- A2397DEvictoriar0 contributionsThe tour itself was good, but the waters were roughThe waters are incredibly rough on the way to the first island while in November. Quite a few people got nauseous and sick on board. The first island was very cute, but there is nothing on it except for two small beaches that are a 15 minute walk away from, the drop off. The second location was beautiful and the ride back was relatively smooth in comparison.Written November 30, 2024
- Florineda3330 contributionsgood experienceThe boat experience was amazing,me and my bf enjoyed very much. We stopped at the caves and we stopped at the blue lagoon where we enjoyed swimming. The weather in November was warm 22°C Highly suggest this experience.Written November 19, 2024

- 805mirandaj0 contributionsGreat trip!We had a brilliant trip! We were a bit nervous about the reviews saying it was very busy, but we got there an hour before sail and got seats inside - everyone else headed to the top open deck and the late comers came inside with us. It suited us as we were out the wind. Our kids (4 and 9) loved looking through the underwater windows, the slides were fun and we enjoyed staying in the blue lagoon. We all did the speed boat trip and loved it - definitely recommend! Most others went on the Gozo trip - we were glad we didn’t as we enjoyed a swim around. It’s busy but you can still have a swim, and it was good to be able to leave our stuff on the boat rather than find a rock. There was food onboard. Only gripe is that there are two ladders to get back on the boat so that gets crowded, maybe a float line might be helpful.Written November 2, 2024
- 214gabrielley0 contributionsGreat views but not a personal favoriteThe views of the blue and crystal lagoon were gorgeous, however the tour guide was just a voice recording that you couldn’t hear from many areas of the boat and it was so overly crowded there were barely enough seats for all of the guests. They also ran out of snorkeling masks very early into the trip so my guest and I had to share one mask which was disappointing not to be able to snorkel with my boyfriend. While the views were gorgeous, the crew was great, and we really enjoyed our time on Comino, there should be better planning on the back end.Written November 2, 2024

- Travel346556831700 contributionsImpossible to do Gozo in a day.Boat was fine. Comfy and clean. Lots of hard selling for various trips during the voyage. We had prebooked premium tickets through I See Malta. Decided to stick to the day travel in Gozo. It ended up being far too much of a rush to see everything on the route in the time given. In fact impossible to really spend time in any of the various stops along the way. Tours only allowed for 2x 45 min stops along the way. Impossible!!Written October 30, 2024
- Ani A0 contributionsMemorableThe additional speedboat ride of the smaller caves around Comino Island for the extra €15 per person was so worth it! The boat guide Neil made the whole experience memorable & such fun. Thank you.Written October 20, 2024
- HerTenPence0 contributionsnor safe for young childrenIncredibly basic boat trip, it felt like a ferry. The crew speak limited English and the tour is a prerecord. Most upsetting, the trip says it’s fine for all ages. It is totally and utterly inappropriate and unsafe for a baby. Blue Lagoon is far too rocky and there is barely any sun shelter until you walk a fair distance over rocky land to get to sun beds.Written October 18, 2024
- Ava S0 contributionsGood but too longIt was a good trip, when on the boat you are told things about what you are passing in a range of languages. There is a bar, and I enjoyed the option to stay on the boat when at blue lagoon, the sense of freedom was nice and the slide was good fun. However, they did run out of snorkels very quickly which was a shame as I would have liked a go, and the trip did feel slightly too long, but it was still a good trip.Written October 15, 2024
- suechin0 contributionsDay tripThe day trip was amazing.the blue lagoon was beautiful a d very clear water. The only thing is if you are disabled it would t be good as the path from the boat was very dodgy and also down to the beach was. NOt that good. The food carts were good with different choices. Gozo was very interesting with a lit to see and do. The little boats took us to the blue grotto.the water was amazing and a pretty little village.Written October 13, 2024
- kerstiliisv0 contributionsNice day at Blue LagoonHad a nice day on a boat and in blue lagoon. Had some nice views and good swimming spots. The trip started at 11, and the boat was supposed to be ready for boarding at 10:30. However, I recommend going ever earlier if you want a good sunny/shadow spot. We arrived 10:35 and almost all the boat was already filled with people. Crystal lagoon was a nice stop for swimming (approximately 45 min). We did not take part in the city tour, and the boat took us straight to Blue Lagoon for 4+ hours. I recommend taking a walk/hike to the other swimming spot on Comino, there are less people and sandy beaches. Blue Lagoon looks nice but very many people and only rocks to sit on, not comfortable, especially for 4+ hours.Written October 13, 2024
- CharlieV20110 contributionsGreat Day Trip! The day of the voyage was a perfect, hot and sunny day and the trip went well. The boat took off promptly at 10:30 from the advertised location behind the Loa restaurant. All instruction onboard was detailed and can be clearly heard. The stop for swimming or hiking at Camino was fun, and offers plenty of good drinks, and activities for about 90 minutes. The stop at Gozo offers bus rides either for swimming or for exploring Victoria, which I opted for Victoria. You will get about 3 hours in Victoria, which is just enough to visit the Citadel and grab lunch. In my opinion, Victoria is worth staying a night in. My only recommendations for improvements are to get better lockers and to possibly coach staff on proper sanitation as I witnessed an employee handle raw chicken, then proceed to help me with my locker while handling money without washing hands.Written October 12, 2024

