      Exploring 3 cities
On a sunny sunday in April we wanted to explore the 3 cities and accidently came across rolling geeks. After a clear and concise briefing in our mothertongue Dutch - although it was the Antwerp version of it- we set of for the trip. Guided by the GPS system to the different viewpoints where we could have small breaks to listen to a historically funded description of the viewpoints in our mothertongue. Although there were a few hick ups due to deviations and roads closed. On one occasion the upper geek came speeding on an electric scooter to guide us back on track. We also had a nice drink on one of the terraces in a little square and took advantage to feed the baby. Almost back to base we wanted to add some extra unscheduled exploration of our own but the upper geek was at guard and quikly hauled us in. Very nice experience for a family activity and highly recommendable.

      Excellent and fun!
A very fun and unique experience to discover 3 cities opposite of Valletta. We had such a good time and the team running the experinece was great. Our two children (5 and 9) were sitting and the back and they enjoyed the ride even more than us :) Would definitively recommend!

Wonderful way to explore the old cities of Malta
This was a wonderful excursion and the highlight of our trip to Malta! The navigation was user friendly and the team at rolling geeks were a phone call away if we ever got lost. Also we loved meeting Max, the worlds most adorable dog. Highly recommend!

Great way to see the 3 cities, with the occasional a help from the Geeks when we took a wrong turning. The roads are pretty bumpy but there was not much traffic so easy to get around.

Fabulous 2.5 hour experience...I'd do it again 😀
Stumbled across these guys by accident while out having a stroll. Decided to go in a find out more and before you knew it we was sat on one of the geeks ( fully electric vehicle) and ready to go off for 2 and a half hours drive around. They have a planned route which is programmed in to the on board sat nav ( big screen) so simple to understand...bare in mind i did turn the wrong way without realizing but they soon rang me and put me back on track. The guys were great...easy to understand there instructions etc etc. If you had any trouble they would ring you as they are able to monitor your ever move. A must do and not to bad a cost of £78 that's for the both of us It's seats 4 people so that £19 each. Highly recommend them. Thanks guys for the adventure.

Great fun and such a novel way to see the three cities. No fear of getting lost as in immediate contact with HQ and they with you as well as the inboard Navigator /Guide and Map. Thank you to the motorists of the area for their ever ending patience and the lovely residents, so nice. Don't think about it, just do it!

      Fun, Fun, Fun, in Malta!
We had an awesome time. Our tall guide was on a small electric scooter leading us through the hills. Everything was comical, but safe, informative, and interesting. We loved it. He allowed us to stop and enjoy the sites. But he also kept us on schedule. It was awesome.

      Great fun
We were in the area and saw the advert at the ferry port. Went to the office and were lucky enough that they had a buggy available. We ran through the driving licence checks etc and the. Had a really thorough briefing from a really nice lady. We then set off and explored. The buggies only go slow but the gps and audio explains what you’re seeing. Guests who have said the gps was poor need to relax. It shows you the next point. Once there it updates to the next so relax and enjoy this beautiful place. We had a technical issue with the buggy but we had a new buggy to continue within about 3 minutes! A different way to get around and see some beautiful places!

We have taken a lot of tours in many parts of the world, but never one quite like this. We really enjoyed driving as quickly as we wanted, stopping to take photos or eat our picnic lunch at our own pace. Navigating in Malta could be a challenge, but with the GPS route displayed on an iPad onboard, we never got lost. Finding a spot to park a car in Malta is a challenge, but with the gold cart we could squeeze ourselves into off-road spots for short periods of time to listen to the narrative explanation of where we were, while we were looking a it.

What can I say? Where do I start? What a novel way to explore the the three great and beautiful cities in Malta, Birgu, Senglea and Kalkara. You need to have a full driving Licence to operate these electric vehicles. So simple to drive they have an onboard GPS with an option to do a selfie and it also has a built in phone. The phone comes in handy as they track your while journey so if you get lost even though you are following the GPS ( as in my case on a couple of occasions, Rolling Geeks May dispute the amount of times they came to our rescue ) it is handy as if you take the wrong road and you do seem lost they will ring you to find out and then if need be will ask you to wait where you are safely off course and they will be with you very quickly to help.
As I said a real novel way to see these beautiful three cities.
You follow a planned route on an 18km journey which is approx 1.5 hours but you are given an extra hour to stop and have a tea or a coffee on route and to take pictures.
Thoroughly recommend so check it out, they are based in the city of Birgu on the waterfront nr the fort of St Angelo

You need to be a fairly confident driver to navigate the streets of Malta but this is a fun way to see the sights of the Three Cities from the comfort (ish) of your own open-top wheels. Very well organised and guided with a simple satnav and running commentary as well as a hotline back to base in case you get a bit lost. Overall a fun way to see the sites. I’d recommend a walking tour beforehand to get your bearings as driving/navigating takes most of your concentration (the running commentary takes a second seat so only really works for the passengers). Nice people running it too. Overall recommended, and driving (for Brits - on the left (correct) side of the road) isn’t difficult, really.

