They could be a little clearer with instructions, but overall was a good process. Locals take the bus too as a taxi could cost you 200 euro just to get the 45m to the city. Bus is right there when you get out of airport and drops you off at a central station which then you go to the other side of the building for the smaller shuttles to the bus stops around the city- there is no hotel drop off!!! The city does not allow that.

I purchased an airport transfer and paid more for "hotel drop off"
First, the big bus from airport was nice enough, but it went to an intermediate location to disperse riders to different smaller vans. We had to move all the luggage into the van ourselves, and there was mass confusion as to who was going where in these various vans.
Then the driver dropped us at a bus stop, not our hotel, with verbal instructions to walk to our hotel which was a few blocks away. We had lots of luggage and it was up a fair hill. Not at all what I was expecting. Won't use them again if I ever go back to Reykjavik.

Please note that due to traffic restrictions input by the City of Reykjavik, buses are not allowed to driver on certain streets. Therefore if you hotel is locate on one of these streets your drop off and pick up location will be to and from designated bus stops (see https://busstop.is/).
We recommend for your next transfer to book the Premium service which is door-to-door.

Had been struggling to decide between Airport Direct and Flybus, since the latter apparently meets each flight, and Airport Direct has scheduled times and looked like a longer wait. In the event, our bus went on time whilst Flybus seemed to wait ages and left exactly when ours did. AD also transferred us very quickly to a hotel bus. Similarly efficient service from AD on the return transfer, and it's a bit cheaper. Airport Direct for us!

Efficient transfer from the airport to our hotel. Booked online before our trip. The instructions made it clear that the main service is to the bus terminal and then you change to another smaller bus to be taken to your hotel so we knew what to expect.
On arriving at the bus terminal, the smaller bus was ready for us, there were no delays and there were clear instructions on which bus to take. Buses were clean.
Used service on way back to airport too and it was just as efficient and we were pleased that the buses were going as there were high winds and the flights were delayed. Drivers all friendly and polite.
Seemed expensive on booking but due to distance, door to door service and general high prices in Iceland, this was ok. Would use again.

This is not a direct bus to hotel as advertised. Buses are slow and old, and the Drop-off-bus in Reykjavik is even older and cramped. It takes for ever, is really uncomfortable and costs more than advertised. Do not expect to get any information after you have paid. Thouroughly unprofessional businessm will never use again,

This was a perfect service. We arrived much earlier than expected in Iceland and then after a dream 5 minute experience getting through customs etc it meant we were almost 2 hours early for our bus. We went to the front desk and the girl there was so helpful, she swapped us onto the next bus and showed us exactly where to go for it. It left on time and was a very good journey. It was then just a short wait for the small mini bus to drop us off at the hotels. We were stopping in an area where the buses are not allowed to go, but the driver pointed us in the right direction and showed us where to wait for the return trip on departure day. That was also a perfect experience. They rang to let us know they were 2 mins away and again the transfer was perfectly smooth. I highly recommend it and will use them on my next trip to Iceland.

Booked and payed in advance for a group of 12 people. When coming to the bus it shows that the bus already was full. After a long waiting time they divided us into three different busses and one of the groups with a total different company and a another terminal. It took about 2,5 hours to get all poeople from the airport to the hotel i town centre.

Having taken this service before in both economy and premium from the city to the airport and had positive experiences, I decided to take the route in reverse (economy). That was really bad decision. Having to wait almost an hour after arrival to their hostel / make shift terminal for a transfer to a hotel. is completely unacceptable. Further more, the shuttle driver was quite unpleasant and seemed to be annoyed by my presence - the only person she had to take to a hotel. Without saying a word, she opened the back of the bus - apparently I was supposed to put my luggage there. I asked if this was the case. ´I thought it was pretty obvious " was her reply. I get it, its high tourists season and everyone is probably over worked. I am a local, I live here. Any other tourists would have probably walked away if they were not used to this type if insolence from the tourist industry. 3 hours from leaving the airport to my destination downtown is totally unacceptable. Probably tourists are able to deal with this because they don't know the difference from the travel times of their main competitors ( 1. 5 hours max ). Save yourself the bother and take them instead.

Using our Economy transfer means a change of buses at the Terminal in Reykjavik. The waiting time here may vary, depending on the availability, but we usually have a driver right away.
The ride from the airport is 45 min and once you are in the Smart Bus, especially if you are the only customer, it should not take more than 5-10 min to be dropped off at your location.

We were picked up from right outside the airport and swiftly transported to Reykjavik.
The driver was friendly and helped everybody board and stow their luggage.
The coach was comfortable quiet and with just enough legroom... I'm 6 foot 2 and it was just about ok for the 45 min journey.
Note that the bus from the airport takes you to the terminal and then you have to swap to a different bus to get to your hotel. This is not well organised or communicated and as a result a large bewildered but polite crowd gathered at the terminal until we figured out the system for ourselves...
I.e. drivers turn up seemingly at random, then randomly pick a bus and route at random. You run after them and jump on their bus.
Good service overall but you have to pay attention!!

Beware! I had a awful experience with this company. When the airline changed my flight on very short notice, the company would not let me change time and refused me a refund. I cancelled the day before with plenty of time for them to rebook our seats. Still, they refused to refund the unused fare or make any other offer.

If the cancelation is received with less than 24h before transfer time, the cancelation will come with 100% fees.
We are trying to be as flexible as possible and allow our customers to reschedule their ticket depending on availability.
