- MalcolmT9640 contributionsWell worth considering these tours as they offer a very good service at reasonable prices.Luxury coach, excellent tour guide and a very competent driver. The guide, Sophia, explained everything as we traveled and we learned a lot of the local history. We had considered hiring a car but this is a much better way of finding things out.Written February 21, 2025

- Tour045617902910 contributionsEnjoyed much more than expectedUsually stay away from big tour groups, but this one ran smoothly and allowed a good deal of independent exploring compared to what I would have expected. The sites of course are well worth seeing, and the trip ran very smoothly.Written November 19, 2024
- heids89_0 contributionsGreat trip with Zofia! We had a great trip with Zofia, very knowledgeable tour guide with lots of interesting facts. Saw 3 beautiful monasteries. Some scenic views and a lovely spot for lunch at a local restaurant. Also stopped at a very cute town called Omodos and tried some delicious homemade cakes. These are a must try in you’re in town!! Only downside was the bus was so hot, not sure why as it was not too hot outside.Written November 15, 2024
- PhilM6820 contributionsThe 50-year ghostHaving arrived at my Paphos hotel at 9 p.m. on arrival, at 7.45 the next morning I was picked up and taken on an 11.5-hour trip diagonally across the island. The ghost city of Varosi was astounding, a resort unused for 50 years and with hotels still damaged from the conflict, the ghost village we passed scarcely less so. Salamis and Famagusta were both very interesting. Vassos our guide was impressively well-informed and gave us the context from a Greek Cypriot viewpoint. My only problem was that the rest of week was less interesting.Written November 11, 2024
- johnuE2562ZT0 contributionsA step back into Cyprus’s past, both recent and anxientThe most amazing trip across the length of the island and into the de facto Turkish part. Amazing sights of ancient history, notably Salamis, and not so great sights of more recent history in the abandoned town of Varosha. So sad to witness, but important all the same in understanding Cyprus’s past. Vassos, our guide has a wealth of knowledge which we all benefitted from. Fitos did a brilliant job of getting the rather large coach through seemingly impossible gaps. Very well done to both A very full day, but worth every minute, from 7.30 in the morning to nearly 8 in the evening.Written November 2, 2024
- BarbL510 contributionsGood communicationSorry can’t review the tour as it was cancelled due to under attended. I can how ever give4stars for the information and apology from the company when contacting me. Also the fast return of my payment. Thank youWritten October 16, 2024
- BeckyO_Wanderlust0 contributionsA must-do trip!Absolutely brilliant trip, I forgot the driver's name, but both the driver and guide, Vasos, we're friendly and welcoming. Very detailed tour with lots of information. Vasos was very good with the timings and itinerary, being very clear on how long we were visiting a particular spot and how long until the next spot. So much knowledge provided on each site. A long day - but definitely worth it.Written October 11, 2024
- SMArDaith0 contributionsWell organised and interesting tripA long day, but we really enjoyed it all! The bus was comfortable and air conditioned, and we were able to leave belongings on there when getting off at each of the stops which was very handy. Guide was lovely, experienced and knowledgeable. It was very interesting to hear more about the history of the island and the situation today in the north. Definitely recommend.Written October 4, 2024
- 147hristoh0 contributionsVery good experienceNice, very informative and well organized trip. The guide has good sense of humor. May be the time, spent in Varosi was to short, but if were staying more, the excursion will be to long.Written October 1, 2024

Thank you Qualiday and Sofia for this great day!!! While driving on the bus, we learned a lot of interesting facts about Cypriot history in general and not just about the places we visited. Personally, I would have preferred to spend more time in Kourion and perhaps skipped Kolossi Castle, but everyone's preferences are different and it's a group tour at an unbeatable price. There's not much to see in the castle, but there aren't that many castles in Cyprus and it's on the way. But Kourion is absolutely amazing, you could easily spend half a day here: ancient mosaics, amphitheaters, breathtaking views of the sea...
After that, we spent a good two hours in Limassol, where we had free time. On the way back, of course, we stopped at the most famous place in Cyprus: Aphrodite's Rock. According to legend, this is where the goddess of love came into the world. Whether that was true or not, the place is just beautiful... If I come back, I would definitely book other tours with Qualiday.

My wife and I, both of us in our mid-sixties, booked this trip through our Mercury Holiday’s rep at our hotel for a cost of €26 each, which we thought was amazing value for this all day tour. The coach arrive shortly after the pick-up time we were told, which wasn’t a problem as the weather was fine. The coach was clean and comfortable, and we were soon on our way to Kourion, which was our first port of call. Sofia, our tour guide, was excellent throughout the day giving us an endless stream of information both on and off the coach. We spent a fair amount of time at Kourion, and Sofia made it interesting with her dialogue on what we were viewing. We got some wonderful photos of the ruins and the amphitheatre. Then it was on to Kolossi Castle, where we decided not to go in, but instead had a coffee and cake at the small café beside the castle for a very reasonable price. After the castle we made our way to Limassol where we all broke off on our own to explore the city. My wife and I had a lovely walk around the city, and lunch in a great little eatery called Petros, which we can highly recommend. After lunch we took a stroll alongside the harbour until it was time to get on the coach again. Finally, before returning to Paphos, we stopped off at Aphrodite’s Rock, which broke the journey back up nicely. All in all it was a really great day out for a fantastic price, and we would both thoroughly recommend this trip.