Dear Thx for your review but like to mention something we told you during the briefing. As a driver stop as much time you like so you can see also something because you are too concentrated while you are driving and dont see the sites as the passengers do. Its a very quiet area to drive and no Brits have to worry for the few traffic. Thx for the review Regards

Rolling Geeks is a tour of the parts of the 3 cities that you do yourself….in your own electric vehicle! After a meet and greet where you are talked through the ‘do’s and dont’s of the vehicles with respect to safety, you are ready to go! They are easy to control and have a top speed of about 15 mph….. more than ample to allow you to enjoy the points of interest. It is really well organised and because you can always maintain contact with ‘base’ you never get lost or have to worry about going off track. The organisers, Kris and Dawn, keep track of your travels using programmed Sat Navs that guide you through the varied route that takes you through the various points of interest in the area. You can also stop off anywhere en route for a snack or drink and as an added bonus you can take selfie’s using your electric vehicles Sat Nav system. These are forwarded to you by Rolling Geeks to remind you of the great time you had! I would give this 10/10 and will do it again when we next go back to Malta.

What a cracking tour we had Rolling with Geeks!!
The booking was so easy, Dawn kept us up to date with everything as we booked via email.
The trip over from Valetta via the little ferry, was quick, cheap and no problems at all, and the walk around the Marina to the office took 5 to 10 mins ( I did see they were building a new ferry terminal on the side of the office, so should only be a couple of mins when complete very soon).
The guys in the office were great, explained and showed you everything you needed to know!
The trip was a great experience, you will defo go off piste..... but don't worry, the office is tracking you and will phone you to get you back on track, all part of the experience!
All in all a great tour, you managed to see so much, and the audio explanation was very interesting.
    Well done, will defo recommend!

I was a little cautious at first because I wasn't sure that I would enjoy it, but I was so wrong. The team at Rolling Geeks offer a first class induction session, and they then communicate with you throughout the tour if need be, but they are not intrusive.

Part of our tour had to be re-routed due to roadworks, but a guide came out on an electric bike to show us an alternative route. The GPS powered spoken tour is very informative, and because the vehicle is only the size of a golf buggy, you are taken to some very interesting nooks and crannies.

I would heartily recommend the tour, and my thanks go to the hard working, multi-lingual team for making it so great.

We hadn't planned to use Rolling Geeks, but we (4 adults, 1 child) had planned to visit and walk around the Three Cities in Malta. As usual, the heat was intense and we stumbled across the entrance to the Rolling Geeks premises. The owner explained that usually an electric buggy is hired by a customer and we provide an on-board "iPad" which contains the route to follow and running commentary. The customer then drives off at their own pace following the route. However, this technology wasn't working so the owner drove the lead buggy and two others (one being ours) followed in convey at a sedate 12 mph! The owner gave us a running commentary via walkie-talkies. The trip must have lasted over 2 hours of actual driving time plus comfort breaks. It was great fun and well worth the price of the buggy hire. We saw and learnt a lot. Would not hesitate to recommend Rolling Geeks whose premises are within walking distance from the ferry disembarkation point in Vittoriosa.

Some/most of the sites really didn't stack up well against what is available by foot. Found interface on pad to be somewhat jerky. Cost value was therefore an issue for us. Flip side was the business owners were excellent, explanation and support were superb. You still had a couple of nice hours seeing parts of the town you probably wouldn't see normally.

Dear Texbuc. Of course you can do the tour of 18 km on foot and it will take you a whole day + you have to know where to go and knowing what you are going to see as the car is your personal guide. On the other site you are confirming that you were seeing parts you would never have seen if not with the Rolling Geeks. Anyway we are happy you were enjoying it. Thx for the review

In a first visit to Malta , with a opinionated 16 year old, Rolling Geeks electric vehicles offered a fresh way to view the historical 3 cities. A walk to the unique lift in Valetta, a ride on a Venetian across the bay and a drop off, next to some impressive boats was a great start. We were expected, vehicle was easy to drive and tour was informataitive for the modern and old Malta. Staff were friendly with good energy. Lunch followed, next door. It was a great choice and to be recommended.
