Thomas was a very knowledgeable tour guide about the subject matter as well as the way to get the best experience. He was very passionate about giving us his knowledge. We learned a lot about the area that we didn’t know before. This was not the guide’s fault but in the beginning it was a bit hard to hear him in the microphone, the sound equipment could benefit from upgrades. Thomas had educational resources available to show us how the area changed that was incredible to see.

The trip is very well organised and the guide was very informative and amusing . Hallstätt is beautiful and we had two and a half hours free time to look around which is ample. The drive to and from Hallstatt takes you through some stunning scenery. It was very busy when our tour visited but it was to be expected .

View was great on the way up. On top, we encountered low clouds. So no view at all. Had lunch in Bertchesgaden, which was amazing.

The day I joined this tour there was a small mini-van in service. It was overcrowded and air conditioning barely worked, so the driving itself was far less than ideal, with 34°C outside and nine people without air conditioning. Along the way to the mine, we did not stop in the most scenic places, but rather in other places related to the 20th century history of Germany (WW II). Explanation / comments from the driver and tour guide were just focused on the funny or political side of what we were seeing. Once we arrived at the mine, I was left there by myself (I was the only person visiting the mine, they mixed two different tours just to fill-up the minivan). As soon as I exited from the mine, the driver/guide was already there waiting for me, so I did not have any time to visit the mine shop. The only positive part of the trip was the last stop - we had 50 minutes free time in the village of Berchtesgaden. This review only relates to the trip part - I'm reviewing the visit to the salt mine and Berchtesgaden separately.

The Sound of Music tour was fantastic. We had a terrific guide—I can’t remember his name but he was raised down under in Sydney—who was insightful and entertaining. Kudos to the driver as well.

Caroline, the tour guide was top notch!!! So knowledgeable and speaks well. She made the whole thing work!!!!! She must have been a teacher or professor of history. So interesting. She didn't hold back talking about everything! I would recommend this tour with Caroline to anyone!!

So...with my wife and daughter (23) on a day trip to Salzberg from Berchtesgaden. Suprise booking by my daughter...but...very enjoyable and hat off to Connor...great guide from Cork...possibly west Cork! So the tour is well run. No time wasting. Stops were well planned and time at each spot worked well. Now...if like us you'd only a day to spend...whether u like the movie or not...the sights are worth it. its a really quality tour and worth the effort. So 5 stars. And if u get Connor you'll have a blast...plus he is very knowledgeable all things the movie.

This tour was everything we thought it would be. It was very informative, wonderful sights and all about the sound of music. We sang laugh and enjoyed.

Me & my mom did the 9:15am tour & we loved it. Our tour guide, David, was awesome & kept things entertaining & fun on the bus. He also shared a wealth of information about the history of Salzburg, the history of the sound of music & the various sites we visited & how they play a part in the movie. Some of the city sites you view on the bus & then you head into the countryside. We got off for photo opps at 5 sites. The last one before returning, you get off the bus for ~1 hour to roam the town, grab a drink, etc. they also have drinks of the bus to purchase (cash only). The 4th site in the town mentioned above only takes cash & if you want to tip at the end of the tour, that’s in cash too. So, I would take cash. Also, no eating on the bus. I highly recommend this tour & this company if you enjoy the movie!

This was the best tour and so much fun! Singing along with everyone, great tour guide and even seeing the Lake District was fabulous.

A very enjoyable tour covering iconic sound of music locations and alpine scenery. Singing encouraged. Connor was a great guide who provided an informative and entertaining commentary and Alex was a great driver.

Great experience all round. I have always wanted to do this as it reminds me of my grandma so dragged my husband along and he thoroughly enjoyed it. There’s lots of information about the area as well as the s o m and the scenery is stunning. Good balance of information, getting on and off bus, sights and songs. Well organised and an excellent tour guide who looked just like Boris Johnson (don’t hold that against him🤣). We were very lucky to see a festival and even form part of the procession 🤣

We had a great time on this tour. It was fun, but not hokey, just the right amount of music and humor. Our tour guide, Simon, included some stories of past tours that made it humorous and historical. There were a lot of opportunities for pictures and videos.

The views alone were worth the trip. I enjoy history and visiting historical places so I definitely recommend this tour for anyone who feels similar!
