About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 5cryptoq0 contributionsFantastic family holidayHad an amazing time in Malta. Really great water to swim in because it's so clear. We did boat rides to the Blue Lagoon and Gozo and other places and the entire family enjoyed it.Written July 12, 2023
- W1689UVcarolineb0 contributionsAvoid this companyDelayed arrival in Gozo due to bad weather conditions, got dropped off at Port, loaded onto a bus and then dropped off at bus station in Victoria around lunchtime, told to come back within 45 minutes, no time to explore the town or get something to eat or even a coffee. Bus then took us back to Port, loaded on boat to go over to the Blue Lagoon, nothing was open on the island, all kiosks were closed, stayed there for 1.5 hours then back on boat home. No tourist guide, just driver on bus to tell us when to be back, no information about Island on bus whilst travelling. Worst tourist trip ever taken and not worth the money we paid, which was 40 euro each. I would not recommend this company, they don't deliver what they promise.Written May 18, 2023
- Locozed0 contributionsExcellent value trip with lots of time for swimming and sightseeingI had read the reviews about the crowded boat but as we were booking late, couldn’t be too fussy. Arrived 25 minutes early to a nearly full boat, but the staff seated people so made sure someone moved up for us. Once underway enough space to move around, a little history of what we were seeing, then stopped at the first swimming stop. This was lovely, much fun was had on the slide and plenty of time to swim. We elected transport to Viktoria on Gozo, (€5pp), 2 hours for sightseeing and a nice lunch. Last swimming spot was a bit crowded, but everyone was mellow by then. I’ve been on all inclusive boat trips before but paying a few Euros for drinks reduced meant there was little excess drinking and we had a lunch of our choice. Yes crowded, but that kept this trip very affordable.Written September 7, 2022

Disappointed with Vallettta as mobility issues meant the day was almost wasted, though nice views from a distance. Other two were quite nice really, with lots of shops and eateries. Very narrow pavements though.Written May 20, 2022
- Caroline B0 contributionsGreat areaThis is a great area to holiday in. Lots of water activities and great restaurants. It is near to the ferry port to Gozo and close to some wonderful beaches.Written November 3, 2021
- Faem350 contributionsNight tour of VallettaThis was a great experience, but my husband walks with a stick and found all the walking on uneven paths a bit too much (and the rep at the San Antonio Hotel didn't warn him about this beforehand)Written October 25, 2021
- angelao7870 contributionsAwfulAwful. The crew didn't give a damn. We didn't stop in a lagoon, it was near one but just in the sea. We got off at Gozo and made our own way back.Written August 23, 2021
- Zuzanna Z0 contributionsGreat day out worth the money !Very nice crew and boat- the trip was definitely worth it for the price. The best part was the last bit where we visited the blue lagoon. For the city Gozo part definitely plan ahead where you will go.The crew offers 5 euro bus ride to the two cities. If you get sea sick( I do ) it’s still possible - just stay at the bottom of the ship and don’t stand while it’s moving! Thank you crew :)Written August 9, 2021
- jeangJ2162QL0 contributionsSo much to see and so much historySo much to see and do both on land or on a boat trip. Favourites are the harbour cruise and the trip on the bus to the ferry going to Gozo. Hop on Hop off good way to see a lot and where you want to spend more time.Written November 3, 2020
- Lynda F0 contributionsGreat historyMalta is a real hotbed for history buffs, its every where you look fabulous churches and building, the island of gozo is beautiful there is so much to see you really have to see it for yourselfWritten August 4, 2020
- DonLuka0 contributionsGreat experience onboard of Triton ship! You can have a all-inclusive offer for 2€ more on bigger overcrowded ships but Triton is way better! And yes you'll have the slide to the sea and there is a bar on board with reasonable prices so you'll have a great time on your way to Blue & Crystal Lagoon & Gozo! Definitely recommend this ship!Written October 29, 2019
- Siddeesiddall0 contributionsTRITON "Gozo, Comino & Blue lagoon"Been reading various reviews saying 'stay away' & 'waste of time & money' but I'm sure people are talking about the wrong boat service. Let's get it clear I'm talking about the TRITON.. I saw other boats packed like sardines & unhappy passengers but NOT this one. We had so much fun we went twice! Firstly we chose Victoria in Gozo then secondly we stayed on Camino. Too crowded at the Blue lagoon & too many jellyfish but have a look round the island & a good time awaits. ☆☆☆☆☆Written October 12, 2019
- Isabellavleyden0 contributionsWonderful day on the boatThe Triton is a great boat with tons of facilities. Using the slide was a lot of fun! I especially loved the visit to Crystal Lagoon, where we had the opportunity to swim. Most other companies do not stop there, but Triton does. Would definitely recommend this day trip.Written October 8, 2019

It was a very nice experience, only the toilets were not that clean. It would have been nice to have more covered areas to lie down. You had the option of staying in Gozo or driving straight to the Blue Lagoon. The Gozo visitors were picked up after about 2 hours and were able to spend another hour in the Blue Lagoon. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

We joined the Odyssey at St Paul's Bay, took a gentle trip out to the Caves at Cimono 1st , had about an hour to swim off the boat. Then on to Gozo fkr those doing that trip as well, dropped them off then headed for the Blue Lagoon.
The boat was clean , tidy, had great staff, had snacks and a toilet. You could hire buoyancy aids etc. It was good that they had you wear a mask when needed. Drinks available and well needed as it was around 38 degrees on the top deck.
The Blue lagoon is amazing , clear crystal waters and about 1000 people at any one time. It's very very busy with holiday makers from all over the island. That said deck chairs and parasols were 15 euro for 2 and there I an abundance of food and drink avaialble.
Pick up sharp at 17.55 and back to St Paul's stopping off at a few caves on the way. All in all a really nice day out.

