Excellent walking tour with a small group of only 5 of us. I recommend taking the 5 pm tour after the cruise ships have gone so there are less people on the streets and the air is a bit cooler. Our guide, Brigida, was wonderful! I just wish the others on the tour would have been considerate enough to give her a trip after she spent more than two hours with us giving us an amazing overview of this gorgeous city.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable morning with our guide Jos, she was knowledgeable and engaging throughout our tour, able to answer questions and offer insights into Malta's proud history. Throughout our morning Jos took us to many of the significant sites in Valetta giving us stories and historical context which really brought Valetta and its past to life. As we wend our way around the city Jos was always mindful of the sun and heat keeping us in the shade wherever possible. There was a natural break halfway through at one of the city's amazing viewpoints, where we were able to get a drink from the various kiosks, there were also toilets here. Thank you Jos we had an really interesting morning which allowed us to really enjoy the rest of our trip as we were able to put our new found knowledge into practice around other places in Malta.

We had a lovely afternoon with our tour guide Chris. He was knowledgeable and engaging throughout our tour and clearly a very proud local..he had a kind word and a cheery hello for many of the local people who we passed during our afternoon. The tour started with a shaded seat where Chris introduced himself to us and us to each other, followed by a potted history of Mdina and Rabat which allowed us to make the most of the sites and stories Chris went on to tell. Chris brought the city and its suburbs history to life with his entertaining style, whilst being mindful of the heat and sun always making any longer stops in shaded areas. There was a stop midway where there was a fantastic view point and a shaded area just near a VERY nice and welcome ice cream shop before heading off again. A thoroughly enjoyable, interesting afternoon. We will Definitely be returning to Mdina in future to explore further. Thank you Chris

The guide for this trip was amazing. Starting out with a quick summary of the key historic events that shaped Malta and following up with alot of interesting details regarding the architecture, food and history of the strees and houses of Mdina and Rabat. Definitely a must-do if you have only a few days to spend in Malta.

An excellent small group walking tour which I would highly recommend. Josianne was an engaging and informative guide who invited questions and ensured everyone in the group was involved. A brilliant way to explore a beautiful city. Having seen much bigger walking tour groups I would definitely recommend this smaller and more personal option.

The tour guide, Chris, was great. Friendly, mindful of the heat, knowledgeable and with a great sense of humor! The way he presented the history of the cities and the people of Malta was insightful, and as he connected the dots from the past to the present, we saw history unveil in front of us. The tour was just what we needed, covered all the important points, and the group we were with was also great with people fun to be around. Do not think twice, if you visit Mdina and Rabat. This tour is worth it, both the price, and the company!

We enjoyed a private family food tour of Valletta in the evening with Lorraine. The food was delicious, even my children tried and enjoyed every dish. Lorraine was very knowledgeable about the history of Valletta and Malta. We highly recommend this experience!

We booked our group of 5—one Grandma, 2 adult daughters, 2 teen granddaughters—on Chris’s walking tour of Mdina and Rabat. We all agreed that he was exceptional in every way. It was a broiling hot day and he was thoughtful about placing us in the shade. He was delightful, funny, and most of all he knew his stuff and engaged us with every word. And he knew and had a friendly word in passing with everyone from the mayor, to the bishop, to a local artist, musician, and fish seller. Top, top guide!

Chris was an amazing tour guide with outstanding knowledge of the people, culture and history of Malta. In 2:30 hours we learned far more than other tours that I have taken that were longer.

If you are visiting Malta and you don’t do this tour, you are missing out on one of the most special experiences we’ve had while traveling. Our tour guide, Chris, is a true local of Rabat and the fact that he so willingly and knowledgeably shared his history and culture with us made us feel so welcomed and we were just left in awe of the beauty and history of Mdina and Rabat. My husband is of Maltese descent (his father was born here) so to have him and our children experience their culture and heritage through the eyes of a real local was just indescribable. On top of that, Chris might be one of the nicest people we’ve met in Malta (or anywhere)! As we walked through Rabat, he knew and said hello to everyone and we even met his Aunt Carmen. Lol. Just such a special experience all around; my kids (teenagers) haven’t stopped talking about it and my husband is already planning on our next trip back. Don’t miss out!
