On the drive, you will hear everything about the seismic activity underneath and what will happen in the next eruption at Reykjavik’s volcanoes.

To be out there in just a small group is something really special. You will see, mossy lava fields and volcanoes. Learn a bit about how the volcano systems work here. What you see is just the tip of the iceberg. You will meet black sands, hot springs and smell the sulfur in the air.

A good surprise
Our guide was interesting and treated the small group in a friendly manner helping me walk in some rocky paths.
The geothermal fields are amazing with striking bubbling mud pools with sulfur steam all over.. A wonderful excursion not to be missed.

The best way to see the places that the coaches can't go.
Having had our helicopter trip cancelled due to cloud, we decided on a private 4x4 excursion.
We were not disappointed.
Our driver, Finn, took us over to the lava fields south west of Reykjavik.
The quiet, barren wilderness was a joy to behold.