I booked this cruise for my birthday and thoroughly enjoyed it. The boat was lovely and had plenty of seats and a good commentary explaining the caves and history of various places. We went to Comino and stayed there for 4 hours, which I spent most of swimming in the Blue Lagoon. This was just amazing. Exploring Comino is also fun and there are a lot of lizards.
The reason I have not given 5 stars is because the information and instructions given about the practical details of where we were to swim from, etc, were quite confusing. Other than that, it was a great experience and I shall endeavour to go again next time I am in Malta.

An enjoyable enough day, but I think it’s fair to say the description of the excursion is rather different to the reality.
The trip actually involves a stop at Crystal Lagoon, before moving on to drop some people off at Gozo. From there, you do head to the Blue Lagoon, but there is no way you can describe the anchor point as secluded and away from the crowds. There were such places, but we were actually right in amongst the huge throng of tourists. From there, the boat later leaves to collect the people from Gozo, before returning again to the Blue Lagoon for a further time.
What was particularly disappointing about the boat is that the photograph of the beautiful boat in the description is not of the actual boat utilised, which is far more of the regular commercial fayre used by other companies. It was perfectly adequate, but not what we expected and is misleading.
Apart from that, there are signs up on the boat advising to be careful with the use of fresh water as it is in short supply, which is fine in itself, but not when the description offers the chance to have a fresh shower at days end, as that is not true.
It is also untrue that passengers are COVID temperature checked before boarding and that the prominently used areas are regularly cleaned, as we certainly didn’t witness either of these actions.
The crew were friendly enough, but a different variety of music wouldn’t go amiss, as the same repetitive dirge that played for 95% of the day made me consider starting to drink alcohol.
I have been lucky enough to go on many boat trips over the years and whilst the charging for snorkelling equipment was unusual, this was advised in advance and wasn’t a problem, as we just brought our own; being charged for life jackets was, however, an unwelcome and wholly unnecessary first. That having been said, the lunchtime burger was good value and very tasty.
The lagoons themselves were actually a little disappointing from the snorkelling perspective, where the range of fish on view were extremely limited. In addition, the photo stops at some caves on our return journey seemed rather perfunctory and didn’t add anything of interest.
As I say, an enjoyable enough day in itself, just not what was expected from the advertised description.

Snorkeling at blue lagune and another point was a lot of fun. Also, the bathing area of blue lagune was easy to walk to.
The boat was extremely inconvenient for snorkelers. The space between the benches and the tables (unnecessary anyway) was much too narrow even for slender people.
The kitchen of the boat was open during swimming time only.

Very nice crue, they took us to places so there would be less people. The burgers are very tasty and cheap. The ship wasn’t crowded, so we could all enjoy the view. The gave us fresh pineapple at the end. Very nice experience ! I recommend !

Travelling solo my by self to Malta, I was slightly nervous about finding the boar however it is very straight forward and the boat is at the end of the jetty via the location given by the company! We visited the crystal lagoon for one hour, the sea was so clear and beautiful. Decent priced beer and also a slide and diving board to jump into the crystal clear sea
We got to the crystal lagoon and only problem is travelling solo we all got told the boat would be back in an hour so we all had to depart (I had my bag with all my belongings in)
I managed to leave my bag in a spot on the beach in some rocks and went for a swim in the beautiful azure water. Definitely worth the 20 euros, I wish I booked two trips!!
For the more adventurous further along the coast there is a secluded spot where I and a few others was cliff diving into the sea and jumping from the top of the cliffs into the lagoon- an amazing experience one I will remember for life!!

Get the local ferry as a foot passenger to get flexibility going to and from the Blue Lagoon. 13 Euros return. You can get there before the crowds. You get to go into the caves on the way to the Blue Lagoon.

After being sceptical about booking another boat trip in Malta as one we went one before was awful, we were very pleased this time. This one was amazing and just what we were looking for. For 20 euros a person it was such good value for the money. The crew were friendly and had saved our large group a lovely space on the front of the boat. Drinks and food on the boat was very reasonably priced and drinks were cold 🥶 first stop in the crystal lagoon was beautiful, followed by a longer stop in the blue lagoon. The boat stopped in a quieter part where there was plenty of room to swim in the clear blue lagoon. The kids loved jumping from the boat and the slide on the boat. We paid for a speedboat to see the caves of comino, the guide was excellent and for 10 euros each it was money well spent. The family enjoyed Snorkelling in the lagoon for hours. On the way back we passed other caves and the boat went right up to them allowing for photo opportunities. We booked in a small shop in buggiba and would definitely recommend booking the triton boat. Exactly the same tour as the sea adventurer except less crowded, and for 7 hours out, amazing value. Thank you triton for a great day out in Malta 🇲🇹

The first stop was in Crystal Lagoon. This was an beautiful experience. We were allowed to swim into the water, swim to caves, and use the slide to go into the beautiful clear water. It was an quite quiet place to swim in. After the Crystal Lagoon we went to Blue Lagoon. This was an amazing spot as well. The water was crystal clear and there were lots of fishes around the boat. The area around the boat was not that crowded like the other side of the Blue Lagoon. The Blue Lagoon is a combination with Comino, an beautiful island as well. In short; the trip to Crystal Lagoon and Blue Lagoon was really really enjoyable. I felt the environment of a holiday around me!
