There's nothing like tasting fresh, warm halloumi straight out of the pot and on this small group tour there'll be plenty to enjoy throughout the day! You'll be picked up from a Larnaca location of your choice and driven into the Troodos mountain countryside to the cheese-making workshop of a village local. You’ll take part in the process from start to finish and the experience will end with a delicious brunch which will include the cheeses made plus lots more.
The activities don't end there as you'll be taken further into the mountain villages to visit other local producers and the quaint village of Lefkara or Omodos (village visited will depend on our route on your specific tour date). A day full of fun & flavour is guaranteed!

It’s a great way of visiting the mountains, getting to know the culture and gastronomy while being in good company and with a small group which makes it more enjoyable to share. Georgina our tour guide was very passionate and friendly and made the tour super enjoyable. We really really enjoyed the day, especially thanks to our wonderful guide Anna. She was well informed, fluent and very friendly - someone you actually want to spend time with! She was also very open to our suggestions for improvement. Whilst we love the idea of supporting local farms and projects, we found that the animal welfare at such places is somewhat lacking. Particularly with the goats and dogs on the Halloumi farm. The goats could do with more space to roam (which we understand can be a challenge for a family run farm on such a small scale). We also noticed that the family had about 10 dogs running around the farm. Some were very skinny and obviously in need of food and care. We think it could be a great idea for the tour organisers to liaise with the farm to improve conditions for the animals as we believe it would improve attendees experience considerably.

We are really happy you enjoyed your time with Anna and really appreciate the positive comments! Having spent much time at the farm in question... we can assure you that the animals here are very well cared for and it has been a shock to read your comments... The goats and sheep spend most of the day in the surrounding hills and fields (endless space) and it seems that because you arrived at the time of milking you assumed they are in the holding space constantly? The "skinny" dogs are also free to roam and are fed as they should be - we understand that you might be more familiar with plumper domesticated animals but it is not fair to assume that this is actually normal and farm dogs that spend their time running around free and appear "skinny" is not normal :/ Any animal would be lucky to find a home at this beautiful farm location with freedom, safety and a family that cares for them. We will of course mention your comments to the family so they are aware but I have also consulted your guide for her opinion and she did not feel your assessment of the conditions was fair :(

The halloumi making class was a great experience. Participating in this very traditional method of making this cheese that has become a favourite world wide was very heartwarming.
The rest of the day was also exciting with the visit to the donkey farm and the beautiful village of Lefkara.
Our tour guide, Panicos, was very knowledgeable, and very accommodating. His gentle, caring nature made everyone feel comfortable and we mingled and had fun.

We had an absolutely lovely time. Friendly and passionate local guide and a great visit to a charming family farm where halloumi has been made for generations. The visit to the Bee farm was surprisingly informative and interesting, and all the other stops were well worth it. I can highly recommend this day-long trip as one of the must-does if you have only a couple of days or a week in Cyprus.

An excellent tour in all respects. Our guide , Helena, was super-professional, very experienced and she shared some very interesting knowledge about Cypriot culture and traditions with us. We travelled in a very comfortable modern vehicle and Helena was also a very good, safe driver. The cheesemaking was the highlight for me, the daughter of the household was very patient and showed us all the processes and techniques for making delicious cheeses and the brunch was very generous and delicious. The young couple who keep bees were also excellent hosts, explaining beekeeping very well. But we also went to an organic olive farm, the Lefkara lace making traditional village and 'Golden Donkeys' donkey sanctuary - all interesting and worth visiting!

The company were terrific from start to finish!
The communication leading up to the tour was clear, concise and welcoming.
Our pick up point was easy to get to and full directions given.
The mini van was clean, air conditioned and comfy and they even honoured my request for my husband to sit up front as he gets travel sick.
Our guide Theodora was lovely! She spoke excellent English, was polite, funny and engaging and throughly knowledgable about every aspect of the tour.
The tour itself was amazing! So many different stops and experiences but not rushed or left wanting.
The cheese making is hilarious, be prepared to be fully hands on and the family who host you are so friendly and welcoming!
The guide takes lots of photos which are then emailed to you, allowing you to enjoy the day in front of the camera for a change.
A definite must for anyone wanting to experience some true Cypriot hospitality.

What an amazing day.
We were a small group of 5 plus guide (quite snug in the small people carrier if you are on the larger side).
The Halloumi making class was great fun and very informative, we saw the Sheep and Goats that produce the milk and were able to cuddle a 1 week old kid. We also had the cheeses we made served at the brunch.
We then went to the Bee farm which was very educational and we were able to taste (and buy) the honey.
A stop at an olive farm was also made which again was very good and lots of products available to purchase.
Lefkara Village was very pretty and lots to see, we stopped at a lovely little lemonade stall and purchased fresh lemonade which was delicious. Free time was given to do some shopping for lace, jewellery etc.
Finally the Donkey Farm which was lovely, we fed cucumber to the donkey and were able to see many baby donkeys along with goats, chickens etc. An informative talk on the products was given along with time to purchase any products.
It was a very full day and good value for money. Our guide was very good and he had lots of knowledge that he shared with us.

This is one of the best tours I’ve been on! It was very personal and included myself and another couple, which is much better than a large tour bus. I learned so much about how to make halloumi cheese and we visited all different kinds of farms in the villages of Larnaca-bee farm, olive farm, and a donkey farm. All farm and staff were wonderful and such a great way to familiarize yourself with the Cypriot culture. This is a tour that I highly recommend!

Absolute must when going to Cyprus, we did so much in one day not only halloumi making on a small family farm, but also visiting a bee farm, olive oil tasting, touring the small village of Lefkara, and visiting a donkey farm too. Tried some unique products, and learnt lots. Panico was our guide (small group of only 4 people inc us) and he was just the best- funny, great English, and so knowledgeable and friendly, could see his passion for sharing Cyprus with us. The whole team are so responsive to any issues especially via WhatsApp and are there to make your time easy and enjoyable. 10/10 will be recommending to everyone I know who will be visiting Cyprus.

This is possibly the best organised tour we have been on - not only in Cyprus but any holiday in the last 10 years. Our guide was amazing, very knowledgeable and very friendly. The halloumi making was fun, and the lunch was delicious. I feel as if I could now make halloumi on my own at home! The other stops were also good fun, a real taste of Troodos crafts and producers.

The whole organisation was great from pick up ( thank you Mamas) to finish. Very professional. The fact that it’s a small group ( we were 6 ) is great too, leaving time to appreciate the experience. Our guide was Demi and she was lovely. The choice of places to see was well thought out. Lovely scenery along the way. Highlight was the Haloumi making experience but excellent full day of discoveries. Recommend.