Fun 7 hour day trip to Limassol via Kourrion amphitheater, Kolossi Castle and the Baths of Aphrodite ❤️ lovely guide Sophia talked us through the history of the places we visited and showed us round. Two and a half hours in Limassol independent looking at markets and the port. Plenty of time for lunch. The only down side was the time allotted to Kourrion, Kolossi and Aphrodite baths, around 30 mins in each. But it gives you a taste of the region and you can go back again more easily having already visited. I would definitely recommend.

I would have rated the experience 5 stars but unfortunately, it was marred by one rude incident before we even started the journey. It was when a lone passenger was requested to move to allow a couple to sit together. When she refuses, the driver came and made a threat that he won't move the coach unless she moves. I found the situation was handled really poorly and had aggravated other passengers (who later followed the driver's behaviour and verbally attacked her). This lady had been singled out, and when she refused to cooperate, the organiser should have tried other ways to deescalate i.e. asked other passengers to volunteer to swap seat.
Other than that, they had been very professional. There were 2 tour guides, English and Russian speakers. Very knowledgeable and gave lots of factual information about the history of Kourrion and Kolossi Castle. We were then stopped at Limassol city for almost 2.5 hours of free time where one can explore the marina, museum, Limassol Castle, and shops/restaurants on the old market.
There was also a great storytelling session on Aphrodite and her lovers from the Guide, on our way back to see the Aphrodite Rock Art. The weather could have been more forgiving but it is December/wintertime, and at this point, we got rain and dark clouds. To cap it off, the coach got seriously stuck on mud thus we had to wait for a substitute coach (which was followed by a rescue giant digger) to drove us back to the hotels.

The trip was very good with lots of useful information from Sofia. As others have mentioned, it was very fast paced and there were only 2 hours to be in Limassol which included finding somewhere for lunch. I’d suggest making this part 3 hours at Limassol deserves more time. We left Aphrodite’s rock at 3.10pm and back by 3.30pm so it was quite a quick day out. However, it was good fitting in so many places and I’d definitely recommend it.

I enjoyed the trip on the whole and good value. BUT sometimes found it difficult to understand the tour guide’s English and also would have liked much more knowledgeable information about the places we were visiting.
When we stopped in Limassol we were taken around a sponge shop and down some streets and then left without being given clear instructions as to how to find our way back to the coach. Nearly missed it along with another person on the tour who had also got lost.

Thank you for your review. Always we encourage customer s to gives us their comments and where is needed we investigate further. Reference points raised need to say that Guide’s overall rating over the years doing the same excursions plus others is excellent and we have a very good reason to believe what ever happened was just a misunderstanding. Needless to say that the remarks of other customers in same tour were excellent.

I went here on my final day in Cyprus. We started off at Kurion which we only saw a little bit of it although still good, then the drive to Kolossi castle was very short. the narrow stairs in the castle were quite difficult to get down and up for not that much of a big place although still good. (Kolossi castle was not a tour) Once again the drive to Limassol was very short, you get dropped of at the old town and came back in 2.5 hours after exploring by yourself. (Not at all enough time.) The staff were very talkative and told very interesting facts.

Thank you for your comments. You suggestion is noted but unfortunatly, Kourion need long hours to see it and time allocated is adequate to visit the old port area/castle or Marina

Having read other reviews, I already sort of new what to expect. Value for money but not enough time at Kourion. Only allowing for 35 mins was not enough t yonder a site the you should allow at least 2 hours for. The time at Limmasol was far to long and there is not much to see after the castle. The time at Kolossi castle was perfect. Stopping off at Aphrodite’s alleged birth place seemed a bit pointless and rushed. However, overall, you cannot fault the value and sites visited , given the there is no other excursion like this offered from Paphos.

Thank you for your feedback. Your suggestion is noted but need to clarify that the corresponding tour is of a general nature to sweet a variety interests and not just archelogical park. In fact to have a fair view of the kourion you will need atleast 4-5 hours!

This is a good day out to give an idea of what Limassol is like. I felt the day was a bit rushed with limited time at each of the stops. I would have preferred less time in Kurion and more time in Limassol as time is needed to have lunch with didnt leave much time for sightseeing in Limassol. Maybe the duration could be extended by an hour.

Unfortunately, the pick-up was not as promised at the hotel or at the nearest possible meeting point... and you only notice this after the Booking Referral. Had to run 1.5 km in the heat. Therefore worse review. Visiting the archaeological sites interesting and well explained. However, sometimes very 'class trip character'.