We had a great experience on the catamaran. When we saw the overfilled other boats with plastic chairs on them we knew we made the right choice. We took the sunset tour and it was amazing. The right amount of people on board and good music. The drinks were good but on the expensive side (7EUR for a cocktail, 4EUR for a beer) and were quickly sold out. The lunch/dinner was good but for 15EUR a bit overpriced as well. There are cheaper food trucks in the Blue Lagoon. Due to weather and jellyfish, the Captain decided to skip Popeye Village and we only drove by Crystal Lagoon. Be aware that the itinerary can change anytime and that you probably won't see everything. Arrive at least an hour early to get a good spot on the boat. Everything was clean and no shoes are allowed on deck.

We had such an amazing time, easily the highlight of my trip to Malta. The crew were welcoming and helpful. Exactly as advertised - if not better. The swimming spots were secluded, stunning with crystal clear water. The trip was vibrant, busy but not too crowded at all. Very international amongst the guests and was great to meet other travellers, everyone was so friendly. The BBQ lunch was very good, would recommend as there were many places to get food at the stops (as they are most secluded lagoons!!) and staff were accommodating for nut allergies and other allergies. Would recommend getting the snorkels on board, either 10euro deposit or you leave some ID with the crew. The only issue we encountered was some jellyfish in some of the swimming spots, however the crew were amazing and moved us on from there and to a safer spot, as well as docking at a safer places due to weather conditions. Very good service and we had a great time.

There are numerous boat trips available in Malta, but don’t waste your money: while a trip on the Sea Breeze maybe 20% more expensive than on the other boats it’s 100% better. This is a brand new catamaran, kept in impeccable conditions by a small, but outstanding crew that doesn’t hesitate in changing plans if the weather doesn’t comply, to make sure that you get the most of your trip. The cherry on top of the cake came at the end of our trip when the crew lifted the sails and we had an opportunity to sail around St. Paul’s harbour. This was probably the best value for money experience I’ve in a while. Do not miss it.

Best day of our trip! Well worth the money and the food was delicious all staff made you feel safe on board, couldn’t fault them. Beautiful sights to see on this tour. If I was to recommend anything it would be to spend a little long in Crystal Lagoon, as it was the most beautiful in my opinion. Would definitely do it again.

Arrived on the boat early, food and drinks where available to purchase at a reasonable price all cooked fresh. Through the speakers the location we where was explained clearly in differnt languages. For me this was handy as any info I missed not paying attention in english I could re hear in italian. Staff where smiley and friendly. We had our own snorkeling equipment and blue lagoon was beautiful to swim in although super cold! They also had slides to go into the water which was awesome and offer a bus service once on Gozo to go to a choice of 2 parts of the island. All well organised and clearly instructed.

