Overview
Iceland is home to soaring volcanoes and cascading waterfalls, but the most impressive natural attractions are spread far and wide. This Golden Circle bus tour heads directly through the Geysir geothermal area to sites of interest including the Gulfoss waterfall and Thingvellir National Park. Reach the landmarks in comfort with time to explore on foot, and enjoy panoramic views over the Icelandic countryside with round-trip travel from Reykjavik hotels included.
What to Expect

The tour begins at BSI bus terminal at the city center. Then set out on the Golden Circle to your first stop, the Geysir geothermal area.

Walk around and explore the spouting springs, and bubbling mud pools before stopping at Strokkur, the most active geyser in Iceland. Watch Strokkur erupt before heading to your next stop.

Next visit the Gulfoss, a two-tiered waterfall. Feel the waterfalls mist and snap photos standing next to it. Then continue on to your final stop, Thingvellir National Park.

Walk along the American and Eurasian tectonic plates in the park that are slowly pulling apart at the rate of a few centimeters a year. View the lava fields, lakes and valleys in the park before driving back to Reykjavik where the tour ends at BSI bus terminal (around 4:30pm or 6:30pm depending on your departure time).

Very enjoyable with knowledgeable guide

This direct version of the tour was just right. It takes in the three sights (national park, geyser and waterfall) and allows around 45 - 60 minutes at each. Enough time to take photos, visit the gift shops and take in a bite to eat....More
