I cannot say enough about this company. First of all, I selected it as it was a family run company as I felt they would be more responsive and helpful in planning the perfect private day tour experience after our cruise ship departure before going to the airport in the late afternoon. Boy was I right! If 5 stars is excellent, they get 10! I think I spoke to every member of the family in the planning stage. My husband & I wanted to do Fly Over Iceland, the Lava Show as well as seeing some of the city (as we did the Golden Circle the day before through the cruise ship - also excellent). We did not go to Sky Lagoon (but closest option to select) BUT if we had wanted to, we would have gone there as WAY nicer than the touristy Blue Lagoon (per all we spoke to). And Villi, our driver, he was just the best! A friend of the family who runs the company, he was prompt in pick up, showed us a ton of awesome places around the city between our 2 shows, and was funny, informative and just all around a fantastic guy! I could go on and on, but this private tour was the PERFECT ending to an amazing trip - put Iceland on your bucket list and when you go, put Prime Tours on that list as well!!!!

My husband and I wanted to take the opportunity to commend our driver, Ingunn, for going above and beyond the call of duty, to assure that we received two extremely important pieces of our carry-on luggage, left at the hotel, that contained our passports, my husband’s medical supplies, and other important documents and records. She stood by our side, contacted the hotel and the Viking representative to convey the sense of urgency and location of where the bags were left at the hotel. Ingunn, also arranged for a driver to transport the two bags which resulted in our ability to board our flight in time. We greatly appreciate her efforts, and I will also be posting a message on Trip Advisor, recommending your agency. Our best, Cassi and Dean Birnbaum

What a delightful tour! My husband and I booked this tour before getting on a cruise ship. Our lovely guide, Anna, was excellent, and a wealth of information. The park was beautiful, and the drive there was interesting and in a comfortable vehicle. I highly recommend this tour!

Driver was aggressive - resulting in damaged luggage. I pointed the damage out to him but he was unconcerned. I contacted the Sales and Marketing Manager at Prime. He initially responded - but then he ghosted me after I submitted the documentation he requested, I am left with a Tumi bag that cannot be repaired. I understand that things happen - but this company didn’t do the right thing to fix it. Let future customers beware

It’s a great option to do the Blue Lagoon right after you land. It’s on the way into Reykjavik, and you can loosen your muscles up after a long flight. Blue Lagoon is a little touristy, but if you haven’t been there, you should still make a point of visiting! Make sure to walk around the back and don’t just see the inside…there are beautiful sites!

Door-to-door, this punctual service made what is usually a luggage-wrangling hassle into a total pleasure. The vehicle was immaculate and had plenty of room for our mountain of bags. But, the best part was our friendly driver who was professional, engaging and knowledgeable about all the areas we drove through. She even returned to the airport when we accidentally left a small package in the vehicle. Highly recommend!!

Great experience. I had to change the time three times because of travel Issues and they responded right away making adjustments. The driver was waiting with my name right at arrivals. He gave me time to grab some coffee for the road and also picked up a couple of my group from the airport hotel. Very accommodating. Thank you!!

We, a family of two parents and two adult children, had the best 1-day tour of the highlights of the Golden Circle. Ingi, our guide, picked us up at our hotel in a well-appointed, comfortable minivan and drove us around all day to a variety of sites. At each destination he provided in-depth background and context for us while pointing out the best way to visit the places so that we could get the most out of our visit. When we asked about a lunch stop, rather than just stopping at a cafe or hotel, Ingi took us to yet another place where we could eat some good food and learn more about Iceland. Ingi patiently answered in his native quality English all of our questions about a multitude of topics about Iceland, Icelandic history, the language and culture. Our day with him was one of the best during our short stay in Iceland. He is the best guide out there so be sure to request him when booking!

Wow! From the very start of the tour and meeting guide Villi at our hotel, this was an incredible way to spend the day seeing some of the sights of Iceland. Villi was so knowledgeable and went out of his way to drive the more scenic routes and to take the “road less traveled” making for a unique experience seeing Iceland through the eyes of a local. The benefit of a private tour is that your guide gets to know you and your interests, so you learn about the things that matter to you. For us, that was all about Icelandic history but also about the geothermal technology (amazing!) and all of the ways Iceland is working to stop climate change. We can’t recommend this tour company enough- we will be returning to Iceland again (there is so much more yet to see) and will definitely be booking with Prime Tours again!

We used Prime Tours for pickup from our hotel, a morning at the Blue Lagoon, and then back to Reykjavik. Everything was great. The car was ontime, clean and luxurious. The driver was pleasant, polite. He handled everything for us and it was a great, relaxing morning. Highly recommend.

My family group, consisting of 7, booked a private Golden Circle Day Tour with Prime Tours. Our guide was Ingi and he was fantastic. Every person on the trip had a great time and made memories that will last a lifetime. My Uncle was particularly interested in the geology of Iceland and Ingi was able to answer all his questions as well as variety of other questions from the rest of the group. We travelled in a luxury Mercedes van that had plenty of room for everyone. My favorite stop was Gullfoss Waterfall, but every moment was wonderful. I hope to get back to Iceland soon and would love to see more sights with Prime Tours.

We actually had a two day private tour. We were on the Viking Mars and decided to have private tours while in Reykjavik. It was the best idea! The first day was the Golden Circle and the second day was the Blue Lagoon. There were many sights we were taken two on those days depending on what area we were in and our interests. Our guide was Karl and he was the best guide we have ever had. He was so welcoming, knowledgeable and showed us many interesting things that were unscripted, unlike often experienced on other excursions from cruise ships. He is a former search and rescue ranger, so we felt safe going anywhere with him!! His knowledge of politics, culture, geology and folklore is superior. He is an excellent driver and always concerned for our safety and comfort. He is also a very nice guy, definitely a native Icelander. He knew the best places to shop and eat, a huge plus and less the crowded bus-tourist trap thing. If you are going to Iceland, which when you see the lava fields and geothermal sites is like being on the moon, take the plunge like we did and hire Karl from Prime Tours!