We booked the "Beaches and Bays" morning trip because we wanted to swim and get some sun and not be around children. It was so amazing that we booked the sunset version again for our last night in Malta. Finding the trip on the website was a bit tricky, so we just googled "Beaches and Bays boat Malta" and found it that way. This catamaran is gorgeous and the crew were friendly, professional and hospitable. You have to take your shoes off as to not muck up the boat and they seem to care for it really well. Even the toilets were shockingly clean. Masks were required for getting on and off the boat, but once we left and the wind picked up, most people took them off. We got there early to get a sunbed on the upper deck, but if you are late and don't get one, there seem to be plenty of places to sit or walk around, especially while the boat is under covid-restricted capacity. The playlist and the (chill) party atmosphere it provided were perfect for us who like EDM. They provide snorkels for free and the poritons for the BBQ (15€ extra) are huge! The drinks are very reasonably priced and they have beer on tap. One sad thing is that they use disposable cups, leading to a lot of garbage, but at least the plates and cutlery are reusable. If we ever make it back to Malta this trip will be the first thing we do :)

We arrived early and boarded the boat, having our temperature checked and a squirt of alco-gel. That part was fine however, more and more people kept boarding to the point where, trying to keep a safe distance from others was impossible. Out of my entire holiday, this boat trip was the only time that I didn’t feel COVID safe.
I only saw 1 dispenser of hand sanitiser at the bar, thankfully I had my own.
We booked the BBQ which was €15 each, it was very nice. Pasta, slaw, couscous, bread, two chicken and one lamb kabab and two lamb kofta.
If you are wanting to hire snorkel equipment it was €10 deposit or an ID card.
The snorkelling opportunities were ok (not controlled by the tour) I was expecting to see more having read some reviews on the Malta tourism pages.
I think it would have benefited from more information on the places that you were sailing past or visiting, there was a loudspeaker system but it was mainly used for music and calling out food order numbers.
At the end of our sail we had a slight malfunction where the sail stuck and wouldn’t come down. This maid it very difficult for the crew to dock. They did get a smaller boat to come out and off loaded passengers to it who had to rush back to land.
All in it was an OK trip but I probably wouldn’t do it again.

Dear Michael,
We are very disappointed to hear you were concerned while on our excursion.
For the square meter to passenger ratio, we have exceeded government expectations. The vessels layout is advantageous for social distancing because it is not in rows, and we have large spaces in between seating areas. On the day of your trip, there were areas not used, but they may not have sunbeds.
The picture you have posted was as the passengers were queuing to get off. On arrival, we ask all passengers to respect each other space when disembarking.
The photo also shows approx 70 passengers, and you were one of approx ten passengers on a smaller boat. The ship is 26meters long and 12 meters wide. The two decks combined have nearly 400sqm of space, that is one person to every 5sqm, ample for social distancing.
We have snorkelling equipment onboard, but we are not a snorkelling tour. Thus said we still believe in the locations we offer; one of them is marked as a snorkelling location on google maps and another the famous crystal clear waters of the Blue Lagoon. Unfortunately, we have no control over the content on the Malta Tourism website, but we have realist pictures on our tour pages.
We have running commentaries on our other boat, but we have decided not to on this one. It is a day out of sailing, sun, and sea and not a tour guide boat giving out information if five different languages, which is why we have not advertised this service. However, given your feedback, we update our tours pages to say we do not offer this service, rather than just omitting it.
On the day of your trip, we did have a small malfunction of the sail; in sailing, this is not abnormal. Our crew reacted very quickly, bringing a smaller boat to disembark the passengers who may have had a strict timetable. In the morning one of our passengers had informed us they had to catch a flight in the evening! Thus said many passengers preferred to stay and they told the crew were glad of the extra time. In the end, the small boat turned out unnecessary as we arrived into port at the same time.
To anyone reading this post, please be aware, even though we keep passenger numbers to government guidelines, this still may not be comfortable for everyone, in which case we, please contact us for a quotation for a private charter.

