an hour in Berchtesgaden which was my husband’s idea of heaven as he has researched lots of the history of this town. We thoroughly enjoyed our morning and would definitely recommend a visit.

After a brief pit stop, we then headed on the second part of our day- the Sound of Music tour. The coach was full and the atmosphere was amazing- genuine excitement and love for the Sound of Music. I felt quite emotional as the bus set off and I have to say the tour far exceeded my expectations. Mitch was our guide for this tour and he had a genuine charisma and shared his excellent knowledge with confidence and humour. It was interesting to learn not only of the history of the Sound of Music film but also the real life events of Maria Von Trapp. I loved all the stops- and it was planned to perfection. As we travelled out to the countryside, and with the soundtrack playing in synch, my smile widened and my heart was singing!!! Thank you Mitch and not forgetting Mickey, ( you’re so fine! 😜) for a magical afternoon.

The tour is not cheap but it was worth every penny!

Birgit was our guide for the morning tour to Berchtesgaden Salt Mine to begin our full day tour ( which also included Sound of Music in the afternoon). There were only us (2) and another english couple on the tour. She was a wonderful host, focused on ensuring we were well informed and having a great time. She was always able to provide helpful information and answer our questions and pointed out other sights on the way. We enjoyed the salt mine tour especially the train, slides and boat ride over the lake. A fun morning out with added value from Birgit. What we didn’t realise is there was going to be an opportunity to be guided by Birgit in the afternoon also. But, we returned for our second tour a little early and got scooped up by another guide. This tour was very disappointing and tarnished the shine for the day. On some stops the relevance wasn’t clearly explained and it all felt a bit like the guide was going through the motions and just driving us, rather than guiding. There was also a racist “joke”, that we really didn’t appreciate.

Thank you for joining our tours and taking time to bring your experience to our attention. We are very pleased that they had a good time with Birgit and at the same time are appalled by the bad joke our guide made in the afternoon. We will of course question this guide and also retrain him, but we would like to take this opportunity to apologize for the inappropriate behavior which does not correspond to the philosophy of our company. Thank you again for your review and we hope to welcome you back to Salzburg soon !!!

Enjoyed both the tours. There was ample of time to have lunch while awaiting the next tour. The salt mines was a smaller group hence it was easier to control. The SOM was large however credit to Mr. Antonio for doing an amazing job for both the tours. If he is your guide, your tour would be fun filled, guaranteed!

This wasn’t a bad tour (the Sound of Music), but more information going into it would have been helpful. At the end of the tour we were shown a video excerpt from the Sound of Music that talked about the filming locations. Viewing this at the start of the tour would have been helpful.

We really enjoyed the salt mine tour! It was our young daughter’s favorite part of the tour. Learning the history of how important salt was to the region was fascinating.
