Overview
Through the language of food you will be told all the stories behind the Maltese capital city, its buildings, its culture and events and top of all its people who are a melting pot of various civilizations as is the food eaten by the locals a fusion of the same influences. What do coffee and revolts have in common? How was Carnival a controversial matter? This will be the most amazing experience of Valletta you will get while trying different foods and drinks of these islands whether the traditional stuff or the more contemporary things. You will be shown the beautiful Maltese Capital City in between of the different stops where we try all the food and drinks. You can rest assured this excursion will double up as your lunch for the day and give you lots of advice on where to eat throughout the rest of your stay.

Really interesting combination of traditional Maltese food with the time when the Maltese actually eat it (rather than simply a sampling of the food out of context). The conversation about the history of Malta and Valletta was very engaging, and helped make the experience more

This was an expensive and uninspiring trip. We thought we should get a taste of culinary dishes from Malta, we didn't get that. The most culinary was Malta coffee. We were in a chocolate factory / store. Here we got a very small chocolate that you can get for free elsewhere.

I am very sorry that you found the experience uninspiring. All the foods encountered in the tour are local and all very well explained in the tour info. We normally offer extra foods beyond the ones mentioned in the tour description as well. For the price of €35 for which this 4 hour fully guided tour with all foods included sells, it is the most inexpensive food tour offered as yet in Malta. The tour also gives out a thorough journey in the history of food in Malta. I am really sorry you have not enjoyed the tour and am also not certain that you have commented on the correct food tour page as all other reviews here do tell a totally different story. Would really also apreciate if you could email me with further info as in regards to what went wrong for you as that could help in making the experience better for the future. Thanks and Regards Christian Galea
