Comfortable coach, warm, free WiFi. Plenty of toilet breaks. Good amount of time at each spot. Good information.
A little pricy for what it was. Maybe I'd be less grumpy if we were lucky enough to see the lights! Sadly we were not.
I'd advise getting in the queue for the wafflecar immediately as you arrive at the place for the lights - it helps waste some time while you're waiting and the queue very quickly gets insane. We got in it straight away and it was probably half an hour.

The Golden Circle tour only went ahead at the last moment due to heavy snow. We did eventually manage all three stops but had a very slow drive back to town - the driver was excellent! Because of the weather the Northern Lights tour didn’t go ahead but it is easy to rebook free of charge for another day. Never did see them unfortunately after 3 attempts.

The Tour was a comfortable journey in a large coach which also had USB to charge phones. There was cafes at each place that we stopped so we had plenty of time to get food and drinks with 30-45 mins each time. If you prefer to get to know alot of the history behind each place you visit then i would recommend a smaller tour however i enjoyed being left to my own devices and going to have a wander around the stop off points. Unfortunately the northern lights was cancelled due to weather conditions however i have been processed a part-refund which is good.

The locations for the Golden Circle Tour were stunning with breathtaking views of spectacular and diverse Icelandic landscapes. The waterfall, park and shooting geyser were truly unforgettable - we loved the experience.
The bus tour probably wasn’t for us. We would have liked to have more time at each location to explore them without having to rush back. If we ever go back to Iceland again, we would rather hire a car to enjoy sightseeing at our own leisure. Tour itinerary was quite tight and we felt like we have to hurry all the time.
Unfortunately our guide for the Golden Circle, Frida was not a welcoming and friendly person. Quite in contrary, she ignored our questions on couple of occasions, acted rude and was not approachable at all. I hope that she just had a bad day and this is not her usual attitude.
The two guides for the Northern Lights tour, Cecilia and Emily were fantastic. They were friendly, knowledgeable, witty, very positive and uplifting. They instantly put everyone at ease and made us feel comfortable and welcomed. Although we did not see the lights due to the unsuitable weather conditions, we still enjoyed the tour.

Reykjavik Excursions picked us up from nearest bus stop, transferred to main bus terminal and then the tour begins. Quite a bit of time on the coach but great way to see the landscape and plenty of time at the sites; didn't feel overly rushed. Back to the city, time for a break and some food before the later trip out to find the Northern Lights . . . we were lucky and managed to see them. Cold night but you forget about the cold when the magic of the lights starts! Great day overall.

We had a delightful experience with Reykjavik Excursions! We used them for our transfer from the airport to our holiday but we also booked on the golden circle tour and northern lights tour combined. We had an excellent tour guide and driver for both tours - the information we received on the golden circle tour was incredible. We learned so much and saw so many beautiful scenes that it’s hard to put into words. Pictures don’t do justice. We also had the absolute magical experience of witnessing nature in a natural phenomenon! The northern lights, albeit faint, was breathtaking! Reykjavik Excursions made sure we were in a prime location! I highly recommend!

We used RE for our airport transfer with Blue Lagoon, our Golden Circle tour, Northern Lights tour and booked our Northern Lights by boat with them, though it was serviced through Special tours. If you don't see the lights (or whales), rebooking for free is easy. All drivers/guides were friendly. Buses felt safe.

Thick snow and roads not in the best conditions but these drivers are very good at what they do, some drivers are better than others but they all got us to our destination safe. Also very helpfull at getting you back to your hotel, if they cant drive you they will get someone who can so you are not stranded in a country you know nothing about or your whereabouts.

We are visiting in late November. How cold will the tour be, ie do we need warm boot, pants and parka? And more specifically, are snow boots, hiking boots, sturdy walking shoes appropriate/best? We're trying to pack light so one pair of shoes would ideal.
