Excellent Trip
Dec 2019
Were picked up on time and were soon on our way. This tour around the area of Pathos served as a very good introduction to this area. It is a pity we could not have gone at the start of our first holiday in Cyprus but at this time of year it is only run once a week. We choose it because of the other good reviews and it did not disappoint. There were a handful of Russian speakers and they had their own guide. Our guide was very knowledgeable and gave us excellent information on our visits. The first stop was to a potter who threw three or four pots giving a limited commentary, there shop was interesting with many unique items. on to to a domed church where our guide came into her own giving us a very comprehensive history of the church we then had a little time in an adjacent sweetmaker. We also visited a traditional house which I did feel was really just a house that had not been modernised, however the 'brunch' of bread, olives, pastry and traditional coffee plus a bit of fire water was very nice. We also had a visit to a Monastery and finally a winery where the very knowledgeable young owner gave us an insight into their methods of winemaking followed by a tasting. The wine was very well priced and very drinkable.
We were given some time at each stop but never too long. Just long enough to consider a purchase or two. There were toilets at each stop too just in case.
We really felt we had had an interesting but not stressful day.
I would thoroughly recommend this to any first time visitor to Pathos area

Smashing Trip
Sep 2019
From the moment our guide Mary introduced herself until we left the winery, this was a most enjoyable trip. Our wonderful guide imparted her extensive local knowledge throughout the tour. The Pottery demonstration was fascinating with the impassioned potter and you have a chance to buy his wares. At Yeroskypou village we visited their pretty church and the traditional sweet factory tour was informative and the samples were a delight (do not call them Turkish). Sofia’s traditional village house was charming, as was Sofia and her family, their light lunch with traditional coffee was lovely. The monastery was as expected but the coffee shop was very nice. The winery talk was very instructive and we had to taste 4 wines – what a chore! The tour really was an Authentic Taste of old Cyprus.

This day out included a traditional breakfast in an unusual house with very welcoming hosts. A winery tour and wine tasting at the end of the day was excellent, as was the pottery demonstration at the start of the tour.

Don't trust the shots lol
Good trip. Started off with a pottery visit where the potter was passionate about his trade.

Went on to Geriskipou where we visited a church and a loukoumi shop... the ouzo sweets proved very popular!

A drive took us to Sophia's house, where we had an included brunch of freshly made halloumi and bread. Her home is very traditional, and although she doesn't speak much English her smile and welcome were empowering.

Be warned though ... if her husband offers you a shot beware! It's firewater!

Next was a trip to a monastery.. from the car park it's a 250m climb so we opted to stay at the cafeteria next to the car park, where we passed a pleasurable 45 minutes shaded by leafy trees and enjoying freshly squeezed orange juice along with apple pie and ice cream.

Last but not least was a winery stop... lots of tasting and plenty to buy.

€25 and we booked our trip in the paphos bus station.

A pleasant day out.

MUST DO TOUR
Oct 2019 • Solo
I cannot recommend this tour enoug noh! It was absolutely fantastic! You get so much tour for so little money.Sofia's house is like a museum and Sofia herself is one lovely lady. Her bread and Halloumi are to die for! The church and monastery are beautiful. The pottery, sweet factory and winery are all informative and brilliant.Plenty of opportunity to buy authentic things,so take plenty of money (I wish I had done!) This is a definite "must do" tour. You certainly won't regret going on this

Value for money
Sep 2019 • Friends
My mum and myself took this trip as visiting other countries isn't all about baking in the sun. This is a great trip to take, our tour guide was excellent. We got a real taste of cyprus and their wine. In fact we bought 4 bottles of wine. Sofia fed us well, which was in the afternoon not breakfast, but was lovely. If your shoulders and knees are not covered clothing is provided at the church and monastery. The Turkish delight is amazing, especially the ouzo one. All in all it was a lovely day and definitely great value for money.

We were fortunate to have Oona as the guide for our small party. She was so knowledgeable and engaging which really made the trip. Loved the pottery demo and winery tour in particular.