We booked the 4:30pm cruise as there was no availability for the morning and we were glad we did. The boat is lovely and we could see extensive cleaning after the morning trip before they allowed us on board. You have to take your shoes off and it is one bed per couple, however it wasn’t overly full so it didn’t feel overcrowded like some of the other boats we could see. They day consisted of a short spin around the comino caves, around an hour and a half at the blue lagoon, half an hour at the Crystal lagoon and 20 minutes at Popeye village. The experience was gorgeous, however we would have loved to split our time evenly and spend more time at the Crystal lagoon before the sun went down fully. We’re a young couple so also didn’t fully appreciate popeye village and wouldn’t have minded missing this. We purchased one BBQ for €15 and this was enough for both of us as it was a largely filled plate! It consisted off 3 skewers, pasta, salad, coleslaw, couscous and a slice of pitta.
You are also able to hire snorkel equipment - you need €10 that is held as a deposit and returned or alternatively an ID card.
Overall lovely experience and friendly staff.

Living in the times that we do, there are two parts to my review - the trip itself and then how self I felt in regards to the COVID situation.
Firstly the trip itself - lovely day, we had done Gozo and Comino/Blue Lagoon before and I think this is an ideal second trip as you are further away from the main bit of the Blue Lagoon but that is ok if you are just wanting to enjoy swimming in the sea. There is also no commentary which I think would be nice for a first timer but not an issue for the second go. The second place we stopped - near Golden Bay was also lovely although I did feel sorry for the nudists at the beach we pulled up next to as there was a lot of pointing and laughing (very childish and mean). I thought the BBQ lunch was really nice and good value, not sure about the other food served. The cocktails were also good value. The boat itself is nice and the sunbeds were very comfortable, although not enough for everyone (especially when people feel the need to take one per person rather than one per couple and refuse to move).
Now for the covid factor. When we visited in August Malta was really not handling the situation well and had just been taken off the safe travel list of a lot of countries, and I can absolutely see why. A few people have mentioned on here that they thought the lower passenger numbers on the trip were due to covid regulations, but I would hazard that actually it is because this is a new boat and not as well known. I did see the Sea Adventures boat (sister) and it was PACKED, as well as many other companies boats being similarly full. Although there was an ok amount of space, people seemed fairly oblivious of social distancing and no effort was made by the crew to try to help. The mini bus for the transfer was similarly full to the brim with masks being warn but no space between people. Overall I did not feel fully comfortable but maybe that is on me for even going on the trip. I think unless the government give companies an incentive to reduce capacity they will continue to cram in as many people as they can.

Paid 22 euros for a taxi from St.Julian's to the Dock for the start point. Buses available but were going to take an hour. Glad we opted for the taxi. Arrived early and boarding opened about 45 mins before departure. Got a good spot, although there is enough space for everyone. Glad we were on the Catamaran and not a boat. Made several stops for a swim, snorkelling, etc. The snorkelling gear was free (leave a 10 euro returnable deposit). The crew were friendly and everything comfortable with good chill out music playing throughout. It cost 15 euro each for the barbeque which was very good ( 2 skewers of chicken and beef with salad, plus one drink). Drinks were the normal Malta prices, ie more expensive than Spain.
The only thing I could think of that would add to the experience would be for a bit more commentary of the castles/statues that we pass on the boat. I like that kind of thing, but maybe others like just listening to the music. Either way, a great trip all round and would definately do the same one again. Well worth it.

due to the flight schedule, is it possible to finish my trip while in the journey? like, take off at Melieha and go home by myself.

As far as I remember there is no such possibility. The trip takes the whole day and it would be a pitty not to enjoy it . It was the best trip that I had! Maybe you should choose a shorter trip wich suits your flight schedule.

Vorrei fare il tour in catamarano, ma ho paura che sia troppo affollata. Qual è il numero massimo di persone che può trasportare il vostro catamarano ? Grazie

We will be arriving in Malta on a cruise ship. Any idea how easy it is to get transportation from the cruise port to the catamaran's departure location? It looks to be about a 30-minute drive. Are cabs accessible at the cruise port?

hello. :)
can I ask if the morning tour and the evening tour (sunset) are the same trips ?
I mean if there would be the same attractions and same placed as in the morning tour.
Thank you very much.

The morning tour is longer, so I suppose they visit more places. However, nothing compares with the sunsets on the boat :)
